  1. Good work. Trading a young, former pro bowl player for a fourth round draft pick. Maybe we should try trading OUR fourth round draft pick for someone else's young, pro-bowl level player and actually improve the team. I know, we'll get better tomorrow when we hit gold in the draft...
  2. If you put a rookie QB out there without improving the OL, he will fail and/or get injured. They have got to improve the lines and keep a veteran QB with mobility (i.e. Fitzpatrick) to run the ship until it's safe to put the QB out there...
  3. I really thought that when they took the TVs out of the weight room all of their problems would be solved.
  4. This. Edwards and his staff have made a bad defense look like the worst one in the NFL.
  5. Improving the team means turning draft picks into good players not the other way around. Evans may not be a star, but he's a good player. Call me crazy, but I think the Bills should keep the few good players they have and try to get more.
  6. Frankly, I can't believe RF played as well as he did given the absolute disaserous play around him. The Bill still probably need to bring in a QB, but if they don't put more talent around him- especially on the OL- it will be a waste of a draft pick as he will surely be destroyed and fail to develop.
  7. His injury issues have tarnished his record somewhat, but back in the 4-3, when healthy, he was the best LB the Bills had, IMO. The bills obviously think he's not the same guy anymore. He will definitely be picked up by another team and then we can see if the injuries have hurt his abilities or if he's a good player that the Bills lost.
  8. I don't agree with this move, but he is the best OLB on the team right now. Not one of the entire group can rush the passer or cover a TE or back, but at least Kelsay is OK vs the run. I don't understand why it was a 4 year extension, however. He needs to be replaced, ASAP and why would it take 4 years to do it? If he was resigned it should've been for 1 or 2 years max until new players can be brought in or developed. Maybe they assume that he will eventually provide decent depth behind good starters but the contract seems like too much $$$ for that. Oh well, he's a nice guy.
  9. My thinking as well. They could've picked up Levi Brown anytime they wanted.
  10. Miami's defense didn't look too good against the Jets last night. Maybe it's Miami's D that's overrated because they've played two weak offenses (yes, Minnesota's offense is weak right now). Let's see how he does against the Jets, who do have a good defense. And keep in mind, he's not playing behind NEs offensive line and throwing to Moss, Welker and their two TEs...
  11. This is what I saw also. Everyone seems to be prejudging Fitzpatrick, but to me he has the potential to be solid. He IS accurate, reads defenses well, makes quick decisions and is mobile. He needs work just like everyone else, especially on his footwork. He isn't set on many of his throws and it leads to errors. Also, as Gailey said, he needs to learn when to take risks and when not to. But he has enough ability to be effective in this league. He doesn't have as much experience as people are pretending and he isn't exactly surrounded by an all star cast.
  12. The Bills played most of the game today in their 4-2-5 nickel. Troup is not in that package.
  13. Fitz played about as well as could be hoped given the talent he has around him. If he traded places with Brady, I wonder what the outcome would've been?
  14. I don't really understand the Bills defensive strategy. They played almost the whole game in that 4-2-5 nickel, with Ellison and Scott as LBs. So practically a dime defense. Surprise, surprise, NE runs it down their throat. But here's what I don't get: they can't stop the pass either AND they don't appear to make any adjustments the entire game. When you are in a defense that can't stop the run or the pass, you would think you'd change your basic approach.
  15. It was a pretty weak penalty call by the official.
  16. Kelsay is the best OLB they have so they sign him to an extension. Maybe they plan on cutting the other OLBs (that are even worse) instead of Kelsay...
  17. I doubt that the Jets DST are available in most fantasy leagues...
  18. +1 Most of the threads and posts this week have been even crazier than usual. Relax, it's a game.
  19. Fletcher- definitely, Spikes- probably, Bledsoe- no.
  20. Fitzpatrick does a better job reading defenses and is mobile so he may be able to escape some of the pressure or at least force the D linemen to be a little fore disciplined in their pass rush lanes. That being said, he's not Peyton Manning or Michael Vick. He has negligible passing game talent to work with. He will look bad just like Edwards, but maybe his QB rating will be between 50 and 70 instead of 30 and 40...
  21. Stop. That hurts.
  22. Shhh... Haven't you been reading the expert post on this board? The Redskins area a joke. Their Owner is a wasteful spending buffoon. You can't win in the NFL by spending money. We don't want their coach. He's an overrated prima donna. McNabb can't play anymore. Buddy said so. He's too old. His completion percentage is too low.
  23. They have no TE, WRs can't get open...
