Hope I’m wrong, but I think we did not do well on day two of this draft. 😞

Your one, and only one, draft hot take?
gjv replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Bijon Robinson is on the board at 20, the Bills jump in front of the LA Chargers and draft Robinson. -
Based on evaluations of most Draft Prospect evaluators, Bijon Robinson is an RB in the mold of Saquon Barkley with the additional skill set of a slot receiver. An NFL team can build an offense around this three-down back. I can see the Bills rushing him 12 to 15 times a game and throwing to him 5 to 8 passes/gm. I don't think there is another player in the draft, who could fall within a reasonable trade-up cost, that could have a more profound impact on the Bills offense for the next 5 seasons.

Would like for Josh to have Diggs, Hopkins, and Bijon Robinson to play with. -

Who are considered the "Can't Miss" prospects in the draft this year?

Bills 1st and 3rd round pick. -
Who are considered the "Can't Miss" prospects in the draft this year?
gjv replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
With the Bills in the win now mode, I would be inclined to have the Bills move up and select a player in their "can't miss draft and start" category. Based on the 2023 draft trade value chart, I would be comfortable trading up to pick 17. -
Pretty easy to get it from OBJ's side, 15mil. for one year.

Have a trade partner ready to jump in front of the Chargers to draft Bijon Robinson.

Good perspective on how good we were last year

I think the Hamlin on-field cardiac arrest had a major negative on many players. To the point where they internalized the event and lost focus for the balance of the season. I base my opinion on player interviews, especially Tre White, and the fact that we had such poor performances against a depleted Patriots team and a Dolphins team led by a third-string QB. Not to mention being embarrassed at home by the Bengals. Hopefully, everyone has recovered and regained their focus. Had the Hamlin event not occurred, I think the Bills would have played much better at the end of the season. -
Perhaps this is a subtle message from Diggs to Beane to improve the quality of skilled players around Josh. Diggs and Jim Kelly might be on the same bandwagon.

Like many here, Jim Kelly says JA can’t do it all. Here’s his solution
gjv replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thank you Jim Kelly!! Jumping ahead of the Chargers for Bijan Robinson would probably cost a 4th round pick. Even if it's a third, Bijan is not just a RB in the mold of a Saquon Barkley, Bijan is an outstanding receiver. Not to mention one of 14 players with a true 1st round grade. -
Name 2 players the Buffalo Bills will select in the 2023 NFL Draft

Bijan Robinson Luke Musgrave -
Too bad we are having such a hard time affording upgrades to our skilled positions. I'm hoping this off season that we at least get a running back on the roster better than Josh.
-
Time the Bills Brass got Josh a real RB. An RB that the rest of the league will respect. Love watching Josh running the ball, but I'm tired of him being the best RB on the team.
-
ESPN latest mock has us getting a RB but not the one you think

I would jump ahead of the Chargers and draft Robinson. Watching an offense with Josh Allen surrounded by Diggs, Hopkins, and Robinson would be fun. NFL -
Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
gjv replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
We need to put real playmakers around Josh. If Hopkins is to rich for our blood then let’s get Josh the best playmaker in the draft, Bijan Robinson. Not only a Barkley clone, but an outstanding receiver. -
This is a trade that can easily be classified as a Win/Win.

The Cincy game & its affect on how we view the team
gjv replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think, the post-Hamlim on-field cardiac arrest Bills, were not the Bills team that played prior to that horrific event. Judging by the interviews after Hamlin's incident, especially Tre White's, I believe many players internalized the event and lost focus. No way would a depleted Patriot team or third-string-led Dolphins have been a match for the pre-Hamlin incident Bills. I'm hoping every player on the roster has come to terms with what happened to Hamlin and has moved on. -
I doubt any of the draft and play O-lineman fall out of affordable move-up range in round one. That being said jumping the LA Chargers for Bijan Robinson would cost us a third-round pick at most. I think that a bargain.
-
I'm hoping the Bills draft Bijan Robinson. He would elevate the Bills RB room from below average to top 5 in the NFL.
