If Bosa, Williams, Allen, and Oliver are off the board, I happy with drafting Metcalf at 9. The dream scenario would be getting one of the top 4 Dlinemen and moving into the mid to high 20s and drafting Metcalf.
When you evaluate our upcoming schedule what stands out is how many premier RB's we play against. We need to focus on improving our run defense to have a successful season. From my point of view, the best case draft scenario would be Ed Oliver in the first and Dexter Lawerence in the second.
How the Body of Work was evaluated by so-called experts. Rosen was an elite prospect in a field of elite QB prospect. This year's class doesn't have that evaluation.
The balance of the off-season, that includes the draft, has to focus on the Bills being able to stop the run. We play against the majority of the premier RB's this year. Stopping the run will go a long way to making 2019 successful.
If Rosen was in this years draft I would not be surprised that the majority of teams would have him the highest rated QB in the draft. That being said, I believe one of them would make a very good trade offer for him.
If Bosa, Williams, Allen,Oliver, and Wilkins are taken, I would like the Bills to draft Metcalf. What would be perfect is trading down and drafting Metcalf.
With a 6 and 10 team, I imagine there is a lot of room for improvement at every position. As the coach often says, every position is up for grabs. So bringing in 10 rookies to compete for a roster spot seems to be the least that can be done to improve the team.
Why don't you ask all the Buffalonians who got bent out of shape when some agent said Buffalo was the least desirable place to play what it matters what anyone outside of Buffalo thinks.
