  1. For a moment I was excited- I thought we'd traded for Cordarrelle Patterson. I guess Cordell Roberson (whoever he is) will have to do.
  2. It's like watching a special on the History Channel about the Kennedy assassination that promises "new evidence", only to in the end state that "Oswald probably acted alone". Just a waste of time
  3. I remember when Kelso used to play with a pumpkin on his head. Didn't help him in the slightest bit. I'll give Gilmore the benefit of the doubt.
  4. The notion of Kolb having the Bills "on track for the playoffs" made me laugh out loud.
  5. I've gotten so I refuse to come on TBD during the game. In the past (including this year), coming to the site and perusing the posts (and shoutbox) has been cringe-inducing. I find it's actually more enjoyable to watch the game without being deflated by the angst, panic and dubiety that is ever-present on TSW during the game.
  6. The Patriots just got screwed on a call that typically is only made against the Bills.
  7. Andrew Luck is proof that humans have evolved from monkeys. Tom Brady is phenomenal. Kyle Williams is the reason the Bills struggle stopping the run (he should be used on passing downs only). Geno Smith may end up becoming a better QB than Manuel, but I would rather have EJ. Smith is a punk, through and through. Someone needs to knock him on his punk ass. Russ Brandon is a snake oil salesman. The "analytics" BS is but one example of why this guy's a charlatan.
  8. Mike Schopp is a very good radio host. He doesn't tolerate stupidity on the part of those who call in- and I can't say that I blame him. Bulldog, on the other hand, has no business being in the profession. I used to be a huge Sabres fan. But I am getting a kick out of the fact that they suck so bad. Buffalo is, and always will be, a football town.
  9. Chan Gailey was an offensive genius (imagine how Manuel would be progressing under his watch). John Murphy is an awful play-by-play announcer. Mark Kelso was embarrassing to watch as a player (with that ridiculous Rick Moranis "Space Balls" helmet), and he's an embarrassment as a color commentator. Jason Simpson killed Ron and Nicole. Marv Levy was a hell of a coach. Marrone comes across as a total dimwit. Eric Wood is light-years better than Andy Levitre could ever hope to be. Stevie Johnson is the second best receiver in franchise history (behind only Reed). Kent Hull probably used steroids. Ted Washington is the most under-appreciated player in Bills history. Marcell Dareus is a beast. Kenneth Davis was better than Thurman. TJ Graham has real potential.
  10. The Stevie "haters" are hoping this is the beginning of his decline. But even if Johnson ends up with 70 catches for 1000 yards or so, the haters will hate.
  11. It's easily understood how Buddy missed on Foster- he went to Washington. However, Houston went to Georgia. Under Nix the Bills seemed to only draft players from south of the Mason-Dixon line; so how they missed on Houston is a head scratcher (of course Sheppard went to LSU- guess Buddy and the scouts must have seen more LSU games that season).
  12. Typically I'm an unabashed optimist regarding this team. But this signing confounds me. I wasn't exactly keen on the idea of signing Freeman either (he's never impressed me). But my feeling is that if Manuel misses 2 games, the Bills will be 2-5 when he returns. If he misses 4 games, the record will be 2-7. But of the options out there (admittedly few), signing Pat White is quite bad. Yes, he had a decent preseason. But the fact remains that White is a joke. His "career" has been a joke. He's a blight on the Hall of Fame legacy of Bill Parcells. They might has well signed Tebow. Same type of QB- can run but neither can hit the broad side of a barn from 20 yards throwing the ball. I guess our only option IS to run the option.
  13. I guess if the Bills can get a 4th for Byrd, they should just do it and be done with it. The season appears to be circling the drain anyhow.
  14. Rumor has is that when Kobb's wife starts the microwave with him in the room, he pisses himself and forgets who he is for half an hour
  15. I'm not impressed by the Bengals either. Problem is- we don't have a QB. Tough to win without one.
  16. I'd rather have a 44 year old Favre than White. Gonna be a long year
  17. I actually haven't had a problem with Hackett's approach. Yes it's been conservative, bordering on fundamentally-unimaginative. But instead of tossing the rookie in the deep end of the pool, they're easing him in- first a toe, than the foot, etc.,etc. Now is where the staff will earn their keep. Bringing in a QB to potentially start without much time to become acclimated with the scheme- tough challenge. But better to bring in some new blood than witness the Tuel-wreck of last night again.
  18. Gimme a break! This loss is on Russ. They have 20 million of cap space. They want to win- but win on the cheap. Tuel sucks- practice squad at best. You can't defend suck!
  19. There is no problem with Bills fans! They are a passionate, loyal group that supports their team through thick and thin (and it's been all the latter and none of the former for the last decade-plus). The problem is the Bills organization, plain and simple. The Bills are like Ebenezer Scrooge, the fans are poor old Bob Cratchit. Scrooge expects Bob to be there every game to fill his (the county's) stadium. When the team sucks, and Cratchit fails to fill it to capacity, Scrooge goes on WGR and pisses and moans about having to move "merchandise", i.e. sell tickets. He gives Bob Cratchit the guilt trip. You want that stadium filled to the brim Ebenezer? Put a quality product on the field- not a team lacking depth in spite of the fact that your 20 million under the cap.
  20. Whaley needs to call SD immediately. We can trade them Colin Brown in exchange for a couple of fish tacos.
  21. Not worried about Spillar. Manual will take pressure off of him. Plus, Fred Jacksen is an outstanding backup option.
  22. Great to see Manuel (and Tuel) working it. Better than Rob Johnson speeding out of stadium to get home to his hot tub, or Trent Edwards leaving ASAP to get back to his place to chill out in his Dakota Fanning-themed "man cave".
  23. Had high hopes for Copeland. Didn't exactly turn out well. Guess that's been a reoccurring theme for the last 15-20 years.
