  1. Aaron Donald. I've been thinking that for a few weeks now.
  2. I've been thinking for weeks the Bills could be "lying in the weeds" for Aaron Donald, as I think he's one of the best players in the draft. He's a tweener in size between DT/DE but who cares. If they do draft him theres a lot of ways they can use him.
  3. Heard on Sirius NFL that the Bills are attending his pro-day. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif http://www.montrealg...2921/story.html
  4. Gotta keep Carpenter and revisit Hopkins on the off-season. If they IR Hopkins they can use the roster spot for Thad Lewis, no?
  5. I'd like to see the Bills trade back and get extra picks, but I think the Jets are going to be a problem. If they have #9 and #13 (Revis trade) I would think one of those picks will be a QB for them. This is not the time to fool around.
  6. I would either take a QB at #8, and if it doesn't look like its going to work out during the year, you do it again with a better QB class next year. Better yet, I'd actually trade down in the 1st, draft whomever is left. Six picks doesn't cut it with the needs this team has.
  7. According to the draft value chart we'd probably owe Minny a 4th. http://walterfootball.com/draftchart.php I'd make that trade though. I think Buddy overvalues the draft board and staying put. If you "stay with the board" there is always players you have ranked and you take the appropriate ones at #23 & #25. With only six picks in the draft I think the Bills need to try and maximize their return. Once you get outside the top 5 the draft is a crapshoot anyway, especially this one.
  8. I had to say CB. Gilmore is the only real starter; McGee should retire, Williams can't play, McKelvin is unrestricted, and that leaves unproven Ron Brooks and Justin Rogers. Having said that imagine if we were able to draft Kuechly last year. Gilmore was a good pick I think though. 1. DB 2. LB 3. QB
  9. I had the same thought about Massey last night. Hairston/Glenn/Pears and then Massey would be a solid group to work with. I don't know about Sam Young---I don't think he's ever played. Cousins might be the best available in 4th at Bills pick. I don't see anyone ahead of us taking him unless there is a trade-up. Alfonzo Dennard the CB from Nebraska is still available, what's the story with him? The highest graded player available other than Massie.
  10. In any draft take where you think a QB SHOULD be drafted and move him up a round, maybe a round and a half. If you want Wilson you'll have to probably take him in the 3rd. Take the height issue away he's probably the 4th best QB prospect.
  11. I think that's exactly it. There's usually 4 to 6 slam-dunk blue chip players in every draft you would be crazy not to pick. After that is the temptation to reach for need vs. best player/value on the draft board. I have a feeling the Bills will have a lot of DE's staring them in the face where they now already filled via free-agency.
  12. A good rule of thumb in playing NFL Draft poker: create artificial demand for a pick in case you need to trade back and pick up and extra pick or two that you seek.
