  1. I don't get why people get on Damond's case. The guy writes articles about players that are relevant to this team. He has been able to interview players and provide good insight. ESPN has a traffic counter. Nobody cares when you post a link there. Thanks Damond! As for Ellis, looks like a heavy hitter and we can definitely use some strong DB's after the year that we saw outside of Byrd and flashes of Gilmore.
  2. Detroit`s ST`s were horrible last year. Absolutely brutal! Not overly happy about this one. Maybe it was a case of staffing in Detroit, but he has the most to prove out of the hirings so far. He has an NFL track record with some poor results.
  3. Hadn't heard that about the old coaches. Disappointing news if true. I didn't say I wanted DeHaven back, I just said I would prefer him to a re-tread whose ST's were pathetic last year. I wouldn't put our ST's in the pathetic category and would actually say there was a degree of success last year on ST's. Might have been the most consistent unit beween D, O and ST's. At least get us something new with a successful pedigree.
  4. As long as David Lee didn't teach it, I'm sure the delivery was just fine.... Congrats Fitz family!
  5. I hope we hear Joe D'Allessandris and Metz in that group. DeHaven would be far more welcomed than Danny Crossman. The Lions ST's were abysmal this year. Easily bottom three in the league. Why would we want someone with that in their track record?
  6. I only caught him in the Boise State game this year, but was very impressed with some of the plays he made, despite being forced out of the pocket and pressured on most every play. I wouldn't scream at the TV if he were our pick. Still not certain if he is "sure-thing" enough to go in the first, but if it's the decision, we all need to go with it because the Bills have had too many missed QB opportunities in the draft the last 5 years. Lookin' forward to the Senior Bowl.
  7. I have a buddy with 2 PSL's in Seattle. Love him for doing it, but have to question why. He pays through the nose for those things and I get them 2 games a year anyways. Good for me, dumb for him.
  8. This. I follow the Seahawks as I live a couple of hours from Seattle. He was not the qb the Bills needed last year and he's not gonna be the one they need next year. Indecisive, weak arm and not incredibly mobile to make up for it.
  9. Who's gonna run special teams? Haven't heard a thing mentioned there. I like Carmichael as I saw him do a good job in NO the past few years. the issue there is that he had Brees. That makes up for some shortcomings that a coach may have. When Drew was out, the O was a bit stagnant. If the QB (Chase Daniel) was off, they didn't utilize Ingram as well as one would hope. We all know that the Bills top weapon is CJ and our next OC better be a guy who gets that and knows what to do with him.
  10. I wanted the house cleaned...except Joe D. That O-line should be left alone and allowed some continuity. Very, very worried that they mess up and get a HC in that jumps on the treadmill and keeps it rolling.....
  11. That's not the case, as we know. it's just that you need one major dummy to take on Sanchez at that price and you won't find that in Seattle. Pete Carroll isn't that guy and the team owner, Paul Allen, is far from that guy. I see what you are thinking, but this is far from a remotely likely trade.
  12. Hello all. I live in the PNW and follow Seattle pretty closely. Trading Flynn for Sanchez is a ridiculous idea. They still like Flynn, it's just that Russell is a major revelation. Although Sanchez and Pete have history, Flynn comes at a far lower cost and has taken a lot less hits. He is a far more reliable back-up at this stage.
  13. Here's my take. Fire Chan-yes. He has proved in multiple games that he cannot coach a team to win when he's too busy trying not to lose. He is as aggressive as a Golden Lab. This team needs a firey, Harbaugh type or a balls-to-the-walls guy like (gulp) Pete Carroll
  14. I'm gonna hazard a guess that he actually went further back with that one and was calling for Lawrence Taylor, but your point is still valid. As for Urlacher, it's an extremely tough call. The guy, when healthy this year, has still been extremely valuable to the Bears defense. He is worn down, but still would be our top LB at this point. It does sound as though he would be more prone to retire if not re-signed by the Bears, the only team that he has known. If motivated and healthy, I'd say it's a no-brainer. I just can't believe that he'll be either.
  15. No to Andy, no to Rivers. Reid's personal life has left him in a very tough spot. He needs to step away from the game for at least a year and focus on what matters;family. Rivers' penchant for tossing INT's into the End Zone has become a habit, and that's not one that is desirable as a NFL QB. Maybe a change of locale would help, but I doubt it. He looks fragile. Love that arm, love that swagger, hate the on-field performance.
  16. Those two, IMHO, are the best CB tandem in the league right now. If they get suspended on roid charges, the Bills have a shot. With them in the backfield, I don't see much opportunity for Stevie, Donald or TJ to make much of an impact
  17. I hate tanking, but damn I hate being a perennial loser so much more. Get me a top QB and we're talking. Get me a new HC with a clue and we're having a day-long conversation. Get me Bill Cowher and you won't shut me up.
  18. Pats win, but lose Hernandez and Welker for the year. Never want to wish ill towards another human being, but Patriots hardly classify as such.
  19. Great evaluation Jon. Thanks for putting all that work forth!
  20. On the couch-check Beer-check Chicken-check Expectations at an all-time low-check Still lovin our Bills-BIG CHECK
  21. Bills 32-Fins 13. 146 yds, 2 TDs Spiller, 96 yds, 1 td- DJones, 101 yds-Stevie, 43 yds, 1TD-TJGraham. 5 sacks by the D-line.
  22. Box of Rain-nice touch I can't argue your points, but I may need to analyze Dareus' play better based on what a number of posters have noted today. I actually thought he applied solid pressure more often than not.
  23. I'm not from Buffalo, but the Bills are my team in a large part to the fan experience that i have every time I go to a game at the Ralph. Those are not the LA fans or the NYC fans. Those are Buffalo fans and without them, the Bills will be dead to me and I will move over to being a Seahawks fan, because they offer the second best stadium in the NFL to watch a game at. Saying "I wish they would leave" isn't going to endear you to any Bills fan from the great city of Buffalo.
  24. This has been true since Urbik and Glenn went down. Up to that point, the line had the depth to rotate in players that were also able to wear down the oppositions D-line. The past two games, this has not been the case. Fitz, our new check-down champ, gets the ball out of his hands quickly and this helps the O-line look stronger than it may actually be at times. Fina, Ritcher, Hull, Ballard and Davis were a very, very good O-line and the possibility exists for the current group to surpass their level. The advantage of the 90's team will always be the guy they were protecting. He was just a tad better than Fitz...
  25. There is a thought that I had. Maybe Merriman and Kelsay get into Dareus and Mario and tell them how it is? Those two need to wake up or there isn't a chance in hell the Bills win. Fitz and the O played well enough to win last week. The D did not.
