  1. Unfortunately I did, but only wasted an hour instead of an entire afternoon. Really is inexcusable for the Bills at home to never be competitive in the game. They were completely flat.
  2. Had to record the game, but I'm glad I didn't waste a full three hours watching that crap. Bills' window of opportunity was last year. Don't see a Super Bowl anytime soon. As good as Allen is, he isn't as good as Burrow or Mahomes, and that isn't going to change anytime in the next several years. Biggest factor though is OL and next the DL. Without a better OL the team will never scale the mountain.
  3. Another thing about both running backs - people here love to criticize the OL when it comes to protecting Allen, but don't seem to give the RBs much credit for both have better than 4.5 YPC despite having to run behind the same OL.
  4. At least there is a DVR solution for commercials, although you run the risk of seeing the score from IMs on your phone or inadvertently seeing the score elsewhere. My biggest gripe with the NFL greed are the Thursday night games and the additional regular season game. The Thursday games truly put players at risk given the lack of recuperation time, and I think the crappy quality of the games on Thursday reflect it. Expecting players to go full bore for 17 games is also hard on the players (and creates an imbalance in home/away games, but that's another story). The only reason for Thursday games and an extra regular season game is the $$$$$ brought it. Both diminish the quality of play and are detrimental to health of athletes.
  5. I slightly disagree here. Singletary is tough. That last carry was epic. Cook has better YPC for the season, but I think that's somewhat due to Singletary being used in more traditional rushing situations. In any event, I think they're a good 1-2 combo.
  6. Well, given Damar's recovery thus far, I wouldn't discount it.
  7. I'm an optimist. Raiders beat KC on Saturday, Ravens beat Bengals and Bills beat Pats. Makes the Buffalo-Cincinnati game irrelevant, Bills get home field throughout, and the only remaining thought about that game will be thinking how miraculous it will be when we witness Damar's complete recovery.
  8. Bills can beat anyone, but lose tomorrow night and you have to win two on the road in the playoffs, not an easy feat. Win the next two and everything looks possible.
  9. I'd prefer a lifetime of memories that a trip to Europe or Australia or Africa might provide for that money, but everyone's priorities and desires differ, so I don't criticize anyone for spending that kind of money.
  10. Weather affecting most of the games today. Playing in freezing weather ain't easy.
  11. As bad as they've played, they will win this game. Next week? That's likely another story.
  12. The reason people are upset is that after last year's ending, anything short of a Super Bowl appearance means the season is a failure, and the Bills are not playing like Super Bowl participants.
  13. Seems the Bills don't want the #1 seed.
  14. Bills so close and yet so far from almost locking up the 1 seed. Game against Cincy will be so huge.
  15. Happily, the Bills have solved most of the problems with access to games by being a powerhouse team. I'm in AZ and for the most part never had the Bills available. This season, however, given the Bills marquee status, they have been on in AZ multiple times in addition to the Sunday night, Monday night and Thursday games. Out of 14 games so far I think only 3 haven't been available in AZ.
  16. That's the point - it was perfect technique. Very effective and greatly reduces any chance for a roughing penalty. I don't understand guys who lead with their helmets and then get all pissy when they're called for a penalty. Milano's tackle should be on every instructional video.
  17. Ok, score here, take the lead and then blow them out in the 2nd half. Right the ship.
  18. Guess the Bills missed their window last year. It was fun while it lasted.
  19. 3rd and 4th and short is the Bills achilles heel. Mystifying.
  20. I understand the need to move the game, but it sucks that the Bills will now have two fewer true home games than true road games. Seems like the football gods looked at the Bills being Super Bowl favorites at the beginning of the year and said "not so fast."
  21. You can't say he wasn't clutch against KC last year. He's not the one that screwed up the 12 seconds.
  22. I'll cut the defense some slack. You have guys in the secondary out there who would likely be on the practice squad absent injuries. Losing the best safety tandem in football inevitably hurts. What's going on with Allen is far more inexplicable. I'd take a closer look at the 1st half other Packer game to see if he suffered a possible concussion. His decision making in the last 10 quarters is full of bonehead decisions and bad throws. That last interception was Noah Petermanesque.
  23. Something this team has become adept at doing recently.
