  1. Yeah he is more conservative than his mentor Johnson was in that regard. There isn’t anything wrong with that philosophy. In fact you are probably further ahead if you can bring pressure when you want/need to with a four man front. Unfortunately we can’t reliably do that (yet).
  2. He’s a very good change of pace back if you pair him with someone like D. Cook. But clearly he’s our #1 for now.
  3. True. The Bills are no longer a contender, but they are a dangerous team. Thanks to Josh. He is a big horse.
  4. Jackson looking good in coverage today.
  5. He reminds me of Teller when he came into the league.
  6. Teach him pass pro and he’s a pro bowler.
  7. Exactly right. He’s also getting skittish about being hammered constantly. I don’t blame him at all.
  8. Thats what scares me more than anything else.
  9. I still think he’s playing out of position.
  10. Josh would look pretty good in a Bucs jersey. Brady would suck behind our line.
  11. I’m ashamed to say I’ve had the same thought. Build a bully.
  12. Maybe just another good coordinator who can’t grow into the big job.
  13. Just like the bad old days when 12 was in NE.
  14. Great against the pass they tell you.
  15. Exotic blitzes were an indispensable part of Sean’s mentor Johnson’s defence. Sean not so much.
  16. He also needs vision, which neither of our backs have.
  17. Josh didn’t step into it (back foot throw) and he owns a cannon.
  18. You likely need to spend more than a third to get a franchise back. More like a second to stack the odds in your favour. But you can find good backs just about anywhere. Its clear the Bills don’t know how to evaluate them relative to the team’s requirements. Smart teams likely knew Moss and Singletary did not transition well to the pro game (certainly as a pair of third round picks) even though they were good in college. I’ve puzzled over whether the fault lies with scouting or the GM but in reality the buck properly stops with Beane.
  19. The fanboys keep saying his detractors don’t understand McD’s scheme (or even football for that matter). But McD had some great and impactful LBs in Carolina. Night and day difference. Overall Tremaine is a mediocre player given his positional responsibilities in this scheme.
  20. He needs revision surgery…on both hands.
  21. Agree. I consider him an elite athlete in his position. I also think he’s quite possibly the best route runner in the game.
