Geez, he should have gone to his left and he could have milked that last second.
-
The Texans' kicker will be sending Goodsen a big thank you gift.
-
You should never milk the clock when you need a TD. FGs can be more of a given, but TDs never are. Colts just went way too conservative there.
-
Geez, what a choke.
-
As have a multitude of viewers.
-
Not the kind of odds I'm comfortable with. Jags need to win and the game is meaningless to the Titans.
-
Yep, and yet somehow if they win and the Bills lose the Steelers are in and the Bills aren't. Life ain't fair somehow.

It’s division title or bust (updates on non-Bills games)

Yeah, I think the Bills need to win if they are going to do anything beyond just making the playoffs. Even if they get in while losing I just don't think they will pull off a road win in the first round. They beat the Dolphins and go in as a 2 seed with at least 2 home games and they may get their sh*t together and complete a trifecta and make it to the Super Bowl. -
Bills-Dolphins Week 18 for the Division! SUNDAY NIGHT GAME
IronyAbounds replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Anyone else remember a team that was either going to be a 2 seed or not make the playoffs at all? I hoping it doesn't come down to that, but with the Ravens having little to play for other than staying healthy and the Titans sucking, it seems likely. -
Just don't see Jax losing and I think Ravens will lie down against the Steelers. Absolutely crazy that a Bills' win or loss is likely the difference between a 2 seed or no playoffs at all. No playoffs at all also maddening given there will likely be at least 2 8 loss teams making the playoffs.
-
I really don't want a must win next given how lousy the team has looked the past two weeks. Ravens and Browns probably sitting guys next week so two likely needed losses next week aren't nearly as likely. Hopefully the Bills get their sh*t together during the week and take care of business.

Did he throw into double coverage?

I can't think of a more odious outcome than to lose out to Denver for a playoff spot. That would take the 12 man fiasco to a higher level.

OJ could cut through defenses like few others, just like he could cut through...never mind.

I agree totally if we win out we are in. I was responding to the need to win out and discussing the prospect of getting in with 7 losses. It's hard to believe a 10-7 won't make it, but at this point unless the Dolphins lose out it is dicey at best for the Bills to get in at 10-7. Easy solution is to go 11-6 where it is almost impossible for the Bills not to get in.
-
The Texans win against the Titans really hurt in that regard. Both the Texans and Colts are likely to be 10-6 when they meet. Browns have the Jets to get their 10th. Bengals have the Steelers and Browns to get to 10. They all would hold the tie-breaker against the Bills. Colts may be the weakest of those teams and conceivably could lose to Atlanta or LV, and perhaps the Browns could beat the Texans next week, but that only opens up 1 slot for the Bills as a 7 loss team and they need 2.

What’s with the dueling Monday Night games?
IronyAbounds replied to peterpan's topic in The Stadium Wall
It sucks for those who love to watch football regardless of who is playing, but if you're mainly a fan of your team I doubt it makes much difference. If the NFL really wants to get innovative my suggestion is to allow viewers to pick the game they want to watch at a particular time period rather than just assigning games to particular regions. Bills games are appointment tv for me. Otherwise, I really don't care all that much. The Bills-Eagles game is a good example. AZ didn't get that game so I only was able to watch the end of the game (as painful as that was). Before that I barely paid attention. Perhaps they don't want to hurt the Sunday Ticket or NFL Redzone, but I actually think overall ratings would be better. -
At this point in time this is the least enjoyable Bills' season ever. Just a clusterfluck of epic proportions.
-
I said it after 13 seconds and I'll say it now, there are no guarantees from year to year and missed opportunities are killers because the next year the opportunity may not be there. Even with a banged up defense this team should make the playoffs. Two horrendous losses to the Jets and Pats are backbreakers because they cut the Bills' margin of error down to a sliver. Something is awry with the team, that seems apparent.

Mt. Rushmore should be reserved for Super Bowl victories, or at the very least, Conference Championship victories. Anything else should just be a plaque in the park.

8th late-game defensive meltdown this season
IronyAbounds replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Haven't most if not all of the collapses this season come after Milano, Jones and White were injured? It simply is difficult to overcome loss of 3 key guys like that, particularly Milano who ran the defense while on the field. -
Oh, in that case, the Bills aren't a top 3-5 front office either. This front office has put the Bills in an almost impossible salary cap position and are stuck with killer contracts with Diggs and Miller. A top 3-5 front office would have resulted in more than a single Conference Championship appearance in 6-7 years. After all, it is the front office that produced today's coaches and players that are mediocre this year.
-
Really? The Bills a top 3-5 team in the league? At 6-6 and looking at what is likely a losing season? Top 3-5 teams don't lose 7 to games in a season. Top 3-5 teams don't lose to the Jets, Pats, and Broncos and barely (and I mean barely) beat the Giants. At this point the Bills are a top 12 team at best.

I'll always root for the Bills, but I've given up hope they will ever win the Super Bowl, at least in my lifetime. A lot of Lucy yanking the ball away from Charlie Brown in the Bills' history, and the more emotionally invested you get with the team the more they eventually disappoint you. One Conference Championship appearance since the last Super Bowl appearance (that's 30 years folks). Simply shocking that the University of Arizona football team has had a much more successful season this year than the Bills. Nostradamus couldn't have predicted that. Nantz uttering the words "wide right" on Bass' miss was a bit of a gut punch as well.
