  3. my son just texted me.....took a bus early this morning to the game....says he is tailgating with about 500 buffalo fans.....
  4. the Red Zone is about $50 for the season.....NO COMMERCIALS !!!....constant action.....they pop from game to game. my favorite channel....worth every penny. reminder : wall st journal says an nfl game averages 11 minutes of actual action.
  5. if he is the only one left after 3 games...dude is a winner.....he at least deserves a hamburger....
  6. "IF" cleveland wins.....we have a winner....the contest is over: sisypheanbills "WHEN" buffalo wins.....i count about 38 still remaining....
  7. thats not too surprising that the NFL is #1......what is surprising is what sport is #2......soccer. http://sportspath.typepad.com/files/soccer-popularity-continues-to-climb.pdf http://soccernet.espn.go.com/blog/_/name/relegationzone/id/262?cc=5901
  8. having said that..... an NFL spokesman has provided this explanation: “It was an illegal blindside block against a defenseless player. Page 67 of the rule book. Unnecessary contact against a defenseless player is prohibited. That includes ‘a player who receives a ‘blindside’ block when the blocker is moving toward or parallel to his own end line and approaches the opponent form behind or from the side.’” This year, the NFL expanded the protection to include a player who not only is moving toward his own end zone (like Lee was) but also parallel to it. If — and only if — Lee had been moving toward the Seattle end zone at the time of the contact, he would not have been protected. http://profootballta...ck-protections/
  9. i think it should be a legal hit.......tate hit him right between the numbers in his chest. looked like he tried to lead with his shoulder, with the head and shoulder making simultaneous contact. at that speed, its almost impossible to not make some contact with your helmet, even tho your trying to lead with your shoulder. i'd love to be in the room when seattle reviews the film of that hit....priceless
  10. don't forget to factor in the significant cap savings, up to this point, between peters ($10 mil/yr) vs wood ($2 mil/yr). that freed up $8 mil/yr to spend on a free agent.
  11. i dont think toronto would get a 2nd game until the nfl goes to an 18 game regular season schedule (9 home).....which will eventually happen. The Packers played part of their home slate in Milwaukee starting in 1933, including two to three home games each year in Milwaukee's County Stadium from 1953 to 1994.
  12. lost in the original mark gaughan article was info that would debunk the "ralph is cheap" crowd: Last week's column reported the current Bills' payroll stood ninth in cash spending and 10th in total contract values of all the players this year. This week, radio station 1500 ESPN in Minneapolis reported it had cumulative player spending data for the seven-year period from 2005 to 2011. This was actual money spent on players. The Bills, surprisingly, ranked 14th in the NFL, at $744 million. The data shows there was not a sure-fire link between spending and winning. Pittsburgh was 32nd over those seven years, at $621 million. The Steelers won two Super Bowls and lost another over that span. The Giants, who won in 2007 and 2011, ranked 30th at $695 million. Spending doesn't hurt, however. Super Bowl winners Indianapolis, New Orleans and Green Bay all were in the top 10 and so was perennial contender Baltimore. Here are the rankings, with the dollars in millions: 1. Minnesota, $808. 2. Oakland, $797. 3. Indianapolis, $786. 4. New Orleans, $782. 5. San Diego, $771. 6. Green Bay, $768. 7. Dallas, $760. 8. Houston, $760. 9. Miami, $760. 10. Baltimore, $750. 11. Cleveland $748. 12. Arizona, $747. 13. Atlanta, $746. 14. Buffalo, $744. 15. Jacksonville $743. 16. New England, $742. 17. Philadelphia, $741. 18. Carolina, $738. 19. St. Louis, 737. 20. Washington, $736. 21. Chicago, $733. 22. Cincinnati, $732. 23. Seattle, $731. 24. Tennessee, $719. 25. San Francisco, $718. 26. Kansas City, $717. 27. N.Y. Jets, $703. 28. Denver, $701. 29. Detroit, $679. 30. N.Y. Giants, $695. 31. Tampa $682. 32. Pittsburgh, $621.

  14. that's the spirit !!
  15. how awesome would it sound if everyone started howling like wolves after a run..... probably a little more intimidating than a snowplow noise
  16. the NFL is getting a "do over".....the judge handed them the path to make it all stick....
  17. snow plow....snow plow.....snow plow...... it's kinda catchy...lol
  18. maybe on the opening drive he saw chandler wide open.....and turned the channel right before he saw fitz throw it to the ground ????......laffin
  19. he deserves 3 threads....
  20. the ONLY reason the NFL would allow a relocation is due to lack of attendance.....any new owner needs the approval of the other owners to move. outstanding solution....
  21. toronto doesnt "tie" or force a new owner to keep the bills here. having toronto does make this franchise far more attractive and valuable. as previously stated, with toronto we are the 4th largest nfl maket.....the 4th !!!!......toronto/ontatio has already surpassed rochester in season ticket sales and the upside is far greater, we are just starting to penetrate that market.
  22. i'm with you.....if i can make a golf analogy.....it's like when a guy switches swing coaches......your kind of starting over and it takes some time to get the new way right. fitz has a new qb coach working on his "mechanics"......it messes ya up ...your over thinking about the mechanics instead of what comes naturally.
