Matt Ryan has like 6-7 years left. They will likely turn the roster over twice in that window and jones will be gone by the end. they won’t be giving him away though. Right price opens up a whole new window.

To be fair the saints model included cooks and graham being locker room distractions. graham was allegedly 110% checked out after the tag arguments and the receivers were insulting each other on Twitter that aside- I think jones is available at the right price. I think beane would covet him. He would be a fantastic fit. I don’t know if stars will align though.

Meh. A saints struggle all season was getting out too late. I’d say drew and Sean are as elite a pair as npretty much anyone. No one way to do it, but just like anything it can be a pro or con in your matchup. You do do have to be aware at the line though.

Him and possibly losing gronk. The team likely needs to very much show him a plan to have him stick around. I imagine sometime in the coming week or two there’s a major discussion with Brady.

I didn’t immediately see this years count but his first year with the pats vs last year here- he had 1 more penalty here but more yards there i suspect he’s in more “let them play and don’t let a flag decide the game” moments these days

I generally agree. If our expectation is perfection on dozens of decisions every single play - well, why watch? You’ll never enjoy. This crew did well in not inserting themselves and letting the players play without allowing the game to get away from them either.

Hogan is what he’s always been- a fine enough 3 or 4 good role player but not a focal point. Woods is a step up from that and an excellent complimentary piece that deserves praise as a good every down #2 but needs someone opposite him. Its a shame that Sammy-woods-hogan-clay-McCoy-(harvin)-Goodwin didn’t stay healthier and have a qb

To compare it to the saints game- the saints last three drives ended on passes with substantially more contact... there’s allowing players to play and then there’s a massive gap to what happened in NOLA.

Agreed. This board has been trying to say he’s done since he turned 30. It’s been obnoxious for a decade. I’m not positive about what he looks like next year but I’m finally extremely confident that at worst we have 2 years of above average an play to put up with and think we are already in the downslope.

It really should be more limited. It stole any human element from a great human moment (even if you don’t like the pats)

Staying put and drafting someone else would’ve had the same issues. Like it or not, mahomes will always be associated with us. Who knows what would’ve happened here. Agreed. He also gets to take any interesting insights they give while beating them up. Essentially he gets to absorb all their new ideas and turn them into robots.

What I’m saying is I don’t care about the case with that comment about the phone and that especially as a celeb I’d probably be hesitant to hand anyone my phone. Especially when even if he was really attacked it does next to nothing in assisting the officers. If he was claiming to have any type of documentation of who the perpetrator was and refusing to turn THAT over in a controlled manner I’d probably agree with you but if I’m him I’m probably not tossing the officers my phone to check my call log and whatever else. My point is global, not case specific. People jump for clues that someone’s acting guilty and I think this very specific behavior is overblown. It could be hiding a lie.... or an embarrassing anything that he doesn’t want leaked, or just a general distrust of police - and yes, to him these are just random officers. Of the dozens of things to look at with raised brow, this barely registers for me.
