  1. You look at both....This isn't an either or proposition.
  2. There is no other way to put it, Shaq so far has been a disappointment. Being good against the run is important, but when you get drafted in the first round as a DE, you need to be able to apply consistent pressure, and he doesn't even come close to doing so.
  3. He does strike me more of a gunslinger. I'm sure we will see plenty of the bad with the good
  4. Poor Sammy, he's such a victim of circumstances. He could have been a contender.
  5. Ya, it most likely didn't go down like this. At all. Everything that I've read and observed tells me they take a different approach than the ad hock one that you are suggesting.
  6. For the umpteenth time, the trade of Dareus had very little to do with attempting to acquire "value" via draft picks/players than getting rid of a player who doesn't fit the team they envision who has severely underperformed his humongous contract.
  7. I want to echo Kyle Williams' sentiment of this trade, that it was probably best for both sides. It got stale. He wasn't fitting in to what McD/Beane were looking for and Dareus needed a change of scenery, a fresh start. I wouldn't be surprised to see Dareus play some good football over the course of the season. The problem with Dareus is his inability to remain disciplined and I believe he has momentary lapses of judgement and it ends up costing him.
  8. Him and the old guard of this board don't get this concept. It is too abstract for them to process. Let it go dude. He never was a consistent high producer with the Bills, he never endeared himself with the Bills fan base or for that matter his teammates. He's a Ram and a low producing one at that. Let it go
  9. Hmmm, Beane. What a bum!!
  10. I have been completely supportive of McD/Beane, everything that I had read about them as they were hired gave me a lot of confidence that they had the sort of organizational makeup and proven experience and success to help the Bills get back into the playoff picture again. When they traded Sammy, it made a lot of sense to me for a number of reasons and I've been supportive of all their other moves as well. However, if they trade Glenn and they don't get back at least a first and some change or a 2nd and a quality player along with it then this would be one move that I'd question. I'd still support the regime, my confidence in them wouldn't erode because I believe they know what they are doing but I'd still question it. Cordy Glenn is showing himself to be a quality LT and those guys don't come cheap. I'd rather we keep him and keep this good thing called the run game continuing to roll along. This offense would immediately become worse without him on the team. I hope we keep him.
  11. Oh, there are plenty of TBD'ers from the old guard that still clamor for the days of Whaley, Sammy, Gilmore, Dareus, J Will and Darby that ask for more. Exactly!
  12. I don't know if these people are being purposely obtuse or if they truly don't understand what the trade was about.
  13. He's not but then again he's just another Tuel.
  14. I hope they don't move Glenn either. He has looked good. Having said that, Glenn is certainly a part of the success of what has been going on, but it also has to do with Ducasse simply being better than Miller at this point and most importantly the changes in scheme blocking that Dennison has put in the playbook.

  16. This guy like many of you simply don't get it. That aside, I predicted early in we would be anywhere from a 5-11 to 9-7 team. Now I think we will be an 8-8 to 11-5 team. The guys in charge are even better than I thought.
  17. How about that strip from Hauschka?
  18. Dude is a grade A Thumper.
  19. I love this team!
  20. Now this is a player that is actually worth the money. He's one of the top 10 WR's in the league, he has the production to match that and he has great speed. I wonder if he fits the mold of player character wise that McD/Beane are looking for. If so, that salary would totally be worth it.
  21. I think this says a lot.
