11/3/24 Game 9 GAMEDAY! Bills vs Dolphins Gameday Thread
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you don't think that Keon and Amari Cooper are better than Diggs and Davis then I can't help you. They are clearly resting Coop because they feel they can beat the Dolphins without him... it's smart. Davis is already in Lawrence's doghouse because he isn't reliable... sounds familiar -

If Diggs played great and Gabe played solid then WHY ARE THEY NOT STILL HERE??!? We actually upgraded our WRs and their defense is worse. This game is about Josh and James going off on them, and doesn't involve the two safeties that no longer play for us anymore. The Fish simply cannot stop us and when they try to keep up, Tua looks silly and vulnerable. -

We've beaten them SEVEN of the EIGHT meetings Tua has started against us, our only loss in the wilting heat of Miami Gardens. How are they better this go around?!!? -

You do realize we spanked the Fish the last time we played then with this same exact lineup on offense??? They are clearly resting him for a game they should easily win... good lord -
Even Niners fans are getting priced out!

Wanna bet?!?! See Major League Baseball, who continuously allow franchises to put out low payroll teams on the field not caring one whit about their fans. The park could be empty for the entire season and the Pirates owner would make countless millions in revenue sharing money, for example. -
Some Penn State cultists are upset that they have to play at noon instead of at night... To them I say SUCK IT UP, BUTTERCUP!!!! 0-H...

Without the Battle of the Coral Sea, Midway could have been different, but we agree! It's a great analogy, because I was a Chief in the Navy and my division (electronics and comm technicians) and I always had the "Man in the Arena" speech from Theodore Roosevelt up for everyone to see. It's a team environment that gets really close once the missions start and everything must be on point. Nothing ever goes as planned but if you put the best people in charge of the pieces it's all you can do. Personally I love Tora! Tora! Tora! because it presents the mindset and actions of both friend and foe... you honestly learn more from failure than success.

Looking at Race for the #1 Seed
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am a realist... after seeing the Bills look pedestrian vs. the Bengals and the same bugaboos come up vs. the Chiefs, I have come to the "punch your ticket and let the chips fall where they may" conclusion. -

I was going to say the exact same thing!!! Punch the ticket and beat the teams you play in the playoffs. Home field is not as advantageous as it once was. That being said, let the Ravens or Texans face the Steelers in the first round... that's the best case scenario. -
TNF. Jets Texans. Who do we want to win tonight?

Someone is getting paid to throw this game, that's for sure. -
Man, that's exactly what I'm talking about... health issues can take down anyone in a second, especially a stroke and I cannot IMAGINE that. I love cold weather but ever since my lungs have gotten progressively worse, I can't do it anymore and have to eventually move somewhere in the southwest.

AOC meltdown - Libs eating their own
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
He'll remember Kamala Harris and Jack Smith's name the rest of his life, that's for damn sure. We've got this. Rest in peace knowing we're sending this clown to a second straight loss and hopefully into a prison cell or a nursing home where he belongs. -
Another of us TBD OGs gone... that is terrible news. You just never fu*&*$ KNOW when your number is up. Cherish every single damn moment.

Receiver separation is still BAD
EasternOHBillsFan replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Shakir is the best receiver we have ever had by catch percentage... his ability in this area is simply uncanny. Normally HBs and TEs dominate this stat, but Shakir is like a Hoover vacuum. 86.7% last year and 94.7% this year for catch percentage is outer worldly! Separation, shmeparation if you can catch... -
That smug arrogant pr*** when he loses warms my heart... can't wait.

Happy Valley is going to be an absolute circus and the Ringleader is appearing, so that will make the game even worse. I don't envy any Buckeyes fans making that trip and having not only to deal with the Penn State cult but all of the extra security and traffic/lines that will occur.

James Lofton 1989 and Amari Cooper 2024
EasternOHBillsFan replied to DeepPass's topic in The Stadium Wall
Judging by the shows Keon and Shakir put on, you can't definitively say that at all. Who could have predicted Andre Reed would be a HOF receiver in 1989? -
A $20 million cap hit comes along with the pick, and how would we remotely cover that number? The Browns aren't. If he does move, it is not to the Bills during the season.

So is Joe Columbo still considered Italian? Asking for certain "friends of the family"

Trading for Cooper wasn't a "there's always next year" kind of a move... what do you expect in a transition year like this one? Beane jettisoned the older players and bit the bullet cap wise and that is what great teams do. While it isn't perfect it is what we have to do to remain a force and not just grasp for shiny objects.
-
The Browns can get a ton more for Garrett than any other player on that team, but there is no way they would do it. Beane isn't going to mortgage our future by throwing high value picks around, he just isn't. We're getting Von back soon and Milano in December... this team can only get better without sacrificing future high value picks.
