I don’t know of any specific “turmoil” caused by FH this season, but anyone who followed this thread in the past knows that Frank caused a lot of problems during his sophomore season. A lot of people speculated that FH was one of the reasons that Hop jumped ship for UW when he did. Frank did some stupid *****, divided the team and contributed to losing a major 5* recruit....Hop wanted Frank kicked off the team and Boeheim didn’t. Certainly not the only reason Hop left when he did, but those “in the know” know that Hop and JB had a major, major disagreement about Frank. I’ve gone from thinking this team is going to live and die by Frank Howard to thinking (especially after watching the Buddy-Tyus tandem over the last few games) we should just move on. As you mentioned, there is a noticeable difference in the team when Frank is out there. His attitude sucks, he doesn’t hustle, and he doesn’t play defense. Start Tyus at PG, Buddy at SG, and have Jalen Carey spell Tyus at the point. Hughes can play SG too.

I don’t see why Buddy can’t be the primary SG. He has grown so much. He hustles, plays good defense, and can hit shots. I’d take Tyus and Buddy over Howard and Tyus all day right now. I want Howard to return to form just as much as anyone, BTW. I’ve seen spurts from him, but he has looked worse and worse as of late. I think injury plays a role, but I also think FH has character issues that make it difficult for him to overcome adversity. Put the best 5 on the floor.

Ever notice how Chukwu can dunk like a mofo on an alley-oop, but it is impossible for him to catch and dunk under the hoop? Mystery of physics.... Certainly not ideal, but if Howard is sucking like he has, why not exactly?

You have to bench Howard when he is playing like he currently is. He’s been flat out terrible in every facet of the game, and his effort out there (especially on defense) is deplorable. I agree we need Howard to play well, but if he continues to be a detriment to the team...roll with Battle and Boeheim. JB pulls Battle for Howard (seemingly to give Tyus a brief rest) down by 1 point and look what happened?! Two quick turnovers by Howard and very quickly we are out of the game again. I don’t know what happened to Howard between last season and this one, but he really, really sucks right now. Also, the getting over the injury excuse is growing old.

I would put my $ on Metcalf. Physical freak unlike any other in this draft. Watching his highlights, he reminds me a great deal of Randy Moss.

Good win. 7-2 in the ACC with some key wins. I love when JB runs Tyus at PG and Buddy at SG. I think we will see more and more of this, as Howard has been wildly inconsistent. Chukwu with a pretty good game too which is a bonus. Defense really taking shape.

Dude...he’s coming off of his rookie season playing in an offense devoid of talent. He had flashes of brilliance on the field, and most of all, has earned the respect of the locker room. If watching Josh Allen this season doesn’t have you feeling optimistic about more wins in the future, I don’t think there’s enough Prozac in the world to change your perception.

No one needs to carry dead weight. A bit of a parallel....not necessarily a date story but a girl I was dating. I was finishing up my education, living in CNY bartending part-time, and had just accepted my first job down in Charlotte. About to make big moves in my life. The girl I was dating at the time was absolutely stunning. Probably too hot for me, but sort of immature and liked to party a little too much for her age (25-26). Frequently, she would go out to the bar while was working or studying, and then crawl into bed next to me at 2 or 3 am smelling like booze. I knew I was going to be moving out of state, so we had a serious conversation about my need for her to better herself in one way or another. I suggested that she take some classes to work toward finishing her degree. I suggested that she try to find a full-time job (she waitressed like 2-3 nights per week and mommy gave her money). After about 6 months I was about a month away from moving to Charlotte. Start a new life. She assumed she was coming with me, as we had been dating for almost 2 years. Welp, I had to let her know that I was moving south by myself because she had yet to prove to me that she could get her ***** together enough to contribute. I wasn’t going to support her. That relationship ended very abruptly, and I got a single new start in Charlotte which was for the best.

Extrovert here. The more people the better. Love parties and can carry on a conversation with just about anyone. Although, as mentioned earlier in this thread, as I have grown older (and there is less opportunity for it) I do enjoy time by myself or just with my family.
