  1. Well you should thank your lucky stars for them or you wouldn't have any pro sports teams in Buffalo. They are doing the best they can. Both franchises were a complete mess. Sabres look like they are going to be very competitive this year and I think you're jumping the gun on the Bills. I think they'll need at least two more years before they are an elite team, but I do believe that management is taking the right approach. You just need to have a little patience. McDermott and Beane have been on the job less than two full seasons.
  2. That's what I love about this site. It's the unbridled optimism.
  3. Guess it's a good thing they don't work for you. Knee jerk reactions by an owner lead to nothing but chaos within an organization. These two have been on the job less than two seasons and I can see their intent. The offense still needs to be fixed, but the D is just fine. I completely disagree with your premise that this was a top notch offense at any point in time over the past 15 or so years. They haven't had a decent QB since Kelly and the O-Line has been putrid for most of that time. You can't fix all of the holes that this team had in this amount of time. The team will be fine, you just need to have some patience. I know that's in short supply around these parts, but I would give them two more years before even considering firing either McDermott or Beane.
  4. He landed directly on his head. Try banging your head against concrete and see how it feels. That turf is no joke. It's hard as a rock.
  5. He had his shot. I can't think of a single time he led this team to a come from behind victory or a win at the end of a game or in OT. He already lost his starting gig in Cleveland after two games. Please spare me.
  6. When did Tyrod ever lead the Bills to a win at the end of a game or in OT? I can't think of a single time. Most times that's when he was at his worst.
  7. I always wanted him on the Bills. Not really sure anymore. He doesn't seem to be learning from his mistakes.
  8. My pleasure. I wear it as a badge of honor. Thermal was a great player, but ain't the sharpest tool in the shed.
  9. Thurmal has me blocked on twitter, lol. He didn't like that I disagreed with him on the protest thing.
  10. Any updates on Allen's elbow. That didn't look good.
  11. If you don't have the stomach to watch a rookie QB learn and grow, then you probably shouldn't be watching. All rookies struggle and make mistakes. Allen will be a very good QB in this league for a very long time. This team ain't gonna win the SB this year anyway, so let's just have a little patience with him and see what he can become.
  12. Allen needs to play if he's able. Sitting him serves no purpose. He'll learn from game experience, not sitting on the bench. He'll get better. The fact is, the entire offense has been bad, not just Allen. He needs some support from the O-Line and receivers. Both have been abysmal. Benjamin is an absolute joke. Will be glad to see him go because he just doesn't seem to give a ****. I say if Allen is healthy enough, he continues to start.
  13. I have seen this movie before. Fall behind early on the road. This will not end well.
  14. We made the playoffs in his first year. We've played one game this season. Peterman was the choice because he played well in the preseason. They wanted to give Allen a bit more time to develop. It didn't work out. Peterman is one of those guys that looks good in exhibition games and in practce, but once it's game on for real, he panics. None of these things indicates that McDermott or anyone else on the coaching staff is deficient. It's Peterman who is deficient and I think they know that now. Allen was always going to be the starter. It was just a matter of time. You don't trade up to number 7 to get a guy and then sit him on the bench. Peterman just couldn't hold down the fort until they were ready to start Allen. Simple as that.
  15. Turn off ESPN. That solves the problem. Haven't watched it in years.
  16. The plan was to ease Allen into the starting role. They were hoping Peterman could be a placeholder until later on this season, but Allen was ALWAYS going to be the starter. You don't trade up to number 7 to get a guy and then sit him. Peterman looked good in training camp and in pre-season, but once again, failed miserably when it counted. Some guys are just good practice players, but can't handle the pressure when it's game on for real. Peterman appears to be one of those. At this point they seem to realize that Peterman is not capable of holding down the fort. It's really that simple IMO. Doesn't indicate any flaws with the coaching staff. The flaw is with Peterman.
  17. In his defense, that pocket collapsed pretty damned quick.
  18. They got McCarron as insurance. No guarantee they were going to get their guy in the draft. My guess is that if he didn't get hurt, he would have started yesterday. He got hurt, fell behind and they decided to cut bait and get something for him. I think the plan after that was to start Peterman and if he struggled, bring in Allen, just as they did yesterday. I just don't think they believed Peterman would struggle as badly as he did yesterday and they were hoping to get a couple of games out of him before bringing in Allen. I believe Allen is the starter moving forward now. Just my two cents worth.
  19. Hate to say it, but I kind of expected this. O-Line is really bad and Peterman is just Peterman. Could be a long season.
  20. This is pretty pathetic. The whole team is playing like crap. I had my doubts about Peterman and they have been confirmed. He's certainly not capable of leading this team anywhere except last place.
  21. I had that poster on my wall. My sister went to Buff State and brought it home to me in Hornell that first year. Been a fan ever since.
