  1. can Davis lend some of that to Maybin? But I like the idea of getting best players out there, and if that means shifting Moats to get him more involved, go for it.
  2. Yeap! Williams fits better there, and Troupe and Jasper have real NT bodies. And watch Carrington, I think he'll have a breakout year. Potential for an outstanding D-line rotation.
  3. One big issue this thread raises, is the Bills have to stay away from injuries. Which of course, is probably impossible to do. Nonetheless, the less injuries, especially to key players, the more likely a team is to be consistent, and to win. Keep your eye in the injury list, that will be the first big indicator of the level of success for this season.
  4. It is good news, certainly better than the alternative . . . and if it was the alternative, this board would be blowing up with comments about how bad a signing it was. Anyhow, let's hope it continue for a long time.
  5. Like I said, we blew it back then. McKinney has been a very productive OT for 8 years. Does that mean we should look at him now? In my opinion, yes! At lease do your due diligence. My feeling is the Miami guy (Carey?) would be a better pick-up, but a team in need of OT help should at least make some phone calls, and buy him a ticket for an interview if there's any hope for him. There is little risk in asking the right questions.
  6. I remember the draft, it was between him and Mike Williams. And of course, we chose the wrong guy again.
  7. "my preferred Defense" after studying all the complexities and nuances of the 3-4 vs. 4-3, and some hybrids of both, "my preferred Defense" is the one that doesn't allow the other team to score more points than our team does. I hope we have the right players for that system.
  8. ugh, and how many times did we pass on Brady? I so wanted him.
  9. I doubt any were drafted or signed because of their faith, but as a coach I can tell you, if all other things are equal, you go with the person of higher character, you can trust them, and they will always work hard. I know that's not politically correct, but whom would you rather invest millions of dollars in? or a college scholarship in? the person who is respectful, humble, considerate, self-controlled, and grounded, etc., or anything the opposite of those qualities? And yes, although not always the case, such trustworthy people usually have a well developed and meaninful personal faith. Or maybe a better way to say it, people with a genuine personal faith are usually pretty trustworthy individuals.
  10. agree, Moats seems far better suited for the outside
  11. "so many born again Christians" . . . really? was that necessary? and what does it have to do with anything?
  12. Is Jaron in their front office now?
  13. I would guess it's based on a formula of how much money the team brings to the area (tickets, food, hotel rooms, etc.) divided by the population of the city. But I can't see how San Diego would be that high. Interesting, because Buffalo has a bigger stadium than both.
  14. Not getting rid of Hang-man. He has great value as a capable back up at all three interior positions. Plus, his superior intelligence is a huge asset. He's not going anywhere. Moreover, what if the grand Urbrik experiment doesn't work out?
  15. I think I'm going to start the Arron Maybin fan club . . . mark this thread, this is his breakout year!
  16. "To make room for Asomugha and other free agents, the Jets re-worked the contracts of running back LaDainian Tomlinson, linebackers Calvin Pace and Bart Scott and guard Brandon Moore." That is just too funny!!!! Couldn't happen to a better organization.
  17. Is this a TBD record, 29 pages? Anyhow, let's hope they had a plan "B" and we see it today. Time to move on boyz
  18. Happiest man in the world today, well, at least in BIlls Nation: Marcus Easley http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/article504918.ece I'm looking forward to seeing him on the field, he looks like he's transformed his body into a TO type, hoping his game is a TO type. Anyhow, who are you most anxious to see as training camp opens (besides a new and as yet, unnamed, right tackle)? Easley gets my vote
  19. NAIA is about DIvision 2 level, mostly scholarship players . . . but with less restrictions of NCAA
  20. my sentiments exactly . . this is a good signing, especially sense we took him from the Jets
  21. Get Olsen for draft picks, but no need to trade Evans, he is still the best receiver the Bills have
