  1. right be he didn’t agree with their beliefs so pansies all of them
  2. im not even sure that’s the lesson, so much as he who signs the paychecks gives you your working orders. they could’ve generally intertwined the two, under different leadership
  3. On the defense - we don’t have many huge star machines but they have been relatively efficient. So one might say that some of these guys are playing higher than their sack or INT or TFL stats might indicate... you know, since those are somewhat arbitrary metrics to measure a guy on too
  4. ultimately, when you are the better team, the last thing you like to see are wild cards. Ideally it’s a team in disarray and you should still win but with zero film you never know if you will get surprised and surprises can steal games you are expecting to win sometimes i hate to dwell on the pats but they are prime examples. They flashed a stat the other day about BB against young qbs and he was just crushing them. The flip side example being years ago when a much less talented Miami team shocked him with the wild cat. It doesn’t have to be that stark a change from normal but if the kid comes in amped up and decides to hang his hat on doing something really well that we didn’t expect... well... Keenum wouldn’t surprise us.
  5. And it’s possible they did and he blew it off or that this presents eerily similar to something common and is rare itself... but on the surface, yup, exactly my thought
  6. One might think that the team doctor might’ve recommended a referral option? but you do you, Tom.
  7. I don’t know about this condition nor did I stay at at holiday inn express last night... but it feels like with constant access to world class medical professionals that a growth would get earlier follow up. 6 years feels like a long time. But there could be a lot of simple explanations.
  8. The size of the cliff we’d have to fall off is much larger given the schedule. So I think we end up a playoff team but not cause it’s a radically better group of guys.
  9. If you ignored the logo on the helmet and looked at that offseason without much context or investment.... it was objectively insane. Any single move was generally fine but from the day Rex was fired through to the KB trade was crazy
  10. I think you are largely right. Either own it, or assign responsibility but ambiguous negative comments aren’t my favorite
  11. why? He gave up a 3 for a bad one.
  12. min a matter of minutes you went from maybe not winning another game to 4 slam dunks.
  13. Holy hell...
  14. they aren’t an elite team. they are a functional team with a relatively manageable schedule that should put them in a position to make some noise. Nothing wrong with that but boy do I wish we would’ve added another piece or two this year.
  15. are you the same Paulo from before? if so, my suspicions even higher now
  16. I think he’s a promising young QBs at a crossroads with some red flags both of them. allen is about to have one of the best shots of his career to win the big one. Goff will need to prove he can be that guy even when the deck isn’t stacked incredibly in his favor. Goff passed his first test, Allen’s taking his first test. that’s such a small sample that it’s hard to point to meaningfully well, McVay similarMy has to overcome declining talent once you pay the QB market value. Paired with a big hit in Gurley. Both guys will have their chops tested with more film on them and less talent around to hide their weaknesses. The first few years after paying a qb will be highly interesting stories in today’s nfl
  17. these seems like the start to a possible horror movie.
  18. I’m almost universally the opposite. Which is funny coming from a guy that catches essentially all and spends time here too... buuuuut - the games always there tomorrow. Be present at the kids birthday, weddings, vacations etc... if your family are die hard and you are super curious about Nfl fans overseas, no shame in grabbing a beer at the pub and checking out the scene but don’t be the dude that’s back in a hotel room watching a choppy stream by yourself when you can catch a reply when you get home
  19. and yet, probably the smart play
  20. I’m not sure I believe automatic double team or he will walk his guy backwards. It’s a bold claim to throw out there.
  21. I feel like a lot of posters pointed at cap hell last year. it’s not the end of the world but feels like he was a mistake and fair to point that out. We traded for KB too and he wasn’t a great one despite the regime knowing him well. I think it’s not a particularly hot take to say keeping dareus til this offseason and spending on a better WR and possibly even getting an upgrade on OL would have been nice for a team drafting a qb.
  22. Hes been a really interesting one to follow fan reaction on... it feels like there’s a big segment that likes to feel like they get it by pointing out he shouldn’t have a huge stat line. But I think most of them haven’t really watched him and are mostly chirping talking points not analysis.
  23. to their credit they’ve beat everyone for 15 years take these seasons when you can get them and if you can leapfrog the pats the Super Bowl ends up just 2 home playoff games away, right?
  24. the crazy part... this is still his RFA season right? He’s still never been a free agent? And may be cut and still not be one til March?
  25. I agree something seems off, and I’d love to shoot higher (been banging that drum all year).... but assuming nothing crazy comes out I’d rather see him than senorise perry on our offensive depth chart, in the simplest terms. He isn’t my absolute top choice but I think we are better with that move than no move at all, unless dirt comes out.
