  1. How is it that the Pats have the most obnoxious coach and QB, and the smuggest, smarmiest piece of ***** Owner? Makes me ill.
  2. Nope. I think both teams get at least one chance, then if tied next score wins. This game was decided the minute the fuc*ing Pats won the coin toss. With the rules the way they are defenses don't stand a chance, particularly at the end of games.
  3. Elbert "Golden Wheels" Dubenion. Hell, he's still alive and even at 85 (soon to be 86) he would likely be better than most of the Bills' current receivers. ? He would even fit in with the current politicalization of the game. He and other black players boycotted the 1965 AFL All Star game in New Orleans because of discrimination there and forced the game to be moved to Houston.
  4. I don't necessarily disagree with you. I just feel a bit sorry for the guy because he'll be selling life insurance come next September.
  5. It demonstrates how important it is to try and fix Allen's deficiencies as a passer. Running QBs can look good for a while, but for long term and consistent success you have to have a QB who is at least an adequate passer (and hopefully better).
  6. Actually if you want to place blame look at the Bears' offense. You expect to win games if you only give up 16 points. Doesn't change the fact that a kicker who had a below average year failed at a game winning kick that, while certainly not a gimme by any stretch was still not a lengthy prayer.
  7. It is rough on the kicker and not excusing the fans, but keep in mind the guy had the most missed kicks in the NFL this season. It wasn't like the fans boo'd the guy for his first miss ever. At least the kicker will likely never be boo'd again since my guess is his career is over. Finding a new kicker will be a priority in Chicago.
  8. Then again, if the Bills pull out a win in the first Fins game they likely don't crap out against the Jets and head into the Pats game with some serious momentum. They still likely lose that game, but finishing at 8-8 with a head of steam heading into '19 might entice more and better FAs that more than compensate for dropping some slots in the draft. Teams that tank generally are ***** franchises that start losing as a habit. I'd rather have seen the Bills go 6-1 down the stretch, but ymmv.
  9. Big shout out to Levi, who has gone from a walk on to starter on Alabama's NC team, to being an UDFA who may be at the top of this year's class. Great to see someone on the Bills from Tucson making it big.
  10. I know it's a good thing at the moment, but hearing wide right is always a punch in the gut.
  11. Although players who go to Buffalo generally end up loving it, it is a struggle getting any decent guys to bite, which leads to overpaying and further disappointment. Lather, rinse repeat, it's been the story since the mid-90s. Plus I just don't trust any decisions made by this organization.
  12. Lost at home to a horrible Jets team. Losing at home to a horrible Lions team. There is very little foundation to build on, so those expecting any significant improvement next year are in for a nasty surprise. The Bills may not be the worst organization in the NFL, but they are certainly in the conversation.
  13. As would that steaming pile my dog just left on the lawn.
  14. His overall grade on all the QBs was an incomplete, while suggesting Mayfield has shown the most promise of all of them, which in my view is likely an accurate one. Allen's scrambles have been impressive, but as Barnwell notes that is not a path to long term success in the NFL for a QB. The other point that he makes with respect to Mayfield is that he seems to have been helped immensely by the change in play calling, while noting that Daboll needs to help Allen more in that regard. I'm not sure any one of the 5 will end up as a real franchise QB, but it's going to take time before anyone who isn't a fanboy or a detractor of any of them can really make that judgement.
  15. At this point I'm not sure who is more delusional, those who think Allen is a franchise QB, or those who think Allen is a bust. The jury is still out and we should expect a lengthy deliberation.
  16. It's not the uniform but the standing Buffalo that gets me stoked. That's just personal to me because that's what they had when I lived in Buffalo and went to games. I'm also more of a traditionalist and prefer the classic looks. The standing Buffalo, the lightning bolt for the Chargers, the old Oilers' oil rig, the Raider's insignia and the old Pats helmets are simply the best. It pisses me off that the Titans didn't allow Houston to keep the Oilers name like the NFL did for the Browns. But that's just me.
  17. Is the Pope Catholic? Does a bear ***** in the woods? You know the drill. I thought the Bills giving up less than 200 yds and losing by 32 was a record, and it was. Another record was Peterman's yards per catch for QBs throwing over 30 passes. It really takes a talented front office to conceive an offensive squad this inept. Kudos to McBeane.
  18. Never understood why the Bills traded Lamonica, lol. Actually, Kemp was viewed as a winner and there was no reason to think the Bills would collapse in '67 like they did. Btw, Kemp's stats in '67 were Petermanesque. 43.6% completion %, 14TDs, 26 INTs. Anyhow, with respect to the topic at hand, tanking doesn't necessarily accomplish anything. Look at the Browns. Even the Rams had to go through 3 tank like seasons before finally emerging with a good team. You need a good front office and there is nothing thusfar that suggests that McBeane are the ones capable of doing it. Botching the QB situation like they have done doesn't help the team a bit in the future because nothing was done to help Allen be a better QB next year. Homers have to rely on a tanking/rebuild theory because it's the only way to survive this year's debacle.
  19. EJ was picked in the first round because he physically looked like a stud franchise QB. The jury is obviously out on Allen, but I sincerely hope he doesn't end up in the same category. Peterman is just the giant blimp size advertisement for how utterly inept this organization is. I suppose you can argue it's an elaborate scheme to tank, but that is almost too obvious an explanation, and in any event, if it is tanking it's being done poorly since the goal is to be no quite so obvious. People talk about how difficult it is for the Bills to get quality Free Agents to come to the Bills. Obviously it is even harder to get any quality front office personnel to come to the Queen City either. Just a damn shame.
  20. Jesus H, how many teams have 129 yards of penalties, less than 200 yds total offense and win 41-9. What an abortion of a game. We thank the Pegulas for saving NFL football in Buffalo. What was on display today was not NFL football.
  21. If anyone connected with the Bills expected this team to be this bad they should be fired. It takes a special kind of incompetence to put together an offense this monumentally awful. This was even more unexpected than the Spanish Inquisition.
  22. Now its 41 points and under 200 yards for the Bears. The Cardinals have been making a play for worst team in the NFL. The Bills this week: Hold our beers.
  23. just wondering how many teams have given up 34 points while holding their opponent to under 200 yards. That has to be some sort of record.
  24. As bad as this front office is, and I'm pretty certain they are in the bottom five of NFL, the people hiring the front office, i.e., the Pegulas, are absolutely clueless about running a football team so in all likelihood anyone they'd pick for the front office won't be much better. I'm not sure there's anyone with even a smidgen of competence associated with the Bills at this point.
  25. With this front office, I'm not so sure.
