  1. I can second Kix on Main for good food. Also Simply Crepes, we have never done a trip to Canandaigua without a meal there. I have eaten at Nolans a couple of times as well and both were excellent meals. Young Lion is a good brewery and Twisted Rail Brewing is another decent one right down the street right on the North shore of the lake as well. Up into the village/main st area are a couple other breweries we like to visit, Frequentem Brewing and Peacemaker. Peacemaker has a big outdoor seating area behind it and I have seen live music there before so it could be the one mentioned by the OP or if not an additional option.
  2. Canandaigua is one of my favorite quick getaways. Me and the wife do a couple of nights at the Lake House every summer but any other hotel within walking distance of the village would work as well. There are several good breweries you can walk to, plenty of good places to eat, and beautiful scenery. The pontoon rental mentioned above is a good idea too. We did that once and just driving up and down the lake looking at all the houses made for really nice relaxing day. Also, not sure if you are a dog person but Canandaigua is also one of the most pet friendly towns I have ever been to.
  3. Sounds like one of their main plans to address the parking loss from construction is to completely remove RV/Camper parking until 2026. That is a bummer for all the fans who have made that a part of their game day rituals, though I personally don't know anyone who does that.
  4. Along the same lines of this thought my hope is he takes a page out of Jeter's book. Have some flings in the off season but when the season starts just hyper focus on getting the job done. Can't argue with the results Jeter got and just like Jeter I have no doubt Josh can still land a top flight wife to settle down with after retirement and a handful of rings.
  5. Watched both in the last couple of years and thought they both held up relatively well. Warriors always was a little bit on the silly side with some of the weird themed gangs but I still enjoyed it. Escape From NY held up great IMHO, aside from effects being dated it still came off as a great movie. However there are some I used to love that aren't the best as an adult. Probably watched Purple Rain dozens of times as a teen and loved every view but after a watch last year... not so much. Still love the music but the acting/writing are kind of cringe worthy now.
  6. And IIRC that pretty much ended that California lot that had the little cut through and bridge across that creek as they wouldn't let people through that way anymore. That was a great tailgate spot being set back a bit in a small wooded area, but with having to walk down California and then back up to the stadium it wasn't worth using anymore.
  7. I tortured myself by reviewing it this morning. DJ did try the ice timeout on the final kick which was good on the one that didn't count, but it was good on the second try as well. Anyway, to get back on track for the topic... after bringing back those memories it would be nice to get a chance at them again on MNF.
  8. I remember Edwards threw a late INT that led to a score and then the Bills messed up on the onside kick recovery so maybe McKelvin was involved in that somehow. All I recall from that fumbled kickoff return was yelling Why the 'f are you bringing that out of the endzone?
  9. Wasn't the McKelvin fumble part of the Pats* MNF debacle?
  10. The opponents have been part of a predetermined formula for a long time now. Bills had KC at home in 2020 as part of the normal division rotation, 2 AFCW away and other 2 AFCW at home. 2021 and 2022 Buffalo played at whoever finished in the same position as them from the AFCW the year before which seeing both teams won their division in 2020 and 2021 ended up being at KC. That easily could have been one of the other AFCW teams if the Bills or KC finished in 2nd or worse. Bills were at Cincy last year as part of the divisional rotation and at Cincy again this year as part of playing at their counterpart of the AFCN. For 2024 the Bills are at the AFCN counterpart again so if both them and Cincy finish the same place in their divisions it will be at Cincy in 2024 and that can be the new one people complain about. Any opponent formula you come up with will always have the potential for these kinds of things.
  11. Maggie's Song - Chris Stapleton This one's a tear jerker for any dog lovers out there.
  12. Article didn't seem to say, but anyone else know if this will be the special edition version from the 90s hitting the theaters? I assume it probably will be as the originals seem to have been erased from existence. Though if somehow it was the original 1983 cut I would definitely go see it. I didn't hate the changes to Empire but the other two were tough to stomach. That new CGI song and dance number in Jabba's palace and the new ending instead of the Ewok song.... 🤢🤮🤬
  13. A lot of what makes Brady a strong argument for GOAT is his longevity. I doubt he lasts nearly as long taking the hits QBs took in the 80s/90s. Brady benefitted from the "Brady rule" greatly.
  14. Sat next to a couple students from UCONN who made the drive last year to see their team for the first two rounds of the tournament in Buffalo. They seemed like pretty decent down to earth people. They took getting bounced in the first round pretty well and to my surprise still showed up for the second round games. Not a big fan of UCONN but I was happy for those guys at least to be able to experience a championship for their school while actually attending it.
  15. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.
  16. Verizon wireless is offering Disney+/Hulu with ads/ESPN+ with some of their unlimited data packages FYI if that is your carrier. My wife switched to one a few months ago, her bill went up around 5$ but still seemed worth it to get those streaming packages included.
  17. I didn't know that. My initial thought would be that he doesn't seem the type to want the coach K send off treatment at every stop but when it comes right down to him making the final call who knows.
  18. Do you guys think Jim is the kind of guy who wants a farewell tour? The answer to that question will tell us if he announces immediate retirement after the season or announces he will have one last season.
  19. This one looks good. Thanks, I will keep an eye out for it.
  20. That's true, it definitely takes a little longer especially with having to dice up veggies and what not. We have been able to speed that up a bit though after time just from a lot of practice with the basic steps and figuring out which things could be multi-tasked.
  21. Wife and I have been using this on and off for the last year. https://www.hellofresh.com/ Pick out some meals and they ship all the ingredients and recipes to you. We have had a couple of duds but the vast majority of them have been delicious and relatively easy to put together.
  22. I will be interested to see how this works out for you. I contacted the Bills for information about club seats early last summer. I was expecting to just put my name on a waiting list for maybe 23 or 24. However he told me that you can't just buy into the club section and that the only way I could get in there was to buy a season ticket in whatever was available in the regular sections for a season and then put in for an upgrade the following spring when maybe some would be available. This path seemed extremely unlikely to work as seniority would be nothing compared to everyone else looking to upgrade. Anyway it made absolutely no sense to me but after some questions and a few back and forth emails he spelled it out exactly the way I described it pretty clearly.
