  1. Maybe not crashed yet, but not hard to envision how this train could get off track real quickly in the next few weeks . . . and I will love every second of it.
  2. We only deal with facts on this DB, you're going to need to post a picture of your wife before I believe any of the other things you say about Maybin.
  3. Well, I get to be tortured with Dan Dierdorf . . . he is just about the worst in the history of television, every time he talks its like someone running their fingernails across a chalkboard. Thank God for the internet.
  4. Lets be honest, Spiller has been inconsistent at best, he has had one good game (Oakland) in his brief career . . . I want him to be good, but he's very fortunate to have Fred Jackson in front of him. Freddy has covered for how bad (inconsistent) Spiller has been. If Jackson doesn't keep getting better and better with age, there would be a lot of angst toward Spiller on this board. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, he is about one level ahead of Aaron Maybin so far in his career development (that is, when Maybin was at this same time in his short career). Maybin received our venom because he never produced at a position and at a time when the franchise needed him to; and because everyone else was bad, his lack of contribution was just accentuated by that reality--we needed him and got little to nothing. My point: So far Jackson has masked and covered for Spiller--granted, he has given something, certainly more than Maybin ever did, but not much, not what he should have by now. Trade him? NO! But its getting time for him to contribute in a more meaningful and consistent way.
  5. I said it in another thread and it applies here: "Hard to think that a team whose best players are undrafted free agents, 7th round picks, and multi-cut pick-ups from other teams, will take anyone or any team for granted."
  6. Yeah, I agree, or at least I hope that's the case. No doubt he has ben underused so far, but . . . I think playing way ahead or way behind probably has a big say in this, we haven't seen much of what it can be but there is plenty of season to go.
  7. I think they'll all change and we'll bring the the house this weekend: rookie QB, prove to me you can beat the blitz!
  8. Hard to think that a team whose best players are undrafted free agents, 7th round picks, and multi-cut pick-ups from other teams, will take anyone or any team for granted.
  9. Dang, their giving away our secret . . . if the Bills fall back to earth this season, we'll know exactly who to blame
  10. I think he said it's tuned to Rock 107, he likes 80s stadium rock, being a Harvard guy and all
  11. My thoughts on it: Not a big deal. Things change from week to week, and there really isn't much that truly surprises each other in the NFL; it comes down to read, adjust--and make sure you're on the same page when you do (like Ftiz & Fred were on that play), and then execution (which they did).
  12. makes great sense to me
  13. And we kept him in-check, he got yards, but he didn't gash our defense like he did the Jets. He is good, and so is Fred.
  14. Deon called Brady out on that, and I'm by no means a Brady apologist, but the main highlight seems to look like he had an angle and a chance to make a play, but I saw another one from an on-field end zone angle, and that one showed he had no prayer. But it was still beautiful no matter what way you saw it. Regardless, my best moment: 0:00 - Bills 34 Pats 31
  15. yeah, I think that's fair . . . no argument from me
  16. Two thoughts: 1 - Vick's problems are not the refs, its his o-line . . . "how's that working out for you Jason Peters?" 2 - This team (the Bills) have made greats strides already this season, the next big step of growth towards maturity is taking care of a team you should beat. This week is one such game. I'm sure the team leaders and coaching staff will be drilling that into everyones' head this week.
  17. I'm so excited I think I'll head to work early, give the boss an extra hour or two today
  18. Did you see the play last night where Jonathan Scott, their starting left tackle (let that phrase sink in for a minute) was pushed into Roth., and he almost knock him to the ground. When I saw that, I said a little prayer and thanked God for our o-line (and let that sink in for a minute). To me its the Jets . . . it seems like the national media types have an orgasm every time they see or hear Rex Ryan
  19. I would add, even though they're not getting sacks, a better d-line and linebacking core helps these guys get (look?) better. Our defense is better, the stats may not say it, but I think those will improve in time.
  20. "It has been something special the past few weeks. It's great to see the 20 somethings and college kids get a taste of what it was like to have the team to look forward to week after week. When the Sabres are rolling it's like a small tornado.....but when the Bills get going, the whole thing turns into a category 5 hurricane. The younger generation has no idea of the power behind it. I think it's safe to say we at least now have a tropical storm warning posted for our area. " Great observation and way to say it Clip. Right now, its euphoric. It is not only that we beat the evil empire of the football world, its HOW we won, and WHO is doing it, and WHEN, etc. Personally, for us old-timers, with all the history behind it, and with the context of this win, I'm not sure any Super Bowl win would have spurred any deeper emotions in me. . . . But, I sure would love the opportunity to compare
