Bill Belichick. Greatest fraud in NFL history.
billsfan89 replied to Walking Tall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Correction he went 3-1 and played without Jimmy G the backup for 2 of those 4 games, still impressive. -
PFF grades Milano as league's best linebacker so far

PFF is still flawed but they seem to be correct in that Milano is having a dam good season. -
Something to keep an eye on: Point differential?
billsfan89 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even in week one they lost a close game to a team that is at the very least decent. These things happen, sometimes you come out a bit flat and you run into a bad matchup. The past two weeks have definitely been a fantastic rebound. -
Bill Belichick. Greatest fraud in NFL history.
billsfan89 replied to Walking Tall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not going to call him a fraud just yet. He did go 10-5 a full season without Brady and 4-0 when Brady was suspended. He is now trotting out a rookie QB who is having growing pains. Let’s see how this plays out. -
Taron Johnson extension. When and how much?
billsfan89 replied to No_Matter_What's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cap goes up and they have some older players on decent sized deals such as Hughes, Addison, Butler and Star that can be jettisoned. Long term they will have to make some tough decisions but if they want to keep Johnson (as they should) they will be able to. -
Picking up Edmunds Option a Rare Beane Mistake
billsfan89 replied to Billy Zabka's topic in The Stadium Wall
Clearly the coaching staff feels that he is a fit for this team and it’s defense. I tend to trust this coaching staff and their talent evaluation process given that it seems fairly successful over the past few years. -
The Bills can bore me with their greatness.

"Buy stock in A.J. Epenesa" - says Daniel Jeremiah
billsfan89 replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Jerry but from what I have seen he has been average at best, I think at his age he is better off taking a reduced role. I like what I have seen from Addison and the young guys can go. Let Jerry take less snaps and hopefully be more effective in certain situations. -
Knox seems like he has polished up his game a bit this season, liking what I have seen so far.

Bills 17.5 pt favorites vs the Texans
billsfan89 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Texans aren't very talented but they aren't a joke. When a team is playing hard for a coach you can't just lay the pads out there and win. You really need to go out and beat them. This is a fairly big game for the Bills in terms of piling up a win before going into a tough two game stretch. -
Just an all around great game. Back to Back good to great games from this team after a disappointing week one loss (granted a close loss to an at least decent team) and outside of a bad Special Teams play and one big play given up by the defense the team really just dominated wire to wire. The team even showed resiliency after being up 21-0 they gave up a big play on defense and a bad turnover and TD on a short field. They then proceeded to pad the lead back up to two possessions with a pair of field goals before slamming the door with a big second half.

How did Rousseau play against the Steelers?
billsfan89 replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hoping to see him get some batted balls against really quick release QB’s. I thought for a rookie he looked solid. -
The Steelers were just putting so much pressure on Josh and there was some instances of bad playcalling. I am writing this off as simply playing against an elite defense. No panic setting in yet. It was a fairly close game against a good team early in the season. Frustrating since they could have put them away early but instead only went up 10-0.

Overall a solid half, great defense, solid special teams but mostly bad offense. The Steelers have one of the best defenses in the league and the Bills got a 10 point lead on them. The offense put together a big driven when they needed it most. Happy to take a two possession lead into the second half against a good team.

Something to keep an eye on: Point differential?

The panic over point differential early last season was completely over blown. The Bills point difference was deflated in some games by late scores when the Bills were up by two scores. -
Taiwan Jones - Elite Gunner and now Captain
billsfan89 replied to DasNootz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One thing that has separated McBeane from past administrations is the attention to detail on the roster. In the past the team would just be satisfied with mediocre or average players in niche positions. Or they would pay a dramatic premium for returners and special teams specialists. The Bills have swung a nice balance of getting good value on the edges of the roster. Overpaying here and there but not too dramatically that they can't invest in key areas. Jones and the other critical ST players are really a good example of that. -
No idea why Tyrod gets so much hate around here. Just because he wasn’t a game changing franchise QB doesn’t mean he deserves scorn for ending a massive playoff drought.

The Bills simply liked whatelse they had on the roster better. Not that complicated, good for Hollister to catch on.

Changing up how I watch the Bills game
billsfan89 replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Superstitions are really not worth it and don't work in my opinion. I have literally tried every which way to develop lucky hats and t-shirts along with places and ways to watch and everything is just seemingly random. The only thing I need for the game is a good place to watch it and for my wife not to bother me.
