  1. You can't underestimate the benefit of the schedule this year. The Bills have 6 wins against teams with an 8-38 record. It would be a very bad sign if they had less than 6 wins. To their credit they haven't lost to a team they clearly should have beaten, so they are taking advantage of a dream schedule unlike any I can ever remember. Hopefully they can improve so that their playoff run won't end like 2017.
  2. That's the issue. With each game Allen (a) doesn't look like a complete bust, (b) doesn't look like the next top 5 QB, such as a Ben R,, and (c) seems more likely to fit within the Bortles, Mariota category of good enough to keep your team competitive but clearly lacking the attributes of a top level QB (e.g., accuracy at short, middle and long passes, high football IQ). If you can get your defense to a high level you can make to an AFC championship game, ala Jacksonville with Bortles, but it takes all the pieces falling into place just right.
  3. Have to disagree. The 5 wins are against teams that are a combined 7-30 at this point, and none of the wins were dominating. In fact, I'd argue the Bills' best game was the loss to the Patriots. Fortunately, their next four games are against bad to awful teams, but the last 5 will pose some problems. In any event, if the Bills are ahead of schedule, being a SB contender must be scheduled quite a ways in the future.
  4. I think you're right, which will be a huge disappointment, even in they edge into the playoffs. This year's easy schedule is one you pray for each year and it not often repeated. You have to take the fullest advantage of it. It's possible, however, that the Bills simply aren't ready with a QB who clearly needs a lot of work, a WR corp that is at best mediocre and another lousy OL. The defense is quite a bit ahead of the offense, but not good enough to compensate for the offense's ineptness.
  5. Odd how the wind doesn't seem to affect Wentz much.
  6. The only thing the Bills need is to get back to playing 0 and 1 win teams.
  7. No I’d prefer a quality team
  8. gee, maybe five wins against crap teams wasn’t the sign of a quality team.
  9. I don't know if anyone has brought this up yet, but I think the last time the Bills returned an onside kick for a TD was in December 1999 against the Cardinals (Henry Jones did the honors). I was at that game and amazingly enough the final score of that game was also 31-21.
  10. Maybe, maybe not, but it does appear that Pats' backups turn into pretty good QBs.
  11. Hard for me to agree since aside from the Pats the Bills have only played the dregs of the NFL. 5 wins, none of them convincing, against teams with a combined record of 5-27. Before today I had the Bills as locks to win 9 games and almost locks to win 10. Now, I don't think there is any game left that is a high probability of a win. I'd say they are about 70% to make the playoffs given the easy schedule they have, but not too confident they will make it past the wild card game. The Eagles game is huge. If they can win that I will kick the confidence meter up a few notches.
  12. What’s sad is I attended some of those Bill Miller games.
  13. LOL, despite the fans? I didn’t know the fans played offense or defense.
  14. ESPN has the Bills at a 61% win probability. Odd for the team trailing a team start of 4th quarter.
  15. Wow, that drive ate up 10 minutes. Thank God they didn’t score.
  16. I should have read the information card before the game. I’m not sure where the emergency exits are on the bandwagon.
  17. And less passing ability
