I really hope he does. He has the physical traits to be one. As far as elite, I don't think even with 10 sacks he'd be "elite" this year. An "elite" rusher is a guy commanding double teams for himself. Very good pass rusher would be nice to see. I can see 10 sacks for him.

Neither do I. But if he shows no improvement in the preseason, he could be a surprise cut based on his lackluster performances his first two years if there is a FA the Bills like more. His rookie year he had the "COVID lack of training camp" excuse. No excuse for last year. I hope he turns it around.

this is why "rankings" mean nothing. Look at the QBs that gave us that ranking last year. I think our "ranking" will be lower, but we will have a better D. LA had a better D and won the Super Bowl, but was "ranked" lower. That is hopefully us this year. (although I'd love to be a truly ranked 1 D against good competition)

I'd love Hughes back as well. He would be better on paper than Lawson or Basham at reserve DE, but not for what we paid him last year. AJ perhaps getting cut if he has a bad preseason? Likely not given our lack of depth and his scheme familiarity, but it's put up time for him.

lots of ??? on both O and DL. Not great, but we can't plug every hole. Getting Von Miller can cover up a lot of issues on the DL, like Josh does for the OL. We need better interior OL, and I think that will be the target next draft. We fixed what we could, but losing is never good. We want to win every year. The 13 seconds are not some sort of motivational tool. We should have won last year, and we should win this year. We have top talent. fair point that we lost because of our D giving everything up, but many playoff games come down to the wire. We didn't close. We did lose because of those 13 seconds and how we played the rest of the game. Two independent reasons of why we lost.

Elam with a caveat. If we don't play more press this year, I'll hate the pick because there was then no reason to trade up for him given the other CBs left on the board. Gordon is also good in press, but Elam is more physical/better. 1. Those were the two I was between. Shakir is a better value pick, but I think Elam, if properly used, can be a stud. 2. It's not a regular punter, the dude kicks it 80+ yards. Our fans are the best, we love great players at all positions equally!

Ideally the DT gets him. Edmunds gets lost so much that I could see the OP’s position being a backup plan or the plan until Edmunds is replaced. He’s just not a difference maker and between him and Knox next year, I’m keeping Knox.

I think the plan at TE is the Texas A&M UDFA guy with the 1 RAC score. If he actually plays well, he will be here next year. If not, we have OJ and Knox for now, and can draft OJ replacement and likely resign Knox. The Edmunds plan confuses me. The lack of IOL is concerning.

Agreed. I like that he is too grabby. Rather dial a player back than the other way around.
