  1. TURNOVERS......this week plus 3....last week minus 3.
  2. i am being sarcastic......(just in case anyone missed that).
  3. what a "homer".....tripping over himself saying nice things about the bills.... Well, I'm finally seeing what Nix had in mind when he handed C.J. Spiller's name to the commissioner in April 2010. Two weeks into his third pro season, Spiller is showing the full array of talents that infatuated Buffalo's personnel men when he was running rings around college defenders at Clemson. On Sunday at Ralph Wilson Stadium, with his team desperate for a victory and missing two of its top offensive weapons, Spiller played the role of NFL star to the hilt. He had 170 total yards - 139 in the first half alone - and two touchdowns as the Bills rolled over the Chiefs, 35-17. Spiller is the first NFL player to average 10 yards a rush through the first two weeks of the season (minimum 25 carries) since Jim Brown in 1963. OK, the superstar talk is a little premature. But that's pretty lofty company. http://www.buffalonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20120916/SPORTS/120919220/1004
  4. traffic is the problem !!!.....i have written to the bills with no success.....at least at mckinley & southwestern, the erie county sheriff's traffic control does not start until literally the final gun....they just sit in their cars til then.....by then the bottleneck has already built up ands its too late. if they started working again , say at the end of the 3rd qtr, folks wouldn't get stuck in traffic for an extra hour.
  5. with Toronto we are the 4th largest NFL market..... without Toronto will be the 2nd largest market when they relocate to L.A. embrace our friends from the north.....it is the key to keeping the name BUFFALO if front of BILLS. eventually the league will move to 18 regular season games with 9 home games ( 7 in buffalo & 2 in Toronto). the 2 in toronto will be late season games that dont sellout here anyways.
  6. join a fantasy league and get some additional new favorite players...
  7. newest hottest restaurant in town is Mike A's at the Lafayette (pricey) http://www.buffalonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20120914/GUSTO/120919527/1031 if you want to be wow'd reasonable: #1- Hutch's on Delaware #2- Left Bank on Rhode Island
  8. ABSOLUTELY YES......berry has been chirping since it happened......i dare say there will be a bounty...err incentive.....errr money on the board.....errr reward.....errr money on the floor.....
  9. i dont think the bills are going anywhere..... having said that, if the bills are worth $820 million (Forbes) in buffalo, the same franchise is probably worth 50% more ($1.2 Billion) in Los Angeles. some penalty/poison pill of $100-200 million is not going stop a group from buying and moving the team. as long as we support our team.... demonstrated by attendance.....this team goes nowhere..... including toronto, we are the 4th largest market in the NFL. that is good enough to keep it here.
  10. it seems unlikely ralph would not pass along his wealth to his immediate family and future generations. ralph does have a plan....to have his estate sell to the highest bidder.... although anything is possible.... i still feel our bills are going nowhere.
  11. all you need is every man, women and child living in erie county (est 1,000,000) to come up with $1,000 each.
  12. my wild guess is moonlighting some "game worn" jerseys ...
  13. Aaron Rodgers, the league MVP, says illegal contact rule isn’t being enforced the right way. is he a crybaby too ?? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/09/13/rodgers-says-illegal-contact-rule-isnt-being-enforced-the-right-way/
  14. yes...quality of life......course, i'm a +26 year season ticket holder......cant think of too many other activities where me, my wife and son can spend time together either at a game live or around the television where everyone is actually enjoying it. hard to be in any social setting, friends or business, without the topic of the bills coming up. sure, it hurts when when lose, but our day will come again....i'll try not to overstate this, but if the bills ever left town, it would be the final nail in the coffin for this area, for many many people....
  15. interesting read...... Are the large public expenditures on new stadiums a good investment for cities? Does hosting a major sports team have benefits? Although public subsidies for professional sports teams are controversial, the answer to these questions may well be yes. In this article, Jerry Carlino and Ed Coulson report the results of their 2003 study: When quality-of-life benefits are included in the calculation, building new stadiums and hosting an NFL franchise may indeed be a good deal for cities and their residents. http://www.phil.frb.org/research-and-data/publications/business-review/2004/q2/brq204jc.pdf
  16. his name was in the title of the article: "Jerry Sullivan: Super Mario gets a reality check"..... fact: super mario got DOMINATED by a no name player..... fact: Rodney Harrison & Damien Woody were alot harsher on mario than jerry was. fact: mario will respond, he is to good of a player. analogy: the bills Fitzpatrick was the least sacked QB in the league last year.....NOT because we have the best O-line......but because fitz threw the ball in under 3 seconds most times......the jets and sanchez used the same strategy against us.
  17. John Wawrow is one of the crown jewels of Two Bills Drive......unlike most in here, his sources are first hand....he talks directly to the decision makers. i assume you know he is an Associated Press (AP) writer. i think it is shameful the way some folks treat others.
  18. at the earliest, chit will hit the fan during the bye week......barring injury, the bills do not give up on fitz til then, even if we are 2-5. besides, it will probably take that long for TJ to learn megaminds playbook.
  19. lets say that erie county would get back $100 million if a team left before the 15 years is up. lets assume that Forbes value for the bills is correct at $820 million. do you really think an ownership group from L.A. would not be willing to eat that penalty and pay $920 ???.....any so called penatly/poison pill is MEANINGLESS !!!......having said that, our Bills are going nowhere !!!
  20. it's very political.....bottom line, poloncarz is beholding to len lenihan......their preferred erie county democratic chairmen is a lenihan guy.....that is in direct opposition to coumo's choice.....thereore, poloncarz is on cuomo's chit list....it has effected poloncarz's fund raising events and the bills lease.
  21. still master of my domain....
  22. poloncarz is in a political pickle.....he is in the dog house with govenor coumo for NOT supporting coumo's choice (masiello) for the next erie county democratic chairman. no bills deal gets done without coumo.
  23. crybaby ?????.....because, like many others, he pointed out the replacement refs missed some calls ?...not in my book...maybe a little frustrated, because he got dominated, plain and simple......from a backup no less.... i say he responds on the field, he is to good of a player.
  24. step away from the ledge......our beloved are going nowhere......
