  1. 1) Ryan Fitzpatrick (absolutely brutal) 2) Mario Williams (invisible) 3) Dave Wannstedt (got zero pressure on qb) 4) Leodis McKelvin (can't cover anyone)
  2. for the first two years of the new labor agreement, there is no minimum payroll per team.... But the 32 teams combined must spend $3.8 billion in cash (salaries and bonuses) by the end of each season. Starting in 2013, the league will return to a "cap floor" per TEAM ,which is set at 89 percent of the cap, no more leaguewide total.
  3. Team-by-team cap space as of September 7: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/09/08/team-by-team-cap-space-as-of-september-7/
  4. to start, Thursday night football is every week for the first 13 weeks. it was only on wed in week one as an accommodation to the presidents speech on thursday. i love thursday night football......and sunday and monday nights.....3 down, four to go.
  5. gilmore hasn't played a down......but he sure looks promising... williams is a disaster at corner....he will be a safety soon.
  6. the lifting of the suspension is TEMPORARY.......they will be suspended again at some point in the near future. the imporatant issue for the players is that most will be on the week 1 roster.....which guarantees their salary for the year. Actually, this gives Goodell and company an opportunity for a Mulligan. They can go back to square one and re-do the process in a way that will make it more likely to withstand any and all challenges, in court or otherwise. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/09/07/reinstated-players-could-end-up-suspended-again-eventually/
  7. the bills are ranked 29th of 32 the cowboys are #1 at $2.1 Billion http://www.forbes.com/nfl-valuations/list/
  8. a little sample of jimmyism.... Posted 24 October 2011 - 09:29 AM When I was a kid I used to think everything happened because of preparations. Like if you weren't ready to get slugged in the head and then I smacked you with a wrench, are you really going to blame me? You weren't ready. Now I'm older and I realize that sometimes things just happen and nobody gets the credit or the blame. The one thing that is just happening this year that is funny is that a guy that your team dumped is now like one of the best sacks artists ins football. Aaron Maybin is becoming an NFL sensational and you guys must be eating your hearts out. I think that is funny but it isn't really your fault. Some things just happens. I mean some people might think that because Rex is a defensive genius that Maybin got better. Some people might think that Maybin just didn't look good in Buffalo because he had too much pressure being a #1 and he was basically trying to do everything that the other 10 guys on the field couldn't do. Some people might say the Bills defensive coaching is like sewer system. That means crappy. Another guess is that Maybin is just someone that thrives in the big city and got depressed in a small town. All of these thing are true but I think it is just happening and not because of that stuff. Now that the season is in full swing and the Jets is on a winning streak it will be cool to see how they do after a week off and preparing the D for your offense which is doing ok. I think you will beat the Skins if Fitzsimmons isn't too preoccupied worried about the Mayhem next week. Good luck in Toronto. P.S. J-E-T-S Jets JEts JETS.
  9. i say cut brad smith......if he somehow makes the roster....he will be the worst QB on the team, he will be the worst WR on the team, he will be the worst kick returner on the team and he will be the worst RB on the team. i say they will cut thigpen too......then resign him with the intent of keeping him until tarvaris jackson knows the playbook.
  10. dwan is gone because he made too much money......next is brad smith, thigpen, mcgee.
  11. not looking good for terrence making team.... The long road to recovery for Terrence McGee coming off patellar tendon surgery saw a bump in the road after practice Monday and it kept him off the practice field Tuesday. It will also keep him out of the preseason finale Thursday night in Detroit. “Terrence had a setback yesterday,” said Gailey following Tuesday's practice. "His knee got a little weaker in practice yesterday so we’re sitting him and seeing where he goes looking into the future. He’s not going to play this week so we’ll have to see where that takes us.” http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/McGee-suffers-setback/46de1488-67b0-454a-af2f-2e7010728359?campaign=BillsBuzz
  12. hopefully this helps Mario get off to a great start.
  13. until proven otherwise....Kyle Williams is the best player on the team.
  14. Offensive core in place. Taking a step back, the deal for Hernandez secures yet another piece of the offensive nucleus in New England for the long term. Along with Hernandez and Gronkowski, the Patriots also have Tom Brady, Brandon Lloyd, Logan Mankins, Nate Solder, Dan Connolly, Stevan Ridley, Shane Vereen and Daniel Fells under contract through at least the 2014 season. The Patriots have long been able to field a competitive roster, while also keeping an eye on the future and building toward long-term consistency. This deal is another chip in place for the offense to maintain success now and going forward. http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/new-england-patriots/post/_/id/4728099/rapid-reaction-hernandez-agrees-to-deal
  15. pat williams is a free agent.....just sayin....

  17. The New England Patriots and Pro Bowl tight end Aaron Hernandez have reached agreement on a long-term contract extension, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to NFL.com and NFL Network reporter Albert Breer. A fourth-round draft pick out of the University of Florida in 2010, Hernandez has started 19 of 28 games over his first two seasons and has 124 receptions for 1,473 yards and 13 touchdowns with eight rushing attempts for 92 yards. Hernandez, who turns 23 in November, has two years remaining on his four-year, $2.785 million rookie contract. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000055251/article/aaron-hernandez-patriots-agree-to-longterm-deal?module=HP11_breaking_news
  18. nooooooooooooooooooooooooo !!!!
  19. Rebuilding/Reloading never ends.... plus the bills will be way under the cap again next year....so expect another big splash in free agency... you can lop off $35 million with some of the bigger names gone by the start of next season: merriman ($5.0 mil), kelsay ($5.0 mil), dwan edwards ($4.5 mil), spencer johnson ($4.0 mil), nick barnett ($4.0 mil), terrence mcgee ($3.8 mil), brad smith ($3.8 mil), tyler thigpen ($3.0 mil), mckelvin ($2.6 mil),
  20. i think it is significant.....gailey always telegraphs his depth chart.....i think brad smith should be cut, he is god awful throwing the football and without the real threat of throwing, the wildcat is too predictable. there are half a dozen better choices to return kickoffs. brad smith excels at nothing !!
  21. just sold my pit tix on nfl ticket exchange.....i paid $80 (sec 110), i listed em for $80, got net $72 (less 10%).....for pre-season ??....thats amazing.
  22. YES !! ...WITHOUT A DOUBT and if i was them, i'd pick Dareus, Kyle Williams and Mario Williams.
