Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was arrested over the weekend in Oakland, Calif., for suspicion of driving under the influence, the San Jose Mercury News and KGO-TV in San Francisco are reporting. The newspaper, citing a sheriff's spokesman, reports the former Cal football player was arrested Saturday night and taken to Santa Rita County Jail. The Mercury News reports Lynch was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol. http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2012-07-17/marshawn-lynch-seattle-seahawks-dui-nfl

not to get off track....but,the "bottleneck" is with U.S. & Canadian Custom Agents. the bridges are not properly staffed with inspection officers, especially during bills games. when a bridge becomes a defacto parking lot, it's not an infrastructure issue (roads, bridges & toll booths). our area is already serviced by the Peace, Rainbow, Lewiston-Queenston & Whirlpool Bridges.

Will Shawne Merriman End the Season on I.R.?

i'm going the other way this season (last year i dogged him constantly about getting injured).....i say he stays reasonably healthy this season. -
let him stay home and rot....

the average NFL game has only 11 minutes of action (start of play to whistle). the rest of the 3 hours is walking back to huddle, replays and commercials. i'm a big fan of the Red Zone.....they show constant action from several games , all commercial free.

based on his body of work from last year...#24 is fair. no sympathy points for playing with a cracked rib. based on my future prediction....i say he is #15 after this season.

Here's what we know about the Buffalo Bills quarterback position: 1. Ryan Fitzpatrick is paid like a franchise quarterback. Despite his struggles at the end of last season, he's going to be treated like an entrenched starter, unless he massively struggles this offseason. 2. Brad Smith has worked out almost exclusively at quarterback this offseason. (On Friday, he was at receiver.) Tim Graham of the Buffalo News passed along word Friday that coach Chan Gailey plans to use Smith as the team's No. 3 quarterback this year. 3. Gailey confirmed that the team will still use plenty of Wildcat offense with Smith at the helm. 4. Vince Young and Tyler Thigpen are battling for the backup job. With Smith's spot as the No. 3 quarterback secure, it doesn't take a genius to realize that the loser of the Thigpen/Young will be out of a job. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d829dd9c4/article/vince-young-tyler-thigpen-battle-for-bills-backup-role?module=HP11_headline_stack

whatever he got upfront as a signing bonus that was prorated over the life of the contract and had not been fully charged against the cap would be on the bills. -

Who's Your Biggest Bills Creep of All Time ??
papazoid replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
define "creep" ?? i bet that word means something different to alot of people.... STANDARD DICTIONARY: 1. to move slowly with the body close to the ground, as a reptile or an insect, or a person on hands and knees. 2. to approach slowly, imperceptibly, or stealthily (often followed by up ): We crept up and peeked over the wall. 3. to move or advance slowly or gradually: The automobile crept up the hill. Time just seems to creep along on these hot summer days. 4. to sneak up behind someone or without someone's knowledge (usually followed by up on ): The prisoners crept up on the guard and knocked him out. 5. to enter or become evident inconspicuously, gradually, or insidiously (often followed by in or into: ) The writer's personal bias occasionally creeps into the account. 6. In materials science, creep is the tendency of a solid material to move slowly or deform permanently under the influence of stresses. 7. Slang. An annoyingly unpleasant or repulsive person. URBAN DICTIONARY: 1. creep: 1950's word used by women to decribe an undesirable man. "He is such a creep. Who would want to go out with him?" 2. creep: Drive or move slowly on foot, on the way to do an illegal job. "Let's creep on this guy." "Let's creep around to the back entry." 3. creep: a dude that trys way to hard with chicks, usually younger chicks. Also usually waits till the chicks are !@#$ed up to take advantage of them Yo what the heck ebert is such a creep I'M GOING TO ASSUME YOU ARE USING IT AS SLANG "An annoyingly unpleasant or repulsive person" #1- O. J. Simpson #2- Jim Kelly #3- Marshawn Lynch #4- Willis McGahee #5- Travis Henry -

yawn, cancel the game. nothing they can do to incentivize the game will outweigh the players fear of getting injured in a meaningless game. most of these guys are making $500,000 to $1 million PER GAME.....making $50-100,000 is chump change. some of these guys are also about to become free agents who will not want to risk injury. i think an ESPY/ACADEMY AWARDS type show done during the off week just prior to the super bowl, in the same city where the super bowl is being played where all the media in the world is already assembled, makes the most sense to me. then even the players who are in the super bowl game itself can attend and be recognized instead of 4th & 5th alternates getting in.

Kelsay is the 5th highest salary cap player on the team. he wouldn't even make my top ten best player list of current bills. he is overpaid. at best he is mediocre (he did have one great game vs denver). the fact he is even in the discussion for a starting role reflects badly on depth at that position. i'd cut him if it was up to me....i'd rather use that money signing players to extensions like wood & levitre. hopefully his injuries have healed and he will benifit from Mario on the other side. i would love for him to prove me wrong.

What's in it for Rogers Communications?
papazoid replied to Rivermont Mike's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
whats in it for Rogers Communications ?....just to name a few..... #1- Branding - Consumers are always willing to buy products they know and trust. A strong, well defined brand, gives you a competitive advantage in the market. It allows you to charge more for your product, knowing that consumers will remain loyal, and buy it at the higher cost. co-branding with the NFL is a no-brainer. #2- Advertising - the toronto sports pages and airwaves are filled with content mentioning Rogers Communication with anything associated with the Buffalo Bills....most of it at no cost to rogers. #3- Future Ownership - they are in the business owning of sports properties. at minimum, i'm quite sure they will be active bidders when the team comes up for sale. who knows, they may already enjoy a right of first refusal to match any and all offers.
