  1. Just depends on the deal. If someone wants to give you Bradley Chubb trade value...........absolutely. If Ryan Poles wants to trade you his 2024 second rounder for him? Yes. A potential late 2nd rounder to a contender? Would have to be upgrading elsewhere at the same time. 3rd rounder of any kind? Forget it. If Epenesa has a big year they could end up getting a late 3rd round comp pick for him in 2025 so juicing early not worth the squeeze. Before the season I was envisioning Gabe Davis and Epenesa being swapped at the deadline with the Bills upgrading at WR but I think there is going to be a lot of good players available at the deadline which will lower their trade value.
  2. The extra fatigue impacts the emotions of the team and I agree with the OP that those bad drops were particularly deflating to the Bills and created a lot of space for the Jags to stick to their gameplan. Not the first time we've seen an exhausted Bills team on a roller coaster like this in an international game.
  3. Knox had a drop prior to the play where Allen overthrew him while on the run.
  4. 9) I'd always expect the least physically fit.........which would be the offensive line.........to be the most affected by travel. I think the decision to wait to travel until late in the week.........especially versus a team with a whole extra week to adjust.........was clearly a mistake. 13) I guess they thought Harty was still the same player that they saw excel in limited exposure in 2021. He's simply not as fast or as explosive as he was then. They should have done their homework better, clearly. And even then I can't explain why he got more than a league minimum flyer with incentives after missing almost all of last season with a debilitating toe injury. Sloppy work by pro personnel and Beane on that one. Whatever the plan was at the time.........there just isn't a lot you can do with a WR who is 5'6" without the speed/quickness to break off CB's.
  5. No, they wouldn't need much cap space to take on Adams this season. He will only have about $3M in unamortized salary by mid-season.
  6. You might be right............but that's why they drafted guys like Kaiir Elam and Dorian Williams.........to start at those positions. They don't have that guy at WR and making your QB look as good as you can is the most productive use of assets an organization can make. If they need a DT1T they can call one of the street free agents like Philadelphia did last year when their run defense was a sieve heading into December.
  7. He wouldn't be replaced he'd still play 70% of the snaps and at the same boundary position, most likely. Adams and Diggs would likely take turns on the inside........which would be torture for most defenses. They'd probably be a bit less inclined to run 2 TE and Shakir/Sharty/Sherfield would get less snaps but that would be a positive development given what we have seen of them.
  8. If they get Caleb Williams or Drake Maye they aren't just going to be bad because they are Jets. Franchise QB's change franchises. See the Bengals among many examples.
  9. That and the Jets gotta' win the gimmee games so that they don't draft high enough to get one of the top QB prospects in the draft.
  10. The way I see it, the current Chiefs team just needs another receiver..........which I suspect they will add by the deadline. Not having another very good team in division gave them the opportunity to give young players a chance to step up. They might even get Juju back for next to nothing and be able to basically run back the same playmaking personnel that put the 49ers D in a blender on the way to a SB victory last year. Also the Chiefs defense looks notably better so far this year than any of the previous times they've played 49ers so I would expect same type of multiple score win. I think the Bills match up better against KC than the 49ers and that's been evidenced in their last few meetings.
  11. The guest interviews are typically told most of the questions they are going to be asked before they come on so that they can prepare.........the order probably didn't match how he was told to prep.
  12. This has to be a troll job or you are her Bills fan husband. She isn't as terrible as she was initially..........but she is still bad with her monotonous long-winded rambling.
  13. Sounds like you are one of those folks who just has supreme confidence in Shanahan despite Mahomes whipping hizass in all 3 career meetings. Add Josh Allen to that and Shanny is 0-4 against them and all losses by 10 points or more.
  14. Meh. I think there are a lot of people who think the running game is making a full comeback in importance because the teams used as prime examples, like SF and Philly, are doing it with some of the best combinations of playmakers at the receiving spots and in a conference with relatively little QB talent. Indy ain't got the playmakers in the receiving game and they are in a conference full of franchise QB's so who cares. Put SF in the AFC West and they are a wild card team. Put the Eagles in the AFC East........same.
