  1. Haven't read through 4 pages but my shoulder surgeon told me Nolan Ryan would throw a football to warm up to get that pure overhand motion. What's unnatural isn't the pure overhand motion but coming from the side like I did for 40 years of playing softball. Ryan didn't have the surgery even when it was recommended by Dr. Jobe.
  2. re zinc - while it does have some absorption in to the cells on its own, best to take it with quercetin...zinc is the nail, quercetin the hammer if you will re D3 - another good one, my PSA has gone from over 15 to under 4 in the 6 years I've had prostate cancer. Only difference I can put my finger on is taking D3 daily. When first diagnosed the good folks at Roswell wanted me to participate in a vitamin D3 study that would be 9 months actual supplement, 9 months placebo, 3 months nothing in between. I declined the study but took the advice and so far everything has stayed in check without treatment (while not a vital organ, the prostate sure is a useful one and I'm going to keep it as long as possible.) Omega 3-6-9 (commonly found in fish oil, I take a supplement that is a blend of different plants and oils to avoid the dreaded fish burps) can help with cholesterol, especially improving the good.) re C - should probably take daily but do not, only when coming down with something.
  3. Rams traded up to the Bills spot at 8 to get Austin, Bills got EJ, think it was at 15 or 16, then took Kiko with the Rams second round pick and Woods with their own
  4. I like this...Rational and sound planning sounds a lot better than only so much even I could piss away so figured putting it in the retirement plan was as good a place as any for what was left over🙂
  5. It was on tnt. Not sure there will be a replay, better off watching the YouTube highlight replay
  6. Not disputing the post, actually agree with it. Just wondering why fixed incomes are always associated only with retired folks. When working I didn't get to tell the boss that Christmas was right around the corner, need to get an extra couple thousand this month. I can actually withdraw from my rainy day fund without penalty (aka roth & to an extent traditional ira) when a few extra bucks are needed now.
  7. Apparently I'm the only one that expected this to be a "would ya" thread
  8. My brother owns a Bills bar one block away from the casino, The Craft kitchen and bar. Good place to start your weekend on Saturday nite, best pizza in Niagara Falls (I might be a bit biased in that assessment. But he is very proud of it.) Exit the casino via the third street exit. He'll probably invite you to his tailgate on Monday, he has a small lot directly across the street from the Hammer lot (house used to belong to Hammer's mother.)
  9. So don't keep us guessing, give us a review of the food
  10. This will take care of itself in 4 years, no need to take it down, just don't put it up in the new stadium.
  11. Maybe you're thinking of Bucky Brooks? Don't think Friggin' Lonnie ever played to defense, ended his career in KC as a tight end.
  12. Super Soakers hadn't been invented in my day, we did water balloon wars!
  13. The Rochester Knighthawks won a few NLL championships but there was a 3 year run from 2012 thru 2014 that were the most exciting. Especially in 2012 when they were 7-9 but do to opponent scheduling conflicts were able to host all the games. I watched all from the seneca niagara suite, had a blast. Trailed 5-0 in the championship game, the feeling was similar to the Houston comeback game. Lacrosse may not be huge in this country but it was an international title. Oh, I'm a huge Duke fan since my big brother went there in the late 60's/earl 70's.
  14. I'm only going to comment on games I attended since it just adds something being there. This is number 3 on the list. Was in the tunnel waiting to make a B-line to the car when the block and ensuing TD sent me back to the stands. Agree with your assessment that this was the play that sparked the 90's championship run. #5 was the Carolina game when EJ threw a TD pass to Stevie with maybe 7 seconds left. Thought a new era had begun with EJ at the helm. Turns out it was his shinning moment. Everyone gets one. #4 51-3 #3 - quoted game #2 - The win over New England, 2011? #1 - I once heard a personality who played a lot of golf being asked about the best course he ever played. He said you have to take Augusta out of the conversation because nothing else compares to it. In that same vein, as others have mentioned, The Comeback. 2 losses that were great were the Kofler comeback vs the Raiders in the early 80's, and the Monday nite game vs the Cowboys, maybe 2007
  15. Every time one of my buddies orders a beer that has the name of or is best served with fruit I ask them a line the waitress asks Ralph Macchio (Maz) in a restaurant scene from beer league when he orders egg white omelet, dry wheat toast, & grapefruit juice...you want a side of **** with that? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7a7a2N_cv5U
  16. No need to stop at this guy and the last guy, maybe the guy before that should have hung up the phone when the 80's called asking for their foreign policy back.
  17. The 13-16 seeds are dominated by small conference tournament champions that get automatic bids. Without the first 4 game, 2 of the 11/12 seeds would not make the tournament and the 13-16 seeds would remain the same (none of those teams would be bumped in favor of the team that didn't make the first 4 game.) The 11-12 play-in games are typically teams that were either finish in the middle of a major conference or a small conference team that won their regular season but lost in conference tournament. Interestingly, since moving to 68 teams in 2011 there has only been one season where the winner of one of the 11/12 first 4 games didn't win at least one game. 5 times that team has gone on to the sweet 16 and twice to the final 4.
  18. When I was 14 spending summers on my Uncle's farm I would often be the DD after an evening with his buddies. Always traveled back roads, not highways. Of course by the time I was 16 he'd quit drinking and I'd started so roles were reversed!
  19. Don't think anyone should blast or curse you. Nothing close to the research you've done but I've seen a documentary or two on his regrets for his crimes and tend to agree with your assessment.
  20. Ryan Leaf reminds me of Art Schlichter. Hope things turn out better for both of you. If Maurice Clarett turned things around there's hope for everyone.
  21. Thinking the same thing but this is an off Bills Topic page during the off season so I guess anything goes. That being said, guessing the OP isn't a huge Bobby Knight fan either...
  22. Back in the 60's and 70's the Rochester area was considered Upstate. There was even an insert magazine to our Sunday paper titled UPSTATE. Not sure exactly when the Rochester region became associated with Western NY or the Finger Lakes but it wasn't always that way.
  23. I play with this guy...being president of a private club that plays at a public course it was my responsibility to talk with him about it at the end of last season. We'll see soon enough if it did any good.
