I have no clue....it's a great question. I think Castro will be on the way out if the Line does not improve. With all the holes this roster had, Beane upgraded in many areas, including the O-line....at least on paper. Next year when the dead cap money is gone I expect we will be signing several FA OL.
-
What FA O-line players should we pursue? I'm thinking Luke Joeckel--can play G or T, might be hungry to prove he can play
-
yeah the pass rush is either in next years draft, and/or in a Mack trade. In fact, next years draft is so deep at D, that trading a 1st rounder next year (and likely the next) could get you Mack and another impactful DL.

the O-line was dominated in 2 straight pre-season games, and was an issue last year even with Wood and Incognito. I agree, we will be scanning and grabbing other teams cuts. Hopefully some teams are "stacked" at O-line and we can find a starter, or decent backup. Although a "decent backup" may be starter material on this line.

Teddy Bridgewater's Miraculous Comeback
RyanC883 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I gotcha. I really hope the Jags don't get him. I hear Bortles has looked good in camp, so hopefully he stays away from that team. They are loaded at WR and a QB away from the super bowl, IMO. -
Joe B: 53 Man Roster Projection - Final
RyanC883 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
wow. the LB's and DE's are awful overall. I doubt this is what we end up with. I'm thinking some team cuts an LB who has a significant role on this team. -

Hopefully plays for the Saints or Steelers when their QB's retire. Keep him away from AFC. -
What is Cris Carter Talking about
RyanC883 replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Carter is the ONLY PERSON who I think has made this "observation". With all the reasons put forth to not draft Allen (played against weak competition, footwork, intermediate throws, accuracy) you'd think someone would have mentioned this before now. Perhaps he is confusing Allen with Darnold? -
Former Seahawks Punter Jon Ryan to visit Bills on Tuesday
RyanC883 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
nope. didn't we have two kickers a few years ago. Although that was Rex Ryan, I could see McD or someone thinking that with a young offense we need to pin the other teams deep back. I wouldn't do it. I think Ryan can handle that by himself. the same argument for place kickers works for punters. (if your into 2 kickers). One kicks the long-ball, the other is the short punt specialist. -

keeping 2 punters perhaps? Good field position play. Have Ryan kick the long balls, and Schmidt kick when we need to pin someone inside the 20. Kind of insane to take 2 roster spots on punters, but if we are thinking we need field-position, this is an interesting route. -
Anyone (non-student) paying a lower rate for NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV than 58.99/month. I think I've been paying that the past 2 years (can't get DirectTV at my address). If so, would love to know your secret.

Cover 1: Bills' Run Defense Continues to Struggle
RyanC883 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it's just a lack of talent at DL, esp. in terms of run stopping. It seems the D is made to have the line, well, hold the line. The secondary is vastly improved, and the LB's do a good job in the passing game, hopefully the LB's (who lack depth) can get some help form the DL this year. -
the answer is not "take him out" but play more physical on him and make sure that if he attempts a dirty hit someone goes after him after the play to draw attention to it. If the league won't protect players, players need to draw attention to ti.
-
he won't get away with this if he tries it on someone on the Steelers or Ravens. Hopefully someone on the Bills D jacks him up at the line of scrimmage next time we play. Put a big nasty LB on him and just pound him every play.

When did Jags fans become so anti-Bills?
RyanC883 replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hate Marrone and if the Jags fans have something against Buffalo, whatever. We will beat them this year. Obviously . -
Proof Josh Allen Is Ready [Perhaps Not 100% Scientific]
RyanC883 replied to Paulus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was the one QB of the big 4 I did not want before the draft. That's why I'm not the GM. I love that Allen is confident but not arrogant. It's a fine line that he walks very well. -
Was Game 2 part of the process for Allen?
RyanC883 replied to TPS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think this was part of the game plan for Allen. We all know he has the deep pass, he needs to work on the intermediate passes. That's what game 2 was all about. Looks like he is a quick learner--also important for a starting QB. I'm envisioning Allen being a better version of Big Ben. But as a Bills fan I can't let myself get excited yet. -
Josh Allen- One thing we can all agree on?
RyanC883 replied to GoodHands15's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd agree on that. I'd still start NP for the opener. NP has had 2 good preseason games, one with the starters and one with the 3rd team. JA has had a good and then a great game. At least we are having a QB "debate" where 2-3 QB's are able to string together long drives, something that was missing last year. -
Yes, it's over. Lots of team need someone to win/lose the last week of the season. I think you'd feel different if the Bengals won early in the day, and then we won to get in.

Patriots rookie OL Isaiah Wynn suffers torn Achilles
RyanC883 replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
need to jam the WR's. It's all timing. If he can't get the ball out quickly, he can look pedestrian (or simply above-average). -
