He's an average player who wants to get paid and has struggled at times in Fangio's and Weaver's defenses. I have a hard time believing he'd be a 'difference maker' and would be one of the most hated players here given what he'll cost.

You know that data is available, right? There were only 10 players on the d line with over 80% of the snaps. There were 40 defensive lineman with 70% and one of those was Greg Rousseau at 71%. So I think your perception may not be reality. However, I always love to be proven wrong so I'm looking forward to the list of teams with their top 4 d lineman playing over 80% of the snaps.

It's amazing how good pass rushers who can also competently play the run make everyone else on the defense look better.

The NFL certainly does a lot of market research. I'm afraid that the results are just probably things we don't like that the 'poor officiating' isn't costing them money or causing fans to stop watching.

They would have been much, much better off trying the draft again. I'd argue they took themselves off the right path by drafting Zach Wilson. He was so, so bad and affected the culture in that building because they kept starting because they had no other valid options which was a huge mistake which forced them into needing a QB in a year that the vet options sucked and they figured a draft pick would be a year or two so.. getting bent over by Green Bay with glee was the direction they chose. The way they handled that situation was insane too.. they started hiring Aaron's friends before they completed the trade which let Green Bay know that they could just wait and the Jets were always going to make that trade.
