I will respectfully disagree about Abbey Road. And with the logic regarding last albums, I think we could rewrite history for a lot of great bands, including Rush, Led Zeppelin, the Who, the Stones and any other legendary band who outwore their welcome.

Even after Abbey Road was released, there was still work being done on Let it Be. Let it Be is their last album.

The entire combine, to me, is a joke; the physical part of it, anyway. Teams should just conduct interviews. It's fine if it makes sense (to me it does) to get all the kids in the same place so multiple teams can meet with them. But there's no reason for them to jump, run, lift, etc. There's enough footage for teams to determine how good the kids are at what they do. I'd like to see more kids (all of them, eventually) opt out of the physical crap and do what's best for them and their future. Not what's best for the people making money for putting them through an unnecessary Westminster Human Show.

I have no problem with his (or anyone's) decision to not run. I do have a problem with him opening his mouth and letting stupid stuff come out ... but not a big problem. As we've all seen over the past couple years (thank you, AB), magic between the ears isn't a necessity for wide receivers.

The XFL TV deal with ESPN/ABC and FOX is pretty much equivalent to a one-year "show me," deal. If the XFL can sustain a full season, then they can (hopefully for them) strike a real/lucrative TV deal with a network or two. Personally, I've only watched one game and was not impressed. But I do hope the league succeeds and will likely give it another shot.

For the past decade, I've been a plastic grocery bag hoarder specifically for the purpose of picking up my dog's poop. She's gone, now, but for 10 years, we used at least two bags/day. I'm convinced that I was on a "watch list," at my local grocery store because they always insisted that they bag for me. I would usually bag my own and use way more bags than I needed. When I used the Walmart self-checkout, I would double bag every single bag. Sometimes triple bag. I've probably got 200+ of those *****. We still use them to scoop out the cats' litter boxes. I think the ban is silly, but I really don't care about it (especially since I no longer have a dog). That NPR link that WikiEII posted above shows how silly it is. I wonder if it would be okay for me to bring the plastic bags I've collected to the grocery store and ask them to use those.
