  1. Yup. I’m dealing in some student housing discussions, and certainly understand intent vs what may actually happen. Many schools have similar variations behind the scenes.
  2. Seeing things like freshman only on campus with single occ dorm rooms instead of double plus quarantine dorms as an example
  3. those dominos are starting to fall now that schools started announcing. and Harvard is having students on campus but virtual classes.
  4. that, and you know, the whole season falling apart slowly Top ten is essentially just establishing yourself as better than average (10 vs like 12 is opinion more than anything. That Knox could be slightly above average isn’t toooooo bold. He could be a lot of things at this point. Some big crossroads ahead.
  5. unfortunately you have to get pretty high levels of buy in. and then you have to get (part time) refs, coaches, trainers, cameramen etc... on board too. players with ill family members, shaky marriages, kids to be birthed during the season all might be hesitant to sign up for a bubble And unlike the NBA, we are taking like 2,000 players plus the support staff. I’m amazed by the direction this has gone but it’s a much bigger lift than I expected 4 months ago.
  6. realistically peg me around 5-10% roughly, and a few years of similar to absorb it
  7. because they have a TE1 that just signed a monster deal and our tight end room is Knox, Kroft and Sweeney. Unless you think it’s going to be harder to unseat hooper than Knox. our weapons would be around him not in front of him. but you obviously knew that.
  8. ironically, doc, we may finally have the weapons to entice a guy like this... you don’t want to be alone as a threat. A good running game and couple of deep threats opens up for a guy like him (see Kelce). im not arguing we are a slam dunk to chase him, just that I don’t think your reasons are great.
  9. First parts a bit of a waffle from simply the play book knowledge. second ignores that rosenhaus is above all consistent in finding the path to the pay day. That’s not behind hooper, that’s being a TE1 for a year successfully. He doesn’t need to rush a deal for less or demanding a crazy unearned deal. He’s in fact often very practical in that regard.
  10. 1) So we are thinking only bad units with new coaches or new (low skill) additions to the unit? 2) there is a great chance he wants to showcase that skill before, not after, signing a new deal. I think he’s unlikely to rush a contract.
  11. he’d jump to the top of our food chain at TE and be his job to lose at TE1. So I’m not sure the “much less in buffalo” comment works here. and we wouldn’t have to pay him this year
  12. yea, the redskins changing their names sure does wipe out all the traditions in the nfl
  13. Still reeling from the bullets change and now they do this to you?
  14. what he’s arguing isn’t more viewers alone but essentially 3 additional nationally televised games instead. to shift the games around would definitely come with renegotiated tv contracts
  15. there is one accurate item buried in here.
  16. that you haven’t seen anything says everything.
  17. depends if they are LTBE (likely to be earned) or not. Likely count this year but free up rollover if unearned. NLTBE do not count this year but if earned count next year.
  18. that’s above average for non-RB 3rd round picks and he still has a couple years cheap
  19. we As a country are never great at statistics, nuance and analysis... but it’s been shockingly bad around this. People just throwing numbers all over the place without an ounce of context.
  20. Ultimately, if you don’t think either is THE GUY but both are acceptable players the one with the rookie deal is far more valuable. Middle of the pack qbs tank in value on deal #2 but are fantastic on a rookie deal. if you think either is a solid boom or bust, that obviously quickly changes the equation.
  21. john, you don’t get to insult anyone after your “the bills receivers are good and kelvin benjamin will ball out in a contract year” stance (yet alone several other hot takes in buffalos extreme favor). I think cam and BB could be an absolute tire fire with personality clashes... but the closest comparable in the league is probably Big Ben, who has been beat to hell and is 7 years older. Cams specific injuries could derail him but in general big guys that take hits and sling the ball around can still succeed. If he flops i think it’ll be a lack of WR and personality and not that he’s too old though.
  22. But everyone’s positive they don’t have it, only other people do. Duh! unfortunately not accurate but I think that’s what quite a few folks think.
  23. He’s also lost two years of his cheap contract though.
