  1. For anyone thinking about using the Leafs-Sabres comparison, that is not a good analogy. The NHL has max capacity Arenas of 19-20,000. The NFL would be looking at more like 50-60,000. Those numbers do not compute. And, yes, the Bills pull a sizeable fan base from deeper into Southwestern Ontario than St. Catherines and Niagara Falls.. Toronto and the surrounding area probably provide about 5-6,000 seats per game. Not exactly a drop in the bucket. I pray that they do not get their own team. Give them back to LA. Send them to OK City. Just don't put them in Toronto.
  2. The legend grows with every passing year....... I would welcome his advice if I were any quarterback in the NFL trying to run any variation of the K-Gun. I mean, it's not like there have been that many advances in play calling over the last 10 years. Everyone still goes out and runs and passes and fakes and punts and kicks and hits. Nothing new there..... oh yeah , now they cheat (see Belichick, William). Despite the fact that Kelly has been off the field for a decade, he still knows and ran the system as well as anyone in NFL history. He can surely teach Trent the nuances of the offense.
  3. Has anyone noticed that we are unbeaten this season? I just can't understand why a player sees our record and doesn't sign up........ I guess bridesmaid season continues.....let's hope we can sell all these ugly teal and purple dresses we keep acquiring....
  4. I was thinking the exact same thing. I wouldn't argue a lifetime ban for Vick, but I do not expect one to materialize. It would have happened last year if it was going to happen. They'll probably keep him out a year more, then reinstate him next year. The Raiders will sign him and he'll make Al Davis look as smart as a bag of bricks. Not that he needs any help on that one. I think we can close this thread now.
  5. South Georgia Bills Fan....the name says it all. he's from Vick country. The same place where the kind of backwoods crap that is dog fighting occurs. Probably has a brother-uncle too. Probably the worst post in the past two weeks.
  6. Wow! We have some real geniuses on the board these days! So, do those two humans tear the skin off eachother and duel till the death? Not unless you are talking some Mad Max Thunderdome fighting! Like Lori said, human fighters sign waivers and are congnisant of what the other is going through. They are not aiming to mame or kill the opponent, just to win in the eyes of the judges. Animals are just that, animals. While they can add a great deal to our lives and are generally great to have around, they are moulded by those that train them. This is not their own fault. A puppy is not born with malice in them. This is something that base-level humans put into them. Looks like the same kind of base-level humans that Red Rooster thinks are justified. Get a brain!
  7. You are a major loser. Your mom doesn't have a dog to come and wake you in your basement so you compare dogs to bugs? Good logic! I am completely in accordance with the OP. Mike Vick, as good as he was a football player, is a despicable human being. I could not watch this man play on my beloved Bills for a second. I would rather chear on the (gasp) Patriots than have him on my team. I have a Scott American Bulldog and she is an absolute joy to see everyday. She greets me when I get home, wakes me up to get me off my ass in the morning and brings joy to my life as she plays in the park and on the beach. How could anyone ever compare a dog to an ant? I know....you are Mike Vick! What an A-hole!
  8. Sorry Gordio, should have said "imposing tackler", then you might have been happier? I think your mom is calling you for dinner. Go upstairs and eat the KD and weiners she made for you. Chase it down with a Bud Light and call it a day... I didn't say I was a credible source. I said that well written post makes you seem more educated and lends an air of credibility.
  9. I hate when people write "could of". "Could of" is the way it sounds, sort of, but the meaning of this phrase should lead anyone to understand that it would be written "could have" or a the least "could've". Just saying. Maybe the teacher in me, but I would be much more receptive to a well written post than a gramatically incorrect one. It brings an air of credibility to the post, even if it were from an non-credible source. Still, happy to see Freddie will come into camp a little happier. He deserves the raise. he is a great second option as a back for the Bills. Now, let's see what happens with Tinoisamoa. I'd like to see a pass rusher like him on the team. Smaller guy, but heart of a lion. Would fit our D scheme well. Fingers are crossed.
  10. I wasn't in on the "Vote to ban Skooby" thread, but I would have been against the ban. Who else posts as much? It would be a Skooby vs. DC Tom duel and DC Tom is a lot less controversial. What fun is that? We need someone who makes up stuff and drinks a lot. makes for far more interesting banter.
  11. I like how this has disintegrated into a "who likes Skooby?" thread. Levi would be a nice addition to the OL if healthy. Butler would start at RG. No way we get rid of Langston if we would consider moving him to RT, the most key position on the line. Levitre would be a killer ins. policy and a future starter provided he is the player we hope he will be.
  12. I truly do not see why, when we get an actual paid pro in here, you couch sitting wannabes continually attack Tim. Take his words for what they are; his words. Not facts based on stats or an incredible crystal ball. It's what he gets paid to do, analyze, form an opinion and then convey it in written form. It seems as though some of you are just trying to one-up him and show him that you are smarter or can provide more accurate analysis of football. If you are, then go get espn to hire you. Tim, Our OL is the biggest concern amongst people on this board. Aside from LT and RT, at what position would you choose to make a move on this team if you were the GM?
  13. TG would be nice, but I'd agree that a second rounder would be better used on a young promising TE or in a trade for some concussion....errrr.....Edwards protection in the form of a some OL help.
  14. JP sure looked good a couple of years ago.......in Madden '07! Not a bad guy/ not a good NFL quarterback. Well, he had some experience playing in Toronto....maybe he can be a Doug Flutie story and resurrect his career in the CFL?
  15. Peters is not worth 2 #1's. He might fetch a late 1st and a 3rd and a player, but I'd expect less. Probably better to succumb to his will and give him a 6 year/ $60 million contract, just do it while in pre-season in Toronto so it can be signed in Canadian dollars. That's like a 6 year $40million and what he is really worth.
  16. Why bother with this OP? I can drop heresay and made up BS from a text message and tell you that we just traded Edwards for Brady...but I know it's a lie so I don't. Peters may be traded, but I hope not. He can be an invaluable asset for this year with Edwards in his third season playing pivot needing some protection so he stays there instead of on the back of a cart pulling him off the field. He needs a smack upside the head for his unreasonable demands and his second contract holdout in as many years, but that doesn't negate the fact that he is a top flight LT in this league. DazedandConfused has it right.
  17. Scheffler would make me happy. He's no Tony, but he's no Rob Royal either. We're not taking Pettigrew in the 1st, he'll be gone in the 2nd, so let's pick Scheffler up with that 3rd rounder. Methinks it's a plan!
