  1. The problem is never the short winning streaks, it's the excruciatingly painful downward plunge they enter afterwards.
  2. I am partial to the 1984 double striped sleeves/red helmet myself.
  3. I think he has to report first or it doesn't count...
  4. If the Steelers win I fully agree... I don't need that in my life, seriously!
  5. UGLY and hopefully Rudolph won't have no alibi and he's ugly 😁
  6. My sister tried to intervene but she really didn't know the extent of the damage until it was too late. I had to tell her that she cannot blame herself for not doing more or feel guilty, and I am sure you need to hear that as well. Some people are self destructive and no matter how much you try some battles are lost but we never stop trying. Don't be scared... you're carrying on the tradition and making a positive impact by remembering them and telling their story here. That's huge!
  7. Thank you. Alcoholism runs through both sides of my family and I made a decision when I was younger to not drink, and yet now it seems I have been using sugar as a substitute for so long and I now am on a regimen to prevent full blown diabetes, so I am guilty and I needed help and got it. Just trying to prevent more needless death for something that is preventable.
  8. My sister, in the middle of a contentious divorce, received the terrible news that her childhood friend is dying of liver failure at 42. I knew him even though I was older through our church, and he is in hospice now. For many years, he has basically been drinking himself to death because of a secret he could not face as an employee of a Christian school and churchgoer, which is that he was homosexual. This isn't about religion or sexual orientation, but a human being who felt so terrible about this that he drank an insane amount of alcohol which led to liver failure at 42 years old. If you are a person that drinks to excess daily to ease your pain, you don't need to respond to this, just read... PEOPLE CARE ABOUT YOU AND YOU CAN REACH OUT WITH ZERO JUDGMENT. YOUR LIFE MEANS SOMETHING. LET PEOPLE HELP YOU BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. Please... If you know someone who has drank to excess daily in the past and say they are good, follow up with them... don't take their words at face value. Check them out. You may just save a life.
  9. Yeah, why the "lol"? Her son is an addict....
  10. NOTHING. After four straight Super Bowls, NOTHING WORKS so I just watch the games and hope!
  11. See the pyramids along the Nile Watch the sun rise from a tropic isle Just remember, darling, all the while You belong to me See the market place in old Algiers Send me photographs and souvenirs Just remember when a dream appears You belong to me
  12. Although Beane whiffed with Von Miller it seems, the pickup of Rasul Douglas has made up for this deficiency, and McD choosing to sit him is really the best move. The response to criticism that Beane and McD have had has been positive and I applaud them for doing what is necessary.
  13. Drew Bledsoe's game ball vs. the Vikings in 2002 also was displayed in the Hall of Fame, FYI... I went and saw it myself in 2003. Unfortunately things like this aren't automatic 😕 "So off they went to Minnesota in Week 2 with that heavy baggage in tow, a decided underdog in the absurdly loud Metrodome. No one gave the Bills much of a chance, but Bledsoe wasn’t paying attention to the pundits. In just his second game for the Bills, he set a team record for passing yards with 463, a mark that still stands, and his third touchdown pass of the day, a 48-yarder to Peerless Price in overtime, produced a thrilling 45-39 victory." https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2020/08/05/drew-bledsoe-set-bills-passing-record-thrilling-ot-win-over-vikings/3293246001/
  14. I think if they get into the playoffs Nacua will destroy the Cowboys secondary.
  15. We're doing dances over here, to be honest... this guy is a mobile weapon of destruction that could very well save Day's job and propel them forward! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this portal pickup... he is miles more confident with the football than McCord ever was.
  16. Josh hasn't been himself this season passing the ball, but he's only cost us at best TWO games... at Jets because of the second half meltdown and at the Bengals where he didn't play well at all. Our defense didn't hold in three of our losses, the Jaguars game it was a team loss and the two losses I mentioned above.
  17. 1 What did he mean by Josh cost the Bills FOUR games? Where did he get four games from?!?! 2. He was right about one thing he said this week... if the Ravens beat the Steelers, the Bills are going to grill the Dolphins, and if the Steelers win the pressure will be really, REALLY great on the Bills and they would probably lose like they did to the Jets or the Broncos. It would be a very Billsy thing to do 😕
  18. It's not only because of the song but because whenever I hear Harry Chapin I think about his tragic death on the LIE at such a young age... life can be cruel.
  19. It's depressing, because Ryan Day coached the best game of his life vs. UGA and still lost, but now we see how amazing Stroud is. He may have been the beneficiary of Urban's framework and Stroud's ability, and that to me is so sad... our defense got so much better but the play calls on offense and the QB play doomed us.
  20. I get the feeling that she doesn't want the public exposure because of her condition and wants very strong privacy. Tim Curry refuses to let his condition stop him from living his public life and she is the polar opposite and mentally it is too tough for her to appear in public, which should be respected and the family made the decision to abide by her wishes it seems.
  21. That's nice, but if we don't have a QB we are TOAST. We have been through that with the Bills for over a decade and it sucks... If Day loses to TTUN next year and flops even in a 12 team playoff he'll be labeled as the 21st century John Cooper.
  22. Plagiarism is FAR, FAR more serious than insurrection, financial fraud, sexual assault, and election fraud. There's your "Party of Lincoln", folks... see the shiny object to mask the grave criminality of Trump.
  23. What is the point of winning 10+ games a season only to not even make it to the Super Bowl? I've been a fan for decades and the pain of losing Homerun Throwback or off of Flutie turnovers and the Dolphins (their last playoff win) or to the Jags TWICE or 13 seconds or laying an egg v. the Bengals is MORE than just having losing seasons with AVP, Collins, Losman, Edwards or Tryrod as QB. Give me a break... this team had a TON of talent and it's been wasted and Josh has to share at least some of that blame... not all, not mostly, but some.
  24. I remember rolling out of the stands after we beat the Jets in 1999 and running into Ralph walking down the concourse! Of course I had met him before at the NFL Winter Meeting in Charlotte a few years before, but just to see him lively with a big smile on his face like a regular fan was heartwarming and unforgettable, unlike this clown Tepper!!! Ralph may have been cheap, but he wasn't classless.
