If Diggs played great and Gabe played solid then WHY ARE THEY NOT STILL HERE??!? We actually upgraded our WRs and their defense is worse. It's a great analogy, because I was a Chief in the Navy and my division (electronics and comm technicians) and I always had the "Man in the Arena" speech from Theodore Roosevelt up for everyone to see. Shakir is the best receiver we have ever had by catch percentage... his ability in this area is simply uncanny. Normally HBs and TEs dominate this stat, but Shakir is like a Hoover vacuum. 86.7% last year and 94.7% this year for catch percentage is outer worldly! Separation, shmeparation if you can catch...

Trading for Cooper wasn't a "there's always next year" kind of a move... what do you expect in a transition year like this one? Beane jettisoned the older players and bit the bullet cap wise and that is what great teams do. While it isn't perfect it is what we have to do to remain a force and not just grasp for shiny objects.

The Browns can get a ton more for Garrett than any other player on that team, but there is no way they would do it. Beane isn't going to mortgage our future by throwing high value picks around, he just isn't. We're getting Von back soon and Milano in December... this team can only get better without sacrificing future high value picks.

Clearly in 2024 that doesn't even matter anymore if you have money.
