Inside the Film Room with McDermott and Tasker
transient replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think DeMarco made that look bad. It made more sense to throw the ball to his outside shoulder where Allen put it, away from the defender, than to the inside shoulder where DeMarco is looking for it before pirouetting to try and catch it. -
Oakland, where failed Bills QB careers end
transient replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Considering he is a 5th year vet, he was the worst player on the field for over half of the 4th preseason game against players not likely to stay in the league, and he looked like ?? against the Browns. He had by far the worst showing of any of the QBs in camp in preseason. Not a great look for someone who thought he should be a starting QB in the NFL. Granted, when the real bullets are flying Peterman sucks ? ⚾️s, but let’s stop acting like AJM could have even been the second coming of Josh McCown. He has 3 starts to his resume, so there’s no overwhelming wisdom he would have imparted upon Allen. He’s no great loss. If Allen goes down the season is eff’d whether AJM is here or not. -
This assumes they would have drafted Mahomes. Rumor was Whaley was beating the drum for Watson. Look at all the due diligence that McDermott and Beane did vetting QBs this offseason. I don’t think there was any way McDermott wanted to draft a franchise QB that Whaley had anything at all to do with. Also, he still had to figure out what he had in Tyrod. I don’t think the hindsight Mahomes plus the picks spent in trades is as straightforward of a real world scenario as you’re making it out to be.

[Incomplete Title] No one saw this coming.....No one

So hard to follow. Stop with your head games. One minute you’re cold as ice, the next you’re hotblooded. -
Marshall Newhouse traded - Signed Jeremiah Sirles

Obviously the photo's not from 2018 otherwise, as a Vikings OL, he'd be turning around to look for Jerry Hughes. -
Maybe Allen can learn to play the bank off of Benjamin’s chest in order to get the ball to an otherwise covered receiver who could reliably catch it... a plan which unfortunately assumes that such a player currently exists on the Bills.

His erratic accuracy, erratic decision making, and borderline arm strength play a pretty big role in the picks as well.

No need to be racially insensitive about it. https://m.imgur.com/t/funny/XZzKY5J -

Sorta... kinda like the way the Powerball commercials remind me that I’m flat broke. -

Yeah, he’ll throw the game away on first and ten from midfield down by 2 with 3 TOs and 1:30 to play. -

Brandon Bean failed to provide Josh Allen a mentor

Was exactly what I was remembering... gutless POS. There may have been a few instances that have rivaled that, but I've never hated a Bills player more than I did Orton on that day. -

Bring back Orton. He could mentor the heart right outta this kid. -
Actually, I had misread a previous story: https://www.complex.com/sports/2018/09/somebody-lost-9000-betting-on-vikings-to-beat-bills I thought a $1000 bet was paying $450, but it was actually a $9000 bet to win $450, probably the same thing that you were referencing above.

Maybe the good juju came from the fact that you both got screwed?

Fitty K. Thing is, if he really did bet 5K on the game and the Vikes had covered he would have only made 2,250 on the bet.

Opposing defenses will adjust to Allen going forward
transient replied to TigerJ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is one of those stats not telling the whole story scenarios. Of the 196 yds he had ~180 yds in the first half before they went conservative and ran the ball to sit on the lead. He also had some huge drops by Foster, Benjamin, and Clay that would potentially have added another 100 yds and 3 passing TDs (though he rushed for a TD after the Clay drop). -
The flip to RR was the worst call I've ever seen.

You don't have to own up. No one with eyes actually believed you were a fumble anyway. -
McDermott piling on: Should have put Peterman in.
transient replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that wood have been a grate idea. They could have brought back Rico Dennisman who wood have had Peterson hand off to, and throw swing passes to, OJ Tolbert to choo up the clock. They also should had resigned Vonte David at halftime because of all of the injuries to CB. -
Allen is a budding superstar

I don’t want to see it again, either, but you gotta think his teammates gotta love playing with a guy like that and are more likely to give everything they have for him. -
Micah Hyde's San Diego wife loves Buffalo
transient replied to WhoTom's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Grew up in the south towns, went to college in central New York, lived in Buffalo from my early 20s - early 30s, and have lived in Ann Arbor, Houston, and now New Orleans. People who say there’s nothing to do in Buffalo aren’t looking too hard. I had my share of fun in my 20s and 30s, and there’s more to do now than there was then. The thing that is indisputable, whether you love the place or not, is that 4-6 months out of the year it is gray. I didn’t realize until I moved to Houston just how gray it was and how much sunlight makes a difference to me. Love Buffalo, but cannot see myself ever living there again willingly.