  15. Ehh.........Gabe Davis averaged 77 yards per game in his first 4 games played last year and just 55 ypg this season. He had almost 6 targets per game last year...........that proved to be far too many...........the very few things Gabe can do well are things you don't want Josh Allen trying to force 6 times per game. Personally, I think about 4 per game is just right for him.
  16. Yes, agreed it is the pedestrian average fan thing to do. That's my point. If you want to be there to make noise for the defense but you have a weak bladder or something.......you go to concession/restroom when they are on offense and not at halftime like a tourist. Trust me that we've barely scratched the surface on the amount of disruption that crowd noise could make. I doubt more than 20% of fans are even making any noise at all on defense and it's still pretty loud. For those of us that attended the 2020 social distance divisional round game against Baltimore...........that was where it became clear just how much room we have for improvement. That sparse crowd was loud as hell because it was a really rabid, committed group of fans that were almost all making noise.
  17. Yeah Sherfield is not known as a hands guy. He dropped a shoulda'-been TD in the playoff game against the Bills last season. And the Shakir pass was so remarkably on point that Shakir should get a drop for that.
  18. It was pleasantly loud........fans were definitely up for this big matchup. But the stands were half-empty on the Dolphins first drive of the second half. Not enough awareness for a should-be great football crowd.
  19. I felt like Dorsey used the Raiders game to sharpen the execution of the offense. I do believe that part of the issue in the Jets game was the fact that the offense hadn't played much live football together yet. So I had no problem with them throwing the ball around in a blowout against a team that had little or no chance of coming back. And yeah I don't believe that QB run was the initial call. The sea just parted so he ran in.
  20. Well baseball isn't really a quick-serve sport like football so unless you are listening to talk radio the schadenfreude doesn't automatically arrive the day after losses. As disappointing as an 82-80 season is for the Yankees we still got to see Cole win the Cy Young, Judge continue to play like an all-time great for the 100 games he played, German pitch a perfect game etc.. It wasn't a lost season there were 82 very enjoyable days and though they waited too long to do it..........they did eventually bring up most of their near-ready prospects and gave them those valuable at bats/pitches so that they have a better chance of stepping in and playing much better in 2024. Finishing with the best record since the end of August with a lineup with 4-6 yutes in the starting lineup every day was promising. And also now it appears that Hal might be willing to address the over-reliance on analytics. Next thing would be not clinging to dead money. No excuse to have the owner on the other side of town with a fraction of the revenue out-spending you by nearly $100M in a sport without a salary cap. Yankees should never NOT have the highest payroll. There were times in some of the best Steinbrenner years where their payroll was double that of the next team.
  21. Yeah, sounds about right. But it wasn't a post about top 100 lists it was about a Yankees prospect winning an award and acknowledging a great pro debut season for Thorpe. Yanks have more than their share(literally 1/20th of that list you referenced) of prospects in top 100 and as some of those graduate to the majors next season they will be followed up by another wave of them. Cardinals system was overrated and now it's pretty barren...........but don't despair..........by virtue of their last place finish this season they will be drafting near the top of round 1 so you'd think they'd get a good player.
  22. It wasn't just a camp scrap.........it was the all-time Bills team fight moment. Parker got dropped on his head by a man he outweighed by 100# and got cut soon after. Bills fans were delighted because he didn't have the feet to play tackle, in their opinion. KC got themselves a very good lineman..........Bills got Jerry Ostroski at RT for the next two years.
  23. Be honest........when 5'11" Damien Covington picked Glenn Parker up and body slammed him in camp and it was caught on video and replayed over and over on ESPN.......did you or did you not think that Parker wasn't long for the NFL? The second act of his career turned out to be very good.
  24. You aren't wrong that Frazier might not have been good enough, in the Bills situation, to win a SB with.........but in fairness to your post being relegated.........it was a LONG WAY to go to make a pretty common fan point. It's not out of the box for fans to think they can't win a SB with so-and-so.
