  1. I can't agree that the Bills D was "plenty good enough." At home, against the second worst offense in the NFL and the worst red zone offense, they gave up 27 points, 3 out of 4 TDs in the red zone and the game tying and game winning drives in the 4th quarter.
  2. This is awesome. Marvin Lewis never wins a playoff game in 16 seasons... 0-6.... promotion to front office! Hue Jackson goes 11-44-1 with two different teams including a 0 win season... immediately promoted to the new head coach!
  3. Agree. It’s amazing how nothing was actually his fault in this game. overthrow Foster... bad route by Foster underthrow Clay... drop by Clay behind Jones over the middle for TD... Jones ran the wrong route interception over the middle... bad route by Benjamin Apparently he played a perfect game. The greatest rookie QB ever.
  4. Looked like a slow read and a slightly late throw. The WR was open and the ball should have been thrown as soon as he made the double move, IMO. Every split second you wait makes the throw longer and more difficult. Allen has the arm to wait an extra split second but maybe not the accuracy.
  5. Don’t forget about QB. They need a real veteran option who has playing experience along with another young prospect, IMO. Hopefully they’ve learned from this season.
  6. I think it’s because Trent Murphy isn’t 100% and isn’t doing bupkis. I wouldn’t be surprised if they shut him down and let him finish healing with Love as his replacement in the rotation.
  7. Good luck with modifying football to eliminate concussions.
  8. So he cheap shotted a WR instead. I'd probably start with the 5 and 6 man rush approach to make him one dimensional and try to punish him (aka the Michale Vick strategy.) The Bills OL is weak so it should be a jail break on most plays without risk of too many deep completions. The only risk is a big run if he escapes so the rushers have to be disciplined. Anyway, I'd expect this to be plan A with safe rushes as plan B.
  9. This is laughable: "If Hunt engaged in a second incident of violence in June, knowing that he was already under scrutiny for the incident in February, that would be the kind of repeat offense that the NFL says its personal conduct policy is designed to prevent." Why would sweeping the previous incident under the rug prevent a subsequent incident? One would think that it would encourage it.
  10. I like how the second writer basically says that if Allen fails it's because the Bills coaches suck, which he seems to think is a possibility.?
  11. Footing on the field looked bad. I'll bet that affected Hauschka on both kicks.
  12. For either team. The game was clearly in his hands.
  13. Needs to work on it. Drew Brees wasn't Drew Brees either his first season...
  14. It seems to me that he doesn't set his feet a lot of the time. Sometimes he's under pressure, other times he is feeling the pressure when, by NFL standards, it isn't there. The throw to Clay was a great example. He made a great play to get away from the two Dolphin pass rushers and bought the time to set his feet and make a good throw. Instead he flicked it downfield on the run and missed by 10 yards.
  15. Clay could have made a great catch there but Allen could also have set his feet and thrown it to him instead of under throwing it by 10 yards. He has plenty of arm to make a good throw there. And the OTs could have blocked somebody too so that Allen wasn't scrambling for his life. It's never just one player.
  16. What he literally said was that he “wanted to make the Pro-Bowl, the playoffs and win the Super Bowl. Those are my goals for this year.” It seems like quite a stretch for him to be targeting the pro-bowl after his play last season but I admire his ambition. On the other hand, I can understand those who were very dubious of these as realistic goals and said so in their posts.
  17. Welcome to TBD. I’ve even read explanations of why Beane deserves credit for Milano and White even though he wasn’t with the organization yet.
  18. Well to be fair, neither the Super Bowl nor the pro-bowl look too likely. He is an average LDE. Yay.
  19. A timeless pair. They go together like peas and carrots.
  20. They turned the case over to OJ for him to pursue once he tracks down the real murderers in his wife's homicide.
  21. Give him to them. And anyone else too if that's what it would take to get a generational player at the most important position in the game.
  22. You are posting in the post-game thread about a player that didn't even play a down in the game. And drawing conclusions about other players based on this. That's what it has to do with it. Saying that Murphy averaged 5.5 yards per carry running draw plays when the Bills were down by 30 is completely irrelevant to how Shady played today.
  23. Murphy didn't have a carry today.
