Preseason week 3: Bills at Panthers 8/26 7pm (local or NFL+)
Metal Man replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
IIRC after pulling most of the starters in the 4th he did put all of his defensive starters back into the game at the end of the game when the Bills reached the redzone to preserve the shut out. 🤬 -
NFL+ Streaming Service Launches today
Metal Man replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am a cord cutter and use a digital antenna. They are cheap and the picture quality is usually great. The local market inclusion in the old app still had value for me though. If the game opposite the bills was a good one I would use that on my tablet to monitor it. Also if the Bills weren't playing it was nice to be able to set up my tablet to keep track of the game while doing something else, like gaming. If they allowed it to be installed on a roku or something along those lines it would have value for someone without cable for the national games at least and I'd consider it. Definitely not worth paying for though for me now though. -

The NFL app on your phone or tablet used to give you your local market games as well as nationally televised games for free. Sounds to me like they have decided to start charging for something that was free for years. -
This is nothing new from him. Love Pink Floyd, but Waters has always come off as a narcissistic douche. I learned a long time ago that I don't have to like the person to like the music. We could probably find dozens of examples where this is true for most of us music fans on the board.

Thanks for the link. I will definitely check it out. I caught Omega / Jericho from one of the Wrestle Kingdoms on replay on I think Spike TV or a channel like that. I stopped on it while going through the guide just from knowing Jericho and that was my first exposure to that style. I liked it enough to stop on Spike another time when they were replaying Omega / Okada from another Wrestle Kingdom which was also an excellent match and put me on the Kenny Omega bandwagon. It definitely makes a lot of sense that those New Japan days were the early spawning grounds for AEW. Tony Kahn needs to figure out a way to translate his good booking and management of AEW into the Jags somehow and right that train wreck of a football franchise. : )

I did watch Forbidden Door. I don't watch New Japan so I wasn't sure how much I would enjoy it without much of the AEW storylines being involved but there definitely was a lot of excellent performances during it. For me the highlight was the Will Ospreay v Orange Cassidy match. I heard a lot of hype around Ospreay leading up to the PPV, and his couple appearances on Dynamite delivered, but that match took it to the next level for me. Even knowing it was highly unlikely they would let Orange win that New Japan belt there were a couple times during that match where I thought for a second it might actually happen. Excellent performances from both of them. Agree about the crowd too. An awesome crowd can really make a difference in the show. Chicago is usually pretty solid in that regard

I have been on the AEW train since the fist Double or Nothing in 2019 and like the OP it has reignited an old love for wrestling. I fell off of WWE a while back but still loosely kind of kept up with it. I was a big fan in the 80s and late 90s-early 2000s but like others have said though it eventually became unwatchable. Me and some of my wrestling buddies had heard the buzz about the new league starting up and were hopeful enough to give AEW a try on their first PPV a few years ago and it sold us all immediately. Since then I have watched all their PPVs and Dynamite each week. Actually went to Vegas last month over Memorial Day weekend for Double or Nothing 22. So far Tony Kahn has really nailed it as far as the product goes IMHO.

I've used this one a few times for games in Buffalo and away. No buyer fees. https://www.tickpick.com/

Oh man, that is going to make for a rough Thanksgiving night at my house. We always host my wife's sister and her family who all live in Columbia MD and are all big Ravens fans.

I don't think it was as much Dallas specifically taking Elam as it was who might be on the phone with Dallas and/or Baltimore trying to trade up as well.

Clone Single Player 11xs to Make Best Team

Give me Coy Wire 22 times for O and D. Dude is a freak athlete. He can standing jump out of a swimming pool!!! 😁🤪 -
Something like this would be awesome if it was simple and just gave you access to all the games. However after reading that article it seems unlikely as the rights to broadcasts are spread out all over the place. One price for one service that carried 100% of the game regardless of your market is the dream for me but for some reason the NFL has made that impossible.

Just curious, why do you have Jimmy/Buddy as obviously? I did see on the news the other day that Buddy wanted to test the NBA waters, (which kind of seems laughable to me), but they both have eligibility left so to me it didn't seem so obvious for them to move on.

Finally got around to watching the first season of Foundation. It starts out as a pretty good sci-fi show. Very heady high concept stuff with a focus on character development and world building. Eventually it kind of struggles with staying in that lane and tries to into more main stream storytelling which I assume is to attempt to appeal to a broader audience. Overall I mostly enjoyed it though and it was renewed for a second season. I have no experience with the source material so I have no idea how faithful it is but based on what I've heard about the books I am going to guess it diverges quite a bit. -
Dan Snyder will not survive the 2022 season

Isn't this basically the same reason the league forced Jerry Richardson to sell the Panthers? -
That is the ultimate boom or bust scenario. A championship is a championship no matter what but beating Brady*** for one would make it a little sweeter. On the flip side it would be one more dagger that SOB put through the Buffalo fanbase heart.

At work this week everyone has been passing around their order of who they'd like to see win the Superbowl from most to least so I thought it might be interesting to see what the consensus is for Bills fans. Well I guess 2-14 as I assume everyone will have the Bills at 1. For me: Bills Raiders Titans Bengals 49ers Eagles Rams Packers Steelers Cards Chiefs Bucs Cowgirls Cheaters Titans are probably a little high for a lot of people here because Vrabel is such a $*&#$!!! But when I was in Nashville a couple years ago for the Bills game the Titans fans were pretty cool so I wouldn't mind one for them if Buffalo doesn't make it.

Bills Play Saturday Night at 8:15pm on CBS

There used to be an ESPN Zone bar/restaurant in the Boardwalk resort area which is walkable from Hollywood Studios. Not sure if it is still open though as I know they did close a bunch of those down a while back. -
That Patriots*** hat is likely a deal breaker for the vast majority of this site.

That is what a lot of people seem to think about it. Haven't had a chance to watch it yet but I am hoping at the very least that it is a decent sci-fi show even if not completely true to the source material. -

That is a pretty tough question as these kinds of things tend to shift a lot. Forbidden Planet is a great choice. It is an amazing story with pretty decent effects considering it was made in the 50s. 2001 is also great as is most of Kubrick's stuff. You are right in that so much sci-fi misses the mark but I tend to consume most of it regardless. As for my list I'm sure I will be forgetting some stuff but off the top of my head: Aliens - The original is awesome too but the sequel just seemed to really get the suspense/action mix and I recall really being scared for those characters the first time I saw it. Gattaca - Probably not a very well known movie but I thought they really nailed the concepts and the performances are great. The Matrix - This one probably has some recency bias as I just watched it again last week for the first time in a long time but the script and movie really is a masterpiece. I know it has reached the status of being a cliche of sorts since so many films have been derivative of it over the years and it is parodied so much. However forgetting all of that and getting right back to the core of that story, and the ideas it puts forth, you can see how monumental it was at the time. Like I said I'm sure I am missing a lot but lists like this tend to change a lot depending on the day of the week. -

Anyone check out Foundation on Apple+? I have read a lot of Asimov short story collections but never any of the source material for this show. I'm a big fan of sci-fi so this is on my radar but still not sure if I should give it the time as reviews seem to be a little mixed on it. I'm curious if anyone has any insight to it on here. -
A Few Thoughts about the Colts game, in no particular order
Metal Man replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
To me this is the play that really sealed the game as a loss. Bills D was getting dominated on the ground and the Colts chewed up tons of clock but the O had been playing pretty well up to that point outside of the two bad penalties that killed the first drive so there was still the feeling that the Bills could win it in a shoot out. After that fumble/score though it was pretty evident that the wind was out of everyone's sails and we were in for a long second half as fans.
