Did they show the dart against the saints? kids a good passer. Nothing wrong with acknowledging that. Odds are he’s ahead of ours today. If ours grows to his potential he will be much better. Problem is at this level - if mechanics are bad they don’t get fixed if you have a ton of reps practicing the bad. If you don’t have a ton of reps it’s easier to fix footwork but odds are you have to learn a ton of concepts (on top of mechanics)... which is hard to do. We are hoping he is the exception that’s right in the sweet spot where he’s learned a lot conceptually but not locked into bad habits. Long shot but likable kid with all the potential in the world.

I do sometimes hold the coach accountable for not being able to stump for the players he needs.

For someone able to recognize that no one thinks he’s the worst every you sure do jump to and everyone thinks we are klansmen quickly.

He was a top ten pick. They all start pretty darn quick. I’d suspect that him starting fast wouldn’t be a shock to anyone involved and his “rotation” getting him to start week 3 is no mistake.

Yes. If arm strength or reading a defense are issues especially. Fitz as an example would break down trying to go deep or zip in an intermediate. But that weaker armed guy might have good touch in the short game with screens, swings, slants and crossing patterns underneath. granted, if he can’t hit deep balls those windows close quick underneath and it gets tough.

I don’t smoke but think we should fully legalize, and other than Pharma money most of the arguments against legalizing that I’ve come across when really boiled down to their core seem to either amount to either that the person doesn’t understand the actual science, or that they believe their own morals are so superior that they should be able to dictate to everyone. It’s rare that I come across a nuanced and fact based reasoning- but it seems manybe your wife is among those?

When we were down by about 30 late in the saints game and on third and Long he refused to take a shot... well... I knew he wasn’t likely the answer before that but it really was a “we 100% know now” moment. At some point you have to let the ball go downfield, even if a risk. He didn’t seem to get the added layer of being protective is fine but you need situational awareness

I wouldn’t be shocked to find out he was not quite as together as we thought. It’s possible he simply didn’t have a full breakdown but was teetering at times. losing both football and his dad... he’s at a crossroad here. Very little would surprise me at this point. Hopefully he dives into getting help instead of ending up in jail long term or worse...

That 3 would make up last years top 5 should be a pretty big red flag for the stat having some unaccounted factor. Unless you really love these rookies.
