  1. You don't force anything, but if you get a couple of 20 yd plays a FG might win it. It was a cowardly move when OT is at best a crapshoot.
  2. Definition of insanity: Being a Bills fan.
  3. The football gods rectifying the refs' mistake!
  4. I give up. Sports isn't worth this crap.
  5. F*ck. What an atrocious non-call.
  6. I'll take "Things I Did Not Expect" for $1,000 Alex. The question is "What is the Bills' Defense is Carrying the Team this Year."
  7. Amazing what turnovers can do for you.
  8. Ok, let's make that the break that turns the season around. Get a TD and start the road to the Super Bowl.
  9. Some of us miss the old school 60s.
  10. Yeah, but he got stripped a second time and was only saved by a lucky bounce.
  11. Looking back at history, the McDermott era is starting to resemble the 2nd Lou Saban era and the Chuck Knox era. They both got the Bills respectable after being horrible, made the playoffs but didn't get to the Super Bowl and then after a few years the goodness faded away. The Bills are 5-5 in the easy part of their schedule. At the very worst they should have been 7-3 in these 10 games and more likely 8-2. Now, a 6 or 7 win season is likely.
  12. The first 5 have nothing to do with coaching. They are all on the players. I'm pretty sure Dorsey didn't call Josh's sucky throw at the end of the first half, or his missed handoff to Cook, or his other bad throws. Cook didn't fumble at Dorsey's direction, and Davis hasn't been coached not to catch a ball. As bad as the coaches may be (and it is a very mediocre staff), a huge part of the blame falls on the players, particularly on the offense, including Allen, who without a doubt has regressed.
  13. Lots of teams get tough schedules every year, some of which is dictated by the team's results from the prior year, so the Bills getting a tough schedule this year isn't surprising. However, it appears the Bills got an extra dose of difficult. Their most difficult non-divisional games are on the road (Dallas being the exception), a game overseas with the Bills being the guinea pig of Goodell's London scheduling "experiment," and a late bye. The one bright spot was the early season Miami game being in Buffalo rather than Miami like last year. I don't know how much human input there is in the schedule making, but it seems the Bills got the short end of the stick this year.
  14. Given the Bills' somewhat uneven performance so far this season, every game seems extremely important, but this week seems especially so. Still facing road games at KC, Philly, LAC and Miami, with 3 losses already on the board, the Bills' margin of error has narrowed heading into Game 8. Plus, it's a conference game and the Bills have already dug themselves a hole with 3 conference losses. I just hope the 10 days between games allows the Bills to be as healthy as possible and afforded the coaching staff sufficient time to dial down on how to beat the Bengals. Hopefully last year's drubbing by the Bengals really incentivizes the Bills and they avoid their recent 1 quarter blues.
  15. Or have a life and watch less football.
  16. Yeah, but he didn't just vehemently disagree, he VEHEMENTILY disagreed, therefore, the tape obviously lie.
  17. At the beginning of this sports year, I did not have the Yankees and Bills missing the playoffs and the Arizona Wildcat FB team making a bowl game on my bingo card, and yet at this moment those three things are very possible.
  18. Unfortunately in a week to week league the Bills have 3 losses already, more than the other teams mentioned. You dig yourself a deep enough hole and the week to week league becomes a week to week walk to no playoffs land.
  19. He stunk against Arizona. Talking about regressing, Williams is having a much worse year this year than last.
  20. Bills have gone from Conference Championship loss to two Divisional rounds losses to what is at best a Wild Card team or even no playoffs. How are people going to react if the high point of the Josh Allen era was three years ago?
  21. Except his shoulder is banged up. It's hurting his consistency and would only get worse if you start running him intentionally. That's the conundrum with Allen. Not running takes away his superpower, but running damages what he needs to be able to consistently do, which is make accurate throws.
  22. 9-8 is the most realistic record given the schedule ahead (losses to Bengals, Eagles, Chiefs, Chargers and Dolphins). Don't think that's gonna make the playoffs. Team isn't exactly headed in the right direction.
  23. It could be that Allen's style of play just isn't sustainable over a long career. He has to run to be most effective and he keeps getting banged up with injuries that aren't enough to keep him out of games but hurt his performance.
