Cornerback - Who stays and who goes?
papazoid replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
not for sure McGee comes back healthy.... http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/bills-nfl/article840916.ece?twobillsdrive -
the one injury we can least afford, is to our starting QB.....we could take a single hit to any other group and still be ok. after QB, then i would say Stevie Johnson and the WR group. i'm not saying these are our best players, just the ones that would be the hardest to replace.

but Lionel Dotson really likes his number 97.....and he has about as much claim to his number as kelsay. i would cut Kelsay....i have never liked his play on the field and now he is replaceable....besides, he is very overpaid (9/29/2010: Signed a five-year, $28.2 million contract. The deal contains $11 million in bonus money. 2012: $3.5 million, 2013: $3.725 million, 2014: $3.745 million, 2015: Free Agent). i'm not starting off the "mario" era by not giving him the number he wants....of course mario prefers to not make a fuss....but you know he wants it. -

Love The Draft But Fitz Still Holds Key
papazoid replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
actually, i think Kyle Williams is the key.....if he gets back to 100%....then our defense will be much improved. i have every confidence that fitz will be healthy and play like he did before the cracked ribs. -
GB just stole a QB we could have developed
papazoid replied to biggerdaddynj's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What he brings: He has the prototypical size and arm strength to make all the throws at the NFL level. He needs to improve his internal clock to succeed as he lacks the ability to buy time both within and outside of the pocket. -
i love what the colts did.....especially Fleener......but they will still struggle...big time. in fact, they will likely have the #1 pick again.

Bills looking to make move up for Matt Kalil? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8289d0f6/article/bills-looking-to-make-move-up-for-matt-kalil?module=HP11_headline_stack -

Bills want to trade up or down for a left tackle: The source explains that, as Silva pointed out earlier tonight, the Bills would like to move up to get USC left tackle Matt Kalil. In the event they can’t, the Bills want to trade down — since they don’t regard any of the other left tackle prospects as worthy of a top-10 pick. That’s why the Bills are being linked to safety Mark Barron. Buffalo hopes that someone will want to move up to get Barron at No. 10, so that the Bills can slide down and get a left tackle later. And so someone other than Nix is putting out the word that Barron may be the pick. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/04/25/bills-want-to-trade-up-or-down-for-a-left-tackle/ -

i have a hard time believing that the bills own chris brown would pick Mark Barron in his mock draft, "if" the bills were really interested in him. i think the bills are trying to get dallas or philly to bite on a trade of draft picks. -
also Kuechly is 30 lbs heavier but just as fast as barron.

On ESPN Tuesday night, draft analyst Todd McShay suggested Barron as a sneaky option for the Bills because he can match up in pass coverage with division-rival tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez. Former Colts president Bill Polian shot McShay down, referring to Barron as a “box safety” who plugs the run but struggles in coverage. i trust polian alot more than mcshay.... heres a video of Barron vs LSU: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmCuQt-sryE

TRADE VALUE: #7 - 1,500 pts #10- 1,300 pts #41- 480 pts (2nd) #74- 220 pts (3rd) #106- 82 pts (4th) YES, i would give up #10 & #41 to get Kalil, although that price is a lil high,i'd prefer to give #10,#74 & #106.

More than a third of safeties selected early have made the trip to the Pro Bowl on more than one occasion. Given this track record, the teams taking a look at Alabama safety Mark Barron should feel good about his future. While the sample sizes aren't huge for interior offensive linemen, those who have been good enough to warrant selection in the first round over the last 10 years have generally not disappointed. That's a strong indicator for teams eyeing players at these positions with first-round grades this year such as Stanford guard David DeCastro, Georgia guard Cordy Glenn and Wisconsin center Peter Konz. Here are first-round picks from the last 10 years who made more than one Pro Bowl appearance: Quarterbacks: 6 of 30 = 20 percent Running Backs: 4 of 27 = 14.8 percent Wide Receivers: 4 of 37 = 10.8 percent Tight Ends: 1 of 13 = 7.6 percent Offensive Tackles: 5 of 37 = 13.5 percent Centers: 2 of 7 = 28.5 percent Guards: 3 of 7 = 42.8 percent Defensive Ends: 4 of 41 = 9.7 percent Defensive Tackles: 6 of 33 = 18.1 percent Linebackers: 8 of 32 = 25.0 percent Cornerbacks: 6 of 39 = 15.3 percent Safeties: 6 of 16 = 37.5 percent Read more: http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2012-04-22/nfl-draft-2012-first-round-disappointments#ixzz1ssq8qFIE

"self control".....if a person doesn't have enough self control ....then maybe they dont study the playbook so hard...or don't control their weight.....etc.... or go on to commit more serious infractions....it's a huge red flag. -

i agree with ya......sounds like he's trying to get those in front of him to think twice about drafting tannehill.....probably hoping he is there at #11......KC is not sold on Cassel.
