  1. Just make sure the person you may or may not kick in the balls is Bon Jovi, and not, for example, Jane Lynch. I'm not saying that Bon Jovi looks like a lesbian- well I guess I am.
  2. Good job Razor! The "gloom and doom" brigade, however, will take umbrage with this thread. Maybe they should start yet another "Trade Stevie Johnson" thread instead.
  3. Eric Davis was great when he played center for the Reds.
  4. I'd rather the Bills drafted Zach Randolph than Zack Martin. Sure Randolph is busy with the NBA and all- but the dude's 6-9, 260 lbs! You could line him up at TE or DE and he'd be a monster. I'm kidding, of course. Martin rising up the charts shouldn't be a surprise- I saw a report yesterday that the Raiders are interested in Lewan at number 5. Tackle could be the position we see the early run on.
  5. I have one piece of advice- If you go out to Chippewa or Allen- do not grab a late-night bite to eat at Jim's Steakout. The last thing you want to do is spend the remainder of your time in Buffalo at ECMC getting your stomach pumped.
  6. I thought the "Chad Kelly" free agent thread was the nadir for TSW- this one beats that by a country mile. I can't wait for the "sign Darren Sharper to replace Byrd" thread that comes about if/when that scumbag were to be released on bail (hopefully he never will!).
  7. I think "playing it safe" could lead to Whaley/Marrone's departures, or at the very least accelerate it. If I was the new owner, and had witnessed to Bills FO pass on a playmaker like an Evans or Ebron (if they were on the board) to draft a RT like a Lewan (which would be the personification of the "safe bet" you speak of), I would be quite convinced that they didn't have the ball$ to undertake the measures necessary to field a winning team. A "safe" pick (and RT would be a safe pick) will not improve this team by leaps and bounds. Adding playmakers potentially could do exactly that. For those advocates of "power football" who think that RT is the wise move, based on the notion that the game is moving in that direction (because of the success of Seattle), I ask you one thing: can you name the starting RT for the Seahawks? And when you figure that out, the next question that should be answered is in what round was this RT drafted? Certainly not in the top 10. Who was the Bills' last "great" RT? Probably Howard Ballard- an eleventh round draft choice. Safe pick= Right Tackle. Right Tackle= another 6-10 season. Safe pick= Whaley and Marrone seeking new employment.
  8. Ding, Ding- we have a winner!
  9. I've thought the same thing. A new owner in no way will have an emotional investiture in Brandon, Whaley or Marrone. Sitting back at 9 and drafting a Lewan is not going to inspire a new owner, let alone significantly improve this team. It is time for this crew to be bold, or run the risk of seeing their tenures with the team cut short. Whaley can talk all he wants about their "blueprint"; that went out the window when Ralph passed. They have to go bold or go home. Firechan's draft would certainly be bold!
  10. I'd love to make a schneid remark about Rob Schneider- but his comedic genius is such that I just can't. His films are treasures- I celebrate his entire catalog.
  11. The only receiver expendable with the Williams acquisition is Chris Hogan- he serves no logistical purpose on the roster whatsoever. Cutting Stevie (which is a reoccurring theme on TSW) does not offer any cap relief of note (at least for 2014). Woods, Goodwin, and yes even Graham are young with upside. Bardem, Roberson and Kaufman have great size. Easley's special teams work is impressive. And even Elliott showed promise before his injury last preseason. Thusly, if there is a WR that should be jettisoned- it has to be Hogan, who is as useless as teats on a bull.
  12. He would be an asset to the organ-eye-zation.
  13. That's for sure. John Murphy was really laying it on thick on his show this evening. Yup, a right tackle in the first round- good luck "moving merchandise" Russ!!
  14. Whoa!! If you've ever read any of my posts, the last thing you could ever accuse me of would be that I'm a "Koolaid" drinker. I'm as cynical of this team as the day is long. I think Ralph's a greedy old S.O.B.; Brandon's a snake oil salesman, and Marrone is dumber than a box of rocks. And I'm a afraid that Manuel has bust written all over him. I just can't wrap my mind around the hate for Stevie and Spiller- guess I never will.
  15. What the heck's with all of these threads advocating unloading some of our best players- Stevie Johnson, Manny Lawson, now Spiller? Isn't it bad enough that the Bills just lost a Pro Bowl safety with nothing to show for it?? But yes, let's trade Stevie to Carolina; cut Lawson because he allegedly doesn't fit into Schwartz's scheme; and then dump Spiller for picks due to the fact that we signed a big back (primarily for Special Teams), which thusly means that Hackett must want to go with a "power" running game. This team can ill-afford to dump talented playmakers- do we think Dixon is a better option than Spiller? If you do you obviously have drug problem that needs to be addressed. Anyone who thinks that Rivers is a better option than Lawson obviously hasn't seen much of Rivers in Cincy or NY. And let's trade Stevie so we can see more of "The TJ Graham Show"- that'll work!!
  16. On the heels of the Caussin resigning- that would indeed be big news!!
  17. "Winter Storm Vulcan" is not to blame for Whaley's "challenging" situation. "Winter Storm Littman-Overdorf" is the problem. And that storm seems to manifest itself about this time every year.
  18. I fully expected that there would be a link in the first post to some B.S. article on buffalobills.com by Chris Brown.
  19. So the Bills acquire a former first-rounder who is viewed as a bust by his previous team. He then blossoms into a quality performer, having a breakout season. Now we should trade him??? Imagine if Bill Polian had employed such "logic" during the Super Bowl years- "Wow, we found a real diamond in the rough in this Ballard guy..let's trade him!" "Tasker was a great pickup for our team...let's trade him!" "Now that Marchibroda has left for Indy, let's contact the Colts and see if they'd be interested in acquiring some of our offensive personnel."
  20. Maybe the Bills should consider a red helmet instead.
  21. Was hoping for Oslopski, but I like this idea better. Fred Patek was a solid defensive shortstop in his day- hope he can bring that type of defense with him to the Bills.
  22. Isn't the greater need for the defense a wide-body DT? Imagine having a Pat Williams-type in the middle of that front? This has been my constant gripe since the Bills chose to let Fat Pat leave.
  23. "The Springfield Nuclear Power Plant". Team is owned by a geriatric miser (Monty Burns=Ralph Wilson), and run by his sycophantic lackey (Smithers=Brandon).
  24. I believe this same mantra was probably posted about Losman as well
