  1. Escher would approve. I have hazy memories of psychology classes from the 1970s. I admit I looked up the reference, which, it appears, wasn't accurate. I do kinda remember something about a subway. One should always have hands-on references. In graduate school, I had to do a 100 entry bibliography. I had to physically touch each reference. I guess I've become lazy in my old age.
  2. I wasn't really going for the race part. It's more a reaction to the idea that people rely a lot on preset ideas about things. This board seems to be anti Spencer Brown, so people see what they expect to see.
  3. In an old psychological study on race, two pictures were shown: one had two white guys fighting while one of them had a knife, the other picture had a white guy and black guy fighting with the white guy holding the knife. The observers were asked later, who had the knife? They got the first one right, but the second image was misremembered with the black guy holding the knife.
  4. I'm starting to get worried about Spencer Brown's back problems. It reminds me of Terrell Troup, if I remember his name right. He was a second round pick at DT that never panned out because of back issues.
  5. I was in an arm cast for six weeks and my arm was noticeably smaller, so much so that the doctor had me look away as he was taking the cast off. Some people pass out from the sight.
  6. For me, it wasn't that he had a different take on Covid. It's that he talked about which caused division, and that it was detrimental to the team. I know players sometimes have different opinions about injuries and treatment or playing through them, which he did. He just should have shut up.
  7. He is on the downside of his career. We play the Giants once. I am a fan of what he did here on the field, not so much how he handled off-field things. I generally don't like to hold on to things, so as far as I'm concerned, he can have a nice life. Bye.
  8. Poyer and Milano are both popular players with the fan base here. I really like them, too. Apparently, Hyde has abilities that are less visual, less apparent to the unwashed masses. I'm glad to see him get the attention. I like his play, too.
  9. I'm okay with a new thread for this post. The idea would get buried in other threads, and the viewpoint is needed. The hysteria is ridiculous. I don't know if this is off-season crap or what.
  10. He is my least favorite Bills coach. Even below Bullough.
  11. This is where I am, too. I can’t make other people’s life decisions, but he should retire. I think he has been a very good center for us, a bit of stability for Josh. But I can see moving on.
  12. I’d like to see an OT and an ILB tonight.
  13. This thread is depressing. I know I don’t have to read it (and don’t), but I have to see it on the list.
  14. I see Beane moving up, but in the second for Campbell. WR at 27 in Round 1, then move up maybe ten spots in round 2.
  15. They need at least one stout DT. Call him whatever, but they need to get stronger up the middle. That includes MLB. I liked Edmunds side-to-side, but he wasn’t great at hitting gaps hard. Actually having 3 LBs would help cover the sides without Edmunds allowing a MLB to fill holes with a big man holding ground and Oliver helping do that, too.
  16. This would work out about as well as Kelvin Benjamin did.
  17. I agree with this 100%. It would open a hole, yet close a hole. But they need help up the middle, and Oliver isn’t getting it done, either in run defense or penetration. Is DT a better position to be drafting than WR, OL, or LB, which are positions of need that I would like to see in a trade?
  18. The Bills have three large holes and a couple small ones. The big three, if not addressed during FA, are at WR, LB and OL (still), in no particular order. I think skill positions are important enough to require higher draft picks, whereas, OL could wait a round or two. But all three are top needs to be rounds 1-3. TE, S and RB can fill out the draft.
  19. I wonder if having Leslie Frazier leaving (for a while) coupled with Edmunds leaving means we might be on the edge of a new style of defense.
  20. I don’t know which lineman has the best grades, but this board would find a reason to hate on him.
  21. This may be an attempt to prevent people from buying just to resell.
  22. There has to be 40 people, at least, that would be in contention for our DC if Frazier is out. Ryan is not on that list. Why Ryan, of all people? Let him go!
  23. Brady and Rodgers are like milk that is past its use by date. Yeah, you can drink it, but any day it’s gonna go sour.
