  1. Um... no. I watched him frequently and he got worked. I remember one run in particular where the Bills had it blocked up perfectly and I had visions of a big gainer, only to see Urlacher toss Wrotto aside like a rag doll and stuff the running back cold in the hold for no gain. Green to Howard to Wrotto to ???. Whose next on the carousel?
  2. The only thing I would like is to eliminate the ridiculous ability for a coach on the sideline to call a timeout. Only players on the field should be able to call timeout.
  3. Since the Bills are playing a 4-3 most of the time anyway, he should be playing DE. It's the only position he has played in the NFL and the only one he has even a modicum of competency at. Why the Bills insist on playing Stroud at DE and Kelsay at OLB in a 4-3 defense is beyond me.
  4. If the Bills put the correct combination of numbers on Merriman's contract offer, he will re-sign. Trust me. Don't underestimate the power of money. Let's start by seeing if he can still play well, however.
  5. If the Bills draft a QB #1 overall, he will play at least partially next season and full time the season after that. There will be way too much pressure to play him given his draft slot and probable salary to have his sitting the bench for 2-3 years. If he's sitting the bench that long, he will be a major, major bust. The best way to not throw a rookie QB into the fire is to have a strong OL and running game for him to rely on while he's learning.
  6. Maybe people are worried that he'll take away practice time from Maybin, who is the Bill's real future at the position.
  7. I wonder how Bell and Howard are going to do against Peppers and Idonije. Sounds a little worrisome to me.
  8. Winning the coin toss did seem like a big play at the time.
  9. I think Johnson should be getting more PT in place of Stroud, who has not shown anything at DE, IMO. Moat's injury set him back or he would be out there more already.
  10. I'm not sure how you can say that Carrington is one of our most talented linemen when he can't even get on the field.
  11. If you think the Bills had trouble "setting the edge" and defending stretch plays now, imagine if Carrington and Williams were playing DE! They would also have absolutely no pass rush, but I guess it would be no big loss since they don't have one now.
  12. If that happens, there should be an investigation.
  13. LOL! You are the best troll on this board.
  14. This. Every team appears to have a dominating running back the week they play the Bills. Hmm....
  15. I noticed most of this too. I disagree about Kelsay in a way. Yes, he sucks, but why is he covering TEs and RBs out of the backfield? He is a DE (or should be). You can't excuse getting faked out of his jock by Cassel, however. I mean, he's not Doug Flutie...
  16. OL got worked, no question. It was easy to pick out Howard, but there was no running game and consistent pressure on the QB with very little blitzing needed. It's tough for skill players to work under those conditions.
  17. I agree. The chiefs had a dominating running game and tough defense working. The Bills had nothing. That 2nd half comeback was all heart. They're not that good, but I give them credit for effort, especially Fitzpatrick who I'm sure will receive more that his share of cheap flamings from this board.
  18. I guess we aren't done talking about him since we are on page three and rolling...
  19. Not sure I agree with you. Run the ball in OT? Did you notice that the Bills couldn't gain a yard running the ball? If the coach messed up in his timing to ice the kicker, then he should screw up every time... he missed. The only offensive play calls that I didn't like were those ridiculous middle screens to Jackson. After the first 3 or 4 didn't work, why keep calling them? The Bills lost because they couldn't make the final plays to win... got across the 50 three times at the end of regulation and OT and couldn't get the win out of it.
  20. When the Bills score 40+ points, they will win. Their defense can't stop anybody.
  21. I'm not that old, but I remember the OJ years with the Bills. I've seen a few QBs in my time and I'll tell you this: If I had to pick one historical QB to build a team around, Steve Young would be the guy. His skills were unbelievable.
  22. Yes, it takes a brave, bold man to predict that an 0-6 team that hasn't made the playoffs in a decade and has only had one winning season in that time will lose.
