12/8/24 Game 14 GAMEDAY! Bills vs Rams post game Thread

And I think I saw that Elam, who apparently is a competent man cover corner, was actually inactive, and when Douglas went down, we had a Ingram trying to cover Kupp/Nacua. Elam has 723 snaps in the league, Ingram has 166. Elam must really be in McDermott's doghouse. -

We have an all-world QB, and lose this game on a special teams blocking error. Kinda Billsy for sure. -

We do have Anderson who has a fair number of snaps at Jumbo TE, and Gilliam can play TE in a pinch -

Not sure why they didn't IR him if it looked like he would be out this long? -
Looking at Ref Assignments, smelling like we will get Hochuli vs. Detroit next week.

I feel the need...for speed, need a wideout who can keep defenses honest; someone able to go and get the deep ball, not sure we have that right now. -

That defensive tackle is 6'6" 310# Chris Jones, arguably the best at his position in the NFL. Most Offensive Lineman facing Chris Jones have bad games. he is relentless and rarely takes a play off. -

Thought it interesting that the Rams team site for week 14 shows Zero injuries. Are they really that healthy?; or is McVay just gaming the system. Find it very hard to believe in Week 14 that an NFL team has no one injured enough to report. -
Just caught a blantant cheap shot at our QB from last week

If Josh is running the ball, and the #1 ranked LB in the league hits him with a helmet to helmet shot, what are the 7 officials on the field and the sky judge looking at? Gotta wonder... -

Rams are averaging 21 ppg, most they have scored all season is 30. Bills have been 30 or over for last six games, including @ Seattle and '@ Indy. -

Yeah we only keep hanging 30 + points down 2 of our top 4 receivers.... -
Alec Anderson sure looked solid in the snow vs. the 49ers, Dawkins has been so durable tho.

What’s it gonna take to improve /prioritize our run defense?

Haven't we stashed 6'2" Cine on the practice squad with the thought that he will add some body mass and become the hybrid "big Nickel". Former first rounder and national championship game MVP at Georgia. -
Don't know if Beane has snap count incentives built into some of these player contracts. I'm all for player workload management but most of these guys only have a few years to make big bucks, and you might be playing with fire to load manage to a point where they lose an incentive.

As someone who has been doing sports stats at the HS and College level since the 1960's While I'm glad that tools like PFF exist, they may not have enough sensitivity to accurately reflect how some players impact the game. I find it difficult to believe for example; that Josh, who they have graded in the 90's in each of the past 4 years, has suddenly dropped down to the #6 QB in their rankings behind Lamar, Burrow, Daniels, Herbert, and Carr, none of whom play for a team with a better record than the Bills. He has 1 game this season [KC] that is at the level he has averaged for each of the past 4 seasons. Is Josh playing worse, not that I can see, but his grades are not reflective of how well he is playing or his leadership. Last night his PFF grade was 80.7 even tho he posted a nearly perfect passer rating, and scored a TD on the ground and threw for two more, including one to himself on the hook and lateral with Coleman. I think their scale on grading plays may not be sensitive enough to properly credit extraordinary plays such as the run vs. KC or the Allen to Coleman to Allen play last night. I also don't think they weight game changing plays heavily enough, for example the Rapp forced fumble which IMHO turned the entire game into a rout.

They haven't been able to stop Cook running outside to Brown's side all night. Why run him up the gut?
