That 2014 team was the best since 99 IMO. That team was built to win and was playing great by year end. Too bad we hired Rex and didn't keep all the talent together. Doug stocked the shelves with truffles and fois gras galore, but Rex burned the meal and nearly burned down the restaurant. !@#$ Rex. Doug got mother!@#$ed by Rex

or we have 10 minute TD drives to run out game. For all this talk about it being a QB league- where is the scoring? Where are the huge WR stats? AJ and Julio each had a huge game. There were not many others this season. Not compared to the past 10. There are all these ticky tack penalties called. They try and handcuff CBs as much as they can and yet the scoring is not there. I say BS it is a QB league. It helps. But it is not the be all, end all. Give me playmakers. Give me balance and depth. Give me two good lines and a great defense and special teams.

wouldn't that be Buffalo's luck? Please let us win the lottery -
Would this regime survive a trade up miss at QB?
Pete replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
sure it does. No doubt Grigson sucked at GM. But we would give up all those draft picks for a lottery ticket and not have any high draft picks for two season. Grigson also drafted TY Hilton, so without 1,1,1,2,2 we are 0-5 with opportunity cost. Grigson +1 for TY -
Ragnow at 56 is a steal. I bet he goes late 1st round

I shall- 1st round pick for Rob Johnson 1st round pick for JP Losman 1st round pick Drew Bledsoe 0-3 - we were better off using picks at other positions the best QB the Bills have had this millennium has been a 5" 10 NFL castoff via CFL -
Would this regime survive a trade up miss at QB?
Pete replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. If we trade all those picks and don't hit on QB- we are set back at least 3 seasons IMO. We will be a top 5 pick if we trade for QB IMO. Whichever QB we draft- they won't help us much in 2018. And we still have glaring holes at LG C RG RT SAM MLB WR CB. But I read all that matters is the QB. Forget about depth and quality offense, defense, and special teams -

you are making the assumption that the QB will not be Blake Bortles or Mark Sanchez. Instead of putting all my eggs in one basket- I keep all my picks and thus have more chances to hit on -

our oline is a mess, as are our linebackers and wide receivers. We could use CB depth. If we trade both 1s, both 2s, and next years 1(which will be top 5 IMO if we trade all that) that will set back Buffalo 3 years at the very least IMO Lamar Jackson in 2019 Like who in 2019 for C? For G? For WR? For MLB? For OLB? For CB? -

so build a complete team this draft and overpay for QB next year. Lamar Jackson and MLB, G, WR, C, CB and $100M in 2019 sounds like an incredible future to me for our Bills! -

Just remember when trading all those picks going all in on QB could possibly cost us Ed Oliver next season. Not to mention no quality help at WR, Oline, MLB for a long time. I am just saying -

Mark Sanchez suspended 1st 4 games of season

lets trade both first round picksand next years number 1 and both second round picks for Sanchez! Look at this writeup -just what we need at QB- he has a great writeup - so he must be worth trading all those picks! 6'2"HEIGHT 227LBS.WEIGHT ANALYSIS STRENGTHS Positives: Ascending talent whose intangibles for the position are just as impressive as his physical tools. ... Cerebral. ... Reads defenses well and rarely throws into coverage. ... Goes through his progression quickly and takes what the defense gives him. ... Recognizes the blitz very well for a player of his experience and often targets the defenses' weak link when being blitzed. ... Good setup and a smooth, over-the-top delivery. ... Legitimate NFL arm strength. ... Capable of making every NFL throw, including the deep ball. ... Rather than relying on pure arm strength, Sanchez combines good velocity with rare anticipation, especially for a player of his limited experience. ... Consistently releases his passes before his receivers have even made their breaks, giving the defense little time to react. ... Distributes the ball all over the field. ... Good short-, medium-, and long-range accuracy. ... Consistently places his passes where only his receiver can get it and throws a very catchable ball. ... When healthy, showed very surprising mobility for his size. ... Can evade the pass rush and will scramble if the defense gives free yards. ... Rare accuracy on the rollout. ... Squares his shoulders and can fire the ball with consistency and accuracy. ... Team captain. ... Blue-collar work ethic. -
P51 - Positional top 10 rankings and Top 55 Big Board and 3 Mocks Drafts.

2 of Chubb, Mata'afa and Miller at 53 and 56 would be larceny IMO. I would be pumped if we could land 2 of them in round 2! -
51-3 Bills whoop ass over Raiders to go to our first Superbowl! I went with a beautiful exgirlfriend and we had an incredible week! I visited my old neighborhood and gave her the tour of Buffalo, Toronto, and the falls. 51-3 was particularly sweet, especially after 0-70's against the Dolphins, 2-14 season after season, and hank bullough

Luke Easterling's Final 2018 Draft Board

I love the talent in the second round! Give me more 2nd round picks! I want more! -
Yes. The argument I always hear from Bills fans is we don't draft QBs, which I agree is not good. But this year the argument is we need to trade all top draft assets the next two seasons and get a QB. To me that is myopic. We almost beat Jacksonville in playoffs with Tyrod. This could be the best Bills draft since the late 80's. Two 1sts, two 2nds, 2 3rds- a stacked 2019 draft class and a deep 2018 draft class, and cap room next season. IMO Darnold and Mayfield are two best by a decent margin. Then Rosen, then Allen. If we could draft one with a trade up to 7, I am down. But the strength of this draft is RB, DL, interior OL, LB- which we could use 1 or 2 of each, and next years draft is even better. As always, I advocate BPA, and multiple trade downs- load up on top 50 picks and 2019 draft picks in a loaded class oh yeah, to answer the question- yes I absolutely draft Lamar Jackson. He could be the steal of the draft for QBs IMO

No Nick Chubb, Hercules Mata'afa or Anthony Miller in top 50? -
I think we will trade down for more picks, especially if we trade up from 12. The scouts keep saying there is not much difference between picks 22-50 in terms of grade. It makes a lot of sense to stockpile top 50 picks. 12 and 21 would fetch a lot more then 4 second round picks
