  1. yeah, it's a good move--get him on the field so he can make plays. in the words of Wade Phillips: "We have punt catchers, not punt returners."
  2. like crazy Eddie insane . . . darn fools, trying to score
  3. "Is it just me or does the playcalling seem misguided?" Its You
  4. Totally agree about Nelson, what's not to love about him Disagree very much about the Pears assessment, yes a bad penalty at the end and breakdowns; but remember, this is a team racking up sacks against everybody--not an easy assignment for any RT Related, over-all, even with the injuries, our line has become a place of strength on tis team--who would have ever thought that in July As for Gailey--there are so many variables that go into play calling and execution--bottom-line, it was a poorly thrown ball We are thin at WR, if it is going to be a while for Jones, it may be time to take a serious look around And as for Fitz, he played efficiently throughout the game, a poor decision on the one sack--just get rid of it, and he made two bad throws--as pointed out above, every QB makes bad throws, those bad ones get magnified when they occur at crunch time. HEY! 4-2, and the season is still young. Our two defeats, by only a late field goal each. Keep it all in perspective. "But the road losses usually mean at least 2 things: you can't run the ball and/or you can't stop it." That is probably the most insight thing said in this entire thread; especially the stopping the run part. It has to be fixed.
  5. I want to say its time to appoint Dave Wannstedt as D Coordinator. But then again, isn't he already Assistant Head Coach and, I assume, in on the game-planning decisions already?
  6. an entertaining game, again! a fun to team to watch, easy team to root for block him!
  7. I feel real good about 4-2, and even the two loses came down to the last minute. And consider this, I think all except the Chiefs are play-off contenting teams, and we've stood toe-to-toe Time to rest, get healthy, and get ready to finally win a game in Canada.
  8. you're right! put Thigpen in, bench this Kitzgerald guy. Tank the rest of our games and we still have a shot at Luck Enough, no more reading this nonsense
  9. yep! No reward without risk, and really, that was not a huge risk, it was just a poor throw, which could happen on any pass play.
  10. Wow, chill . . . one game, one bad throw. Also, the Defense has to step then (its a team game), and they didn't--at lead not until the Giants had driven the length of the field. Everyone, step back and take a rest, it's a buy week and the BIlls are 4-2. And the two loses were within reach. Remember where we were a year ago at this time.
  11. Kellyn Moore - smart, accurate, a winner! Fitz2.0
  12. well you know we'll draft every North Carolina player we can, there's four picks right there
  13. the two best things Buffalo has going for it: Beef on Weck and Wings! just ask Guy Fieri
  14. I too am glad Moats is back on the outside--I think he has the tools and speed to play that well. Recall the screen pass in the 4th quarter to the Eagles D. jackson, because of his speed, Moats was able to snuff that out and stop him by himself for no gain. That play alone against one of the fastest people in the NFL, testifies to his athletic abilities. However, I do understand the the idea of moving him inside. He has good size, and if you can put that speed in the middle and give him the ability to rome from sideline to sideline, all the better. But it didn't work, I suspect there was too much thinking going on and when players think, they become slow. Moreover, with the emergence of Sheppard and Chris Whilte (and the less than pro-bowl performance of Merriman), it was determined he could be better utilized back on the outside. I think within a year our starting linebackers will include Batten, Moats, Sheppard, and White -- Barnett will probably hold his job, but these four give us a promising future over the next few years.
  15. And, I would add: 15 TDs in 20 trips into the Red Zone. And we've needed everyone of them.
  16. Yeah, he's been waiting about 15 years to make this call again. I hope he's right!
  17. say that 5 times fast!
  18. Great stuff - it will be interesting to see where this goes. If all three keep producing and developing, we could possibly have a Tackle controversy of the best kind. I would say consider moving Hairston to a guard position, but it would be very hard to even think which one he would be able to replace. Who would have ever "thunk" we'd have this problem.
  19. that baby looks like he's going to be a middle linebacker one of these days
  20. And of course, explain or embellish your responses. I'm personally going to go with one of the young LBs doing something big this weekend, I think one of them, any of them, is due.
  21. From a laymen's perspective, and just watching the game on TV and replay, it sure looked like Sheppard was everywhere. No, Davis is not awful, but it appeared to me Sheppard was much more athletic, and he did rush the passer several times, creating the Barnett pick 6.
  22. didn't the Bills give Avant the game ball last week? or was it Andy Reid? as for the poll: they've have been equal bit players in what is the drama of the Bills 2011 season--but I think Smith, with his first down plays, and been a little bit more anti-depressive than Spiller would love for just one of them to breakout!!!! "C.J. Spiller is the much better play based upon their production to date," His production, what production?
  23. He and Wood may be the best interior combination in the league right now?
  24. They should not even show up this week, just phone it in Giants!
