Source: NFL Network to drop bankrupt Sapp A bad week for NFL analyst Warren Sapp was tipped to get worse, with a report indicating the bankrupt former defensive tackle will be ditched from his TV analyst gig. The NFL Network was expected to drop Sapp in the wake of his comments over the Saints bounty scandal, The Boston Globe reported Sunday, citing two league sources. Sapp's contract expires in August and is not expected to be renewed, a source told the Globe. Although a network spokesman refused to discuss his status, another source confirmed to the newspaper that Sapp was yet to be booked in for another on-air appearance. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/nfl-network-to-drop-bankrupt-analyst-warren-sapp-040812

Vikings willing to trade 3rd pick
papazoid replied to BillsInMaine's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
#3 overall 2,200 pts #10 overall 1,300 pts difference 900 pts our 2nd (#42) 480 pts our 3rd (#74) 220 pts our 4th (#102) 86 pts total 786 pts....close enough...... throw in another 4th if you insist. next years #1 - i'm gonna say 16th overall (1,000 pts). btw- your giving up a draft pick...NOT the salary cap space.....in lieu of the draft choice you can use that money on a free agent...... -
Vikings willing to trade 3rd pick

i would give our 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th round picks in this years draft or this years #1 and next years #1 to move up to #3 in this years draft and take Kalil. i think Kalil is the surest/safest player in this draft. -
Mel Kiper's latest comment on Glenn: Huge but pretty good on his feet, Glenn is a versatile lineman. He's played all over and could be on some boards as a tackle, but can dominate at guard, and I'd expect whoever drafts him to ultimately have him blocking inside.

i bet he names jaremy shockey as a creditor in a pre-emptive move......it's the only thing that makes sense.....the diff between his assets and liabilities is not that great.

Warren Sapp, a future Hall of Famer and current NFL Network analyst, has filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in Florida on claims he racked up millions in debt to several creditors. Sapp owes more than $6.7 million in debt to creditors and back child support and alimony. The outstanding amount outweighs Sapp’s 6.45 million in assets, which will be liquidated as a result of his filing for Chapter 7. Sapp lists his current income as $45,000 per month from NFL Network. His contract with the network expires in August 2012. Over a 12-year NFL career, Sapp made well over $40 million with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders Read more: http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2012-04-06/warren-sapp-files-for-chapter-7-bankruptcy-tampa-bay-buccaneers-oakland-raiders#ixzz1rJXJIjVU

i understand what your trying to say. but the reality (at least to my way of thinking) is that we will not be fighting for a playoff spot (i predict 8-8)....and even if we were....the stadium will not be full. most women will not go to decembers games plain and simple. also i remind you that even after the bills offered significant discounts on bills tickets for all three december games, they had the following attendance: 12/1 vs TENN 56,463 12/18 vs MIA 60,988 12/24 vs DEN 45,112 i was at all those games and it looked alot less than that.
-
advantage when the stadium is half full ?.....thats a disadvantage. even the great teams of the early 90's didn't sell out december games.....and actual attendance is way less than tickets sold. speaking for myself as a fan, i hate sitting in the freezing cold (sux getting old). also, december games have significantly less re-sale value on the ticketexchange/stub hub market. wish they'd give Toronto a december game every year.

3 december home games in a row ??.....yuk !!!

Michael Floyd looks like Top 10 pick at Notre Dame Pro Day At Notre Dame’s Pro Day, Floyd put on a performance that firmly establishes him as the No. 2 receiver in this year’s NFL draft, just behind Oklahoma State’s Justin Blackmon. NFL Network’s Mike Mayock, who saw plenty of Floyd while calling Notre Dame games on NBC, liked what he saw on the field and liked what he saw at Notre Dame’s practice facility today. “Michael Floyd, to me, had an excellent workout,” Mayock said on Path to the Draft. “What you get with Michael Floyd, you get a 6-foot-3, 220-pound wide receiver who gets tremendous breaks in and out. His explosion off the line of scrimmage is exceptional — I would compare it to Blackmon.” Most projections have Blackmon off the board somewhere in the 3-6 range, and Mayock said he sees Floyd going shortly after that. “I think the interest should start at No. 7 with Jacksonville, Miami at 8, Carolina at 9, Buffalo at 10,” Mayock said. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/04/03/michael-floyd-looks-like-top-10-pick-at-notre-dame-pro-day/

It’s been a bad week for the Lions. A day after 2011 second-round draft pick Mikel Leshoure made the wrong kind of headlines for, among other things, allegedly treating “wacky tobacky” like chewing tobacco, 2011 first-round pick Nick Fairley has been arrested for marijuana possession. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/04/03/nick-fairley-arrested-for-marijuana-possession/

CJ or Fred? You can only keep one
papazoid replied to FrankReichComeback's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if i'm the GM of the Bills....i have to take into consideration my mediocre at best, offensive line. fred jackson is a league leader in YAC yards after contact.....spiller goes down on first contact. freddy is and will continue to be a better all around back than spiller for at least the next 3 seasons. having said that, i would probably call freddy my starter for this season 2012 and next 2013. then turn the job over to spiller for his last year of his rookie contract in 2014......otherwise, you will lose C.J. in free agency for 2015. -
QB Ryan Tannehill to Bills at #10 ??
papazoid replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cosell: Tannehill throws on the run better than Luck or Griffin With talk around the NFL that Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill could be drafted as high as fourth overall to the Browns, more analysts are talking up Tannehill’s tape. And Greg Cosell of NFL Films has offered up an assessment that gives plenty of reason to like Tannehill’s chances of going very high in next month’s NFL draft. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/28/cosell-tannehill-throws-on-the-run-better-than-luck-or-griffin/
