  1. And if there is a QB run as expected and we are shut out of top 5- I am ok with Derwin James at 12 and Vander Esch or Rashan Evans at 22. Then stockpiling offense He is not a 1990's hybrid. He is more of a swiss army knife. He can match up with Gronk or AJ Green or Kamara. He can line up outside, inside, at LB. He can blitz, and he can bring it. He would instantly make our defense much better
  2. I agree. LB and QB are two biggest needs on this team. But CB is up there too. Brace yourself, because we will draft one high IMO
  3. NFL teams run the nickel as a base defense 65% of the time. I am ok with a nickel defense of Derwin James, Tre'Davious, Poyer, Vontae Davis, and Micah Hyde. That would be one of best in NFL
  4. There is a chance he is there at 22. And we have plenty of chips to move up to top 15 to secure Jackson if that is their dude
  5. I would consider that position too at 12. If that value is not there, I go with highest rated my board. What team could not use Patrick Peterson? We have plenty more draft picks, and maybe they like a QB outside top 4. As far as your question, open battle between AJ McCarron, whichever QB we draft, and Nathan Peterman
  6. Derwin James was a 5 star recruit who is 6'3 215 and ran a 4.7 with a 40" vertical. He is compared to Patrick Peterson and Jalen Ramsey. Not to mention, it is a position of need. This front office would be stupid not to consider him at 12
  7. It is a Buffalo Bills message board. Excuse me for expressing an opinion for discussion
  8. Derwin James is the chess piece coveted by most every team. TE's and HB's are in vogue now. And hybrid LB/S and CB/S are valued on defense. Power forwards running wheel routes- fight fire with fire
  9. I have to see photos. If those innocuous photos were the ones in question, WTF? Did the Puritans run that college?
  10. and don't charge the mound. The old man will beat up young punks that do
  11. I agree about hindsight. But I believe that history will continually show that it is wiser to trade down then trade up. Zay provides another example
  12. The Bills traded picks 44 and 91(2nd and 3rd) with Rams for 37 and 149(2nd and 5th) to draft Jones. Beane had an excellent first draft with the exception of this move IMO. Alvin Kamara, Kareem Hunt, JuJu, Cooper Kupp, Davis Webb are just a few players who we could of drafted at 44 without trading up, instead of trading up for Zay I thought Zay was a safe pick for us. But so far I concur, Zay is a bust. Hopefully he proves us wrong
  13. A backup QB(who was drafted in 2nd round) won superbowl and biggest play of the game was made by Brandon Graham. IMO the QB was good enough. But the coach was worse the Hank Bullough. You and most of the board can disagree with me about Tyrod, but I think we can all agree Rex was dog ****
  14. Off topic somewhat, but I loved the 2014 and 2015 Bills teams. IMO a good coach might have won superbowl with 2016 team. Whaley did a great job stocking fridge, but Rex burned the meal. Our pass rush is still suffering Son, I have seen most every Bills game since 1975. Did you happen to catch the Saints game last year? How about the Chargers? How about the Jets? We got ran all over. No QB will fix that
  15. Next year we might have a top 5 draft pick that we traded away if we trade into top 5
  16. we could use a QB who can throw it over the mountains. Let the record state the only QB on my board worth trading up for is Uncle Rico
  17. Stafford has strong arm no doubt, but show me a Stafford throw stronger then Rodgers at the :17 mark and the following 3 throws. A picture is worth a 1000 words. What you got?
  18. who is this top QB you speak of? Let's go on record and revisit in a few years
  19. Kordell Stewart threw one of the longest passes I have ever seen (70+ yards?). I would say Aaron Rogers has best arm in NFL today
  20. Let the record state on 3/28/18- I am extremely against trading up into top 6 for QB- and massively overpaying. The opportunity cost of squandering picks 12, 22, 53, 56, 65, 96 and a 2019 1st(which will be a high draft pick if we sacrifice drafts for a rookie QB). Impact players that the Bills could miss out on(and whom would instantly upgrade Bills starters) include: Roquan Smith, Derwin James, Vita Vea, Tremaine Edmunds, Isiah Wynn, Will Hernandez, Billy Price, Frank Ragnow, Denzel Ward, Lamar Jackson, Ronald Jones, Guice, Vander Esch, James Washington, Cortland Sutton, Mike Hughes, Nick Chubb, Marcus Davenport, Mata’afa, Rashan Evans, Taven Bryan, Harrison Phillips, Josh Jackson, Christian Kirk, Hayden Hurst, Payne, Equanemius, Baker, Sam Hubbard, Ballage, etc. We could have 7 of the above and all our draft picks. Or we can risk it all on a QB ad give all that up. Please revisit and either give me **** or give me props. Peace out
