Well, the Yankees closed out old Yankee Stadium in 2008 w/o making the playoffs and came back in 2009 in new Yankee Stadium and won it all. I guess I could live with that for the Bills.

I'd like to attribute this to it being a Thursday Night game, which btw, I think is simply criminal, but the Bills just look disinterested and unprepared. -

Yes, but below average is about right. He's clearly off the past two games and while the receiving corp sucks, they aren't the problem today. -

Just boneheads, Josh screws up the backward pass and then the fumble. Geez. -

Not really, there was a defensive holding call too, so they only gained 5 yards. -
At this point it's Super Bowl or bust. Barely making the playoffs as a Wild Card and losing in the first or second round isn't a whole lot better than not making the playoffs at all. With this roster, this set of bottom third in the NFL wide receivers, there is no logical hope to make the Super Bowl, although the AFC certainly looks pretty awful this year.

Of course they're playing a 1-7 team, so this is expected. -

"Tet" is some analyst's fictional nickname for McMillan. He never used that at Arizona, he has always been T-Mac. -

Not to mention Fins crush Falcons. I know it won't happen, but in my dreams T Mac somehow becomes a Bill. He's the outside receiver Coleman was supposed to be plus great over the middle. With a quality QB he'd be electric. -

My two professional teams, Yankees and Bills, have generational talents in Judge and Allen (although frankly I think Josh is a bit overrated), and seem incapable of winning championships. What a waste of talent. -
Preseason Week 2 Bills at Bears - Game thread

Setting aside who you may be rooting for, what is kinda sad is that a number of these guys are playing in their last (or certainly next to last) football game ever. Think about it, years of pop warner, high school and college football, and suddenly it's over. Not to mention you have to find a real job. -

Prepare For The Bills To Go International Regularly
IronyAbounds replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
Look for the Bills to open up Trump Gaza Stadium in 2027 😡 I can't tell you how much I hate these international games. All just to line the billionaires pockets. -
As far as football goes, still very upset and depressed. My view on sports was lifted up a bit after being in attendance when Arizona beat Iowa State after Caleb Love hit a 55 footer to take the game into overtime. Sports is a powerful drug and it has a way of sucking you back in no matter how bad the disappointments.

That falls into the category of "Aside from that how did you like the play Mrs. Lincoln." The stats are basically meaningless without a Super Bowl win or at least a Super Bowl appearance. With that said, Josh didn't choke and it wasn't an easy catch for Kincaid. The Bills made too many mistakes (coaching and otherwise) and the refs screwed them on some spots. Just another reason to scale back caring about sports in general and the Bills in particular. Just isn't worth the anguish.

Dalton Kincaid- why so underwhelming this season?
IronyAbounds replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Watching the replay it was catchable but not an easy catch. But good lord, if Josh had only looked to Shakir on his left. He would have gone for 30 yards, there was no one near him. The odd thing is once he saw the blitz you'd expect him to look for the Shakir.
