  1. We don't draft well, our O-line is terrible, our OC and DC are not competent and need to be replaced, we need to have someone else pay our MLB, etc, etc, and now we learn our WRers are terrible. How did we win a game last season?
  2. I don't agree with this draft philosophy;https://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/2023/02/the-height-of-stupidity-are-the-bills-crazy-to-consider-drafting-a-running-back-in-round-one.htmlUpgrading the O-line for next season has to be a priority, no questions asked. That being said, will an O-lineman be available at 27 that can come in and start? If the draft prospect evaluators are correct, this is a weak draft for a "draft and start O-lineman". There appears to be a decent size group of quality O-line prospects in the late round 2 and round three gradings. Therefore, barring a Bong user falling into our lap, it doesn't appear likely the Bills will be able to upgrade their starting O-line via the draft. It appears more likely they can find some O-line depth in the draft with future starting potential. Unfortunately, the cap-strapped Bills will have to look to free agency to upgrade the starting o-line. With all that, I would much prefer the Bills select a player with true or close to true first-round qualities no matter the position. And should Bijan Robinson be in decent price range, I would be thrilled to have the Bills jump in front of Dallas and grab him. A backfield with Allen and Robinson might be deemed illegal by the NFL.
  3. Compared to Running Back, O-Linemen, and Wide Receiver, Line Backers is not a position requiring an upgrade to make the Bills a better team.
  4. I think Douglas would like to sign Carr or Mayfield because they are much better QBs than Wilson, and he would not have to give up any players or draft capital. On the other hand, I think Johnson thinks Arron Rogers is the Jets missing link to go deep into the playoffs next season.
  5. This type of evaluation exercise is limited at best and perhaps worthless. I would think the selection of scouts, the creation of the Draft Board, other draftees available at the time of selection, and the influence of the owner and perhaps head coach have as much weight, if not more in grading a GM.
  6. Perhaps Hodgins had something to do with the departure of Chad Hall.
  7. Jet roster is good enough that they could make the playoffs with Baker Mayfield.
  8. If the Bills want Bijan Robinson, they are going to have to jump in front of Dallas. Jones will upgrade his run game with Robinson and cut Elliott.
  9. It's when Allen hoisted the Lombardi Trophy. Perhaps next season. GO BILLS!!!!!!
  10. From afar it appeared, the Bills team that played after Hamlin's on-field cardiac arrest was not the same team that played before that awful event. I base my opinion on how poorly the Post Hamlin event Bills played against a depleted New England team and a Dolphins team led by their third-string QB. Not to mention being embarrassed at home by a solid Cincinnati team. I believe, from watching player interviews, especially Tre Whites, many players internalized the horrific event and perhaps lost their focus. That all being said, I might divide my player and coaching analysis, pre/post Hamlin event.
  11. If the Bills draft a QB this year, I sincerely doubt they will, I would like it to be Garrett Shrader. His game has similarities to Allen's.
  12. Haven’t a clue. I know it’s popular on TBD to fire everyone on the coaching staff. Maybe they are right. I’m not in that camp.
  13. I don’t want to create holes on, what I consider, a defense with just above average talent. In my scenario drafting Robinson is mutually exclusive from any other moves that Beane makes. Simple put, I believe Robinson is the best player the Bills could select at their draft position. Certainly, if I could give up a draft pick next year vs this year to move up, I would do so.
  14. I don’t know what the draft trade values are moving up to the #20 draft slot. But I would gladly give up the #3 spot this year, and could be convinced to give up my #2 instead. My thinking is we have to jump in front of Dallas. I think Dallas will take Robinson to replace Elliott.
  15. In this year's draft I don't expect there will be a round-one-rated Olineman or WR fall to the Bills. That being said, the Bills will have a shot to draft a top-five talent in Bijan Robinson. Adding Robinson to a backfield with Josh Allen might be illegal. If Robinson falls to 20, I would go so far as to trade up for him. GO BILLS!!!!!
  16. Perhaps I'm giving the Bills a pass on a very poor performance against Cincinnati. That being said, I don't think it was the same Bills team after the Hamlin cardiac arrest. I say this based on their poor performance against Miami a week earlier. Looking back, some interviews after the Hamlin incident, especially Tre White's, concerned me. I imagine some of the players internalized Hamlin's situation to a degree that it affected their focus. I might add that Hamlin's event could have also affected some coaches.
  17. Let's see, Kromer sucks, Dorsey sucks, Frazier sucks, McDermott sucks, and other than Allen, Beane sucks at drafting. How the hell did we win any games these last few years?
  18. Agree with OP on Bijan Robinson. Robinson is the type of back that an offense can use as their centerpiece. Having Allen and Robinson in the same backfield might be illegal. GO BILLS!!!!
  19. Bijan Robinson is the one player in the draft that could fall to the Bills and have the greatest positive impact. I would even go so far as to recommend if Robinson was available around pick 18, the Bills should be calling to trade up.
  20. I think the draft pick that could help the Bills the most is Bijan Robinson. I'm hoping that we are lucky enough to have him fall to us. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!
  21. From afar it appeared it took Cook more than half the season to get mentally acclimated to the NFL. Hopefully, that's all behind him and he's now mentally prepared to become the back we are all hoping for.
  22. Joe Douglas has shown a propensity to keep his draft picks and pass on deals if he feels are too draft pick costly. Based on that, I think the New York Jets will have either Jimmy Garoppolo or Baker Mayfield on their roster next season.
  23. Should Bijan Robinson fall to the Bills in this upcoming draft, Beane and company should sprint to the podium, thanking their lucky stars all the way, to select Bijan. An RB of his talent coupled with Josh Allen would almost be an unfair offense. Certainly, we have needs on the Oline and secondary. But in my opinion, Robinson's upgrade to our overall team won't be available at another position. Not to mention, a back like Robinson can be the center piece of an offense should Allen not be available.
  24. Last week I was hoping for a big game from our front 4 because Miami had starters out on their Oline. It never materialized, we had to blitz to get pressure on Thompson. Hopefully, this week our front 4 delivers. GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
